Not A Dream

'I am sorry Robin,' Adam thought as Robin signed the contract and then looked shocked when she saw it vanish in thin air before entering Adam's body, things were a bit different this time since it was his obligation to reach the end of this contract by fulfilling the demand.

"Come on let's go," Adam said as he stood up and walked towards the door.

"B-But the scary people…." Robin said with fear but Adam smiled reassuringly.

"I told you right, no one will harm you anymore," Adam said as he opened the door as Robin hesitantly followed him.

And soon they were on the shore of the burning island with….

"Sakazuki you will not kill that child!" Kuzan seemed to have had enough, he already couldn't believe that Sakazuki blew up a civilian ship, and now he was about to kill a child after killing the former vice admiral Saul.

But Sakazuki wasn't focused on Kuzan, instead...

"Who are you?" He looked at Adam who was looking around and this made Kuzan look back only to get in a defensive stance ready to attack at any time.

'I didn't even feel him arrive,' Kuzan was in a stupor because of that and…

"I have no interest in talking to you," Adam frowned looking at Sakazuki and Kuzan he turned his eyes to look at Robin who was trembling, her eyes fixed on the corpse of the giant that was on the ground not that far from them.

"We'll leave in a bit Robin," Adam assured Robin by patting her shoulder lightly to calm her down but it wasn't doing much since…

"You will go nowhere criminal, this place will be your grave," Sakazuki rushed forward to attack Adam and Robin with his fist that was turned into magma.

Kuzan was too focused on Adam to even be able to stop Sakazuki who was already near the two and…

"Can't you see that you are scaring the kid?" Adam said in a low voice but his voice was heard by everyone on the island as an invisible wave passed through the place…

"Argh!" Sakazuki was knocked back and without even being able to resist crashed on the ground unconscious, and it wasn't him alone Kuzan along with the other marine soldiers were the same.

They all fell to the ground, and not them alone even the Marine soldiers and Cp9 officers on the ships that were surrounding the island fell unconscious at the same time.

None of them knew what it was that struck them and the wave didn't stop, it kept on traveling further and further as it was felt by people around the world.

And even if it wasn't focused on them, if someone asked everyone around the world what they felt at the time, They would all start sweating. Since the feeling was so fresh in their mind, The feeling of fear that is.

It was someone from 'above' who was watching them, something divine and demonic at the same time.

"It is ok Robin, you don't need to worry about them, see they are all sleeping," Adam told Robin as she was biting her lower lip in terror, she was subjected to Sakazuki's bloodlust before, so even if Adam protected her this time, she was already scared from the last time.

"…Really?" Robin asked and Adam nodded.

"They won't even come looking for you from now on," Adam smiled as he snapped his finger and every one of the unconscious Marines were covered in a dull red light.

'None of them will remember you were here,' Adam thought as he picked up Robin and walked towards the sea, 'If even this upsets the Administrator then so be it.'

Adam wasn't going to compromise this, since without this Robin will most likely get chased by the World Government as the last survivor of Ohara.

"Let's go somewhere else," Adam said as he could feel Robin wanting to say something but stopped herself trembling.

'She already knows that her mother is dead and she will never see her again,' Adam gently patted Robin's back as she sobbed slowly, even if she knew the truth didn't mean she would be able to get over it.

She was more mature than the kids her age, and that was as much of a curse as it was a blessing.

'Maybe I'll just walk over to the next island,' Adam thought as he walked on water rather than teleporting to give Robin a chance to settle down.

And while he traveled to the nearby island the Grand Line was in an upheaval because of the abrupt burst of Haki that shook all the seas was more prominently felt by those who were experienced Haki users, or had Haoshoku Haki themselves.

But Adam had no interest in that as he entered a small town on the island that was northeast of Ohara and entered an inn while he carried the sleeping Robin.

"New to the town lad?" The old man at the counter asked and Adam paid.

"Yeah," Adam nodded and…

"Put the little lass to bed first, you can ask me questions later," The old man said as Adam walked to the room with a smile.

'I wonder what happened fer this young pair of father and child to come ere of all places, does he have anything to do with those families?' But the old man soon shook his head, it wasn't like it was his job to interrogate them.

He was an inn owner so it would be better to mind his own business.

'She should be able to sleep without any problems,' Adam was surprised to find that the beds in this inn weren't that bad and the room also had good security, but even then he placed several traps and used all the precautions to make sure nothing comes close to Robin while she is asleep.

He walked out and saw the old man placing two cups of tea on the table, one for himself and one for…

"Thanks for the tea," Adam said as he picked it up naturally.

"Don't mention it, so what do ya want to ask this old man?" The old man spoke while taking a sip.

"Hmm, I want to know what this town has to offer," Adam asked and the old man smiled.

"I knew ya were a troublesome fella,"

Adam talked with the old man named Raul for a few hours over tea which was later turned into alcohol.

"I see, so that is what it is, poor lass, to lose her mother in the struggle between the pirates and the mafia, It really is a blessing that ya two came out unscathed," Raul shook his head in dismay.

Adam had made up a story that they were currently on the run from the Mafia and ended up on this island by hiding on a ship.

He didn't even know that Mafia was prominent around this place and just made up things after hearing Raul mention it.

"Don't ya worry I'll help ya with some fake identification and help ya buy a house in a few days, stay here in the meantime nd take care of the little one," In the end, Raul agreed to help Adam out because he felt really bad for the young Robin.

'I feel bad lying to him,' Adam sighed since this old man had a good heart and not to mention good connections, 'It was a great decision to follow the divination.'

"Yeah, thanks for that," Adam thanked the old man as things would get a lot easier with his help, otherwise he would need to use magic to get the job done which wasn't that good of an idea.

"No problem, just ask me anything if ya need help, don't be shy about it since the little kid is depending on ya," Raul laughed.

"So, there is something I want to ask," Adam said and Raul listened attentively.

"Can I use the kitchen here?" Adam asked since he needed to make food so he needed a place, the inn had a kitchen so he thought of using it.

And he got permission from Raul easily since the latter already said he'd help with anything.

"Well, I should go and check the room," Adam muttered after putting a drunk Raul back in his room.

"She's still asleep, well that is good," Adam said after walking into the room, he sat down on the chair and continued to do his own thing as the night slipped away.

And as soon as it was 5 in the morning Robin jolted up in the bed because…

'I need to do the chores, aunt is going to be mad,' Robin was moving like she was possessed but she was brought out of it quickly.

"Robin, you woke up quite early," Robin turned and looked at Adam, and that also helped her recollect, no it would be better to say that she was able to understand that…

'It wasn't a ...bad dream,'
