Something New
They could only curse at the reason why this happened.
And far from them, those curses reached him clearly…
"Whoever that is thinking about me… hope you are wishing for my happiness," Adam muttered while rubbing his ear, he was getting used to this now.
Currently, he was just enjoying a leisurely afternoon with some tea and cakes, there was nothing else to do aside from waiting.
'Should I continue with that project?' Adam wondered if he should really do that, it was clear that he didn't need to do it by his own hands. Truth be told, he could do it even in his current position.
"Which game should I play first?" But he would obviously do it with his own hands.
"Let's work on the computer first, I should be able to play a lot of games on there," Adam made his choice as he stood up and stretched his body a little.
He went into the room beside the bedroom and started to work in there, and he continued to modify parts while reading about them to understand more.
And after a few days, he finally made his own custom PC and without any delay, he installed a game on it and started to play.
It was a DBZ fighter game and he continued to play it for the rest of the day before he got bored.
"It is boring when you learn about the computer's combos….." Adam sighed, the game's AI was limited as the game was quite old that is why, "Let's update this with new combos…" he just thought of a devious plan.
"Let's work on the graphics while he is at it and expand the move set, I'll make sure that even Asian gamers cry and smash their keyboards," Adam just wanted to see the world burn after he released this game.
And how will he go about this?
"Aha, I found 'em," Adam smirked looking at the programming books he had bought in advance, he was planning on learning this in detail to make the game even better.
Even when there was an easy way, he chose to go through the arduous one, Why?
That's just how he had done things till now.

Squad 11 headquaters, Seireitei.
There has always been the saying that one can find eternal peace in the afterlife.
Once you die you do not have to worry about anything, you'll live in paradise if you haven't committed any sins and donated to the places of worship. It was a common promise made in religions all around the world.
But that didn't seem true here, as after death there were people here that got saddled with more responsibility than they had when they were alive.
One could say that here the dead had way more to do than the living, and many of them faithfully carried out that task of theirs.
And many others just went along with it just for the sake of their own needs….
"Another normal day, huh," The Captain of the 11th Squad of the Gotei 13, The First Kenpachi, Unohana Yachiru was one of such people, "there really is nothing to do…" She had a very selfish reason as to why she joined this organization.
But lately, that reason was slowly waning, the war was over and there were no more opponents, she could no longer do what she wanted to, and the reason she joined this organization was different from what its true purpose.
"I should talk to the Captain General," Yachiru muttered while firmly holding the handle of the katana on her waist, she was feeling the strong urge again. So, she needed a reason to satiate that now.
Staying in one place and waiting for someone to attack, was not something she could do, after all, it was not working.
'It is boring,' Yachiru didn't care about the rights and wrongs, she simply wanted to fight and develop further, then fight some more to develop more, and continue that cycle till her end.
There was nothing else she wanted aside from that, the truth was she got what she wanted at the start, but now things were different.
Even after establishing the 11th squad as a battle-centered arena where might makes right, she had been waiting for someone to challenge her position, but so far the only ones who had done it were…
'Lousy mutts with no skill or intellect,' Yachiru was far more disappointed than her calm face showed, there were some exceptional people, but it seemed that waiting here for an opponent was futile.
This is why….
"I remember there being some criminals at the edge of Rukongai," She decided to seek out the opponents on her own after hearing a passing rumor last night, at least that was her plan until she turned around.
"A door?" She questioned while slashing at the door with lightning-quick speed, and only after seeing that her katana was blocked, not even able to make a knick on it.
"Interesting…" She said after reading the words on the paper that was stuck to the door.
"You can grant my wish?" She muttered sheathing her sword, those words didn't matter. The very fact that this door was here meant that someone formidable had arrived, but…
"…I will be the judge of that." Yachiru held the door handle without any hesitation.
There was nothing that she needed to think about, what she wanted was simple, and she knew that whatever was behind this door was surely 100 times more interesting than some measly criminals in Rukongai.
The fact that her attack didn't even leave a mark on the door, something that appeared there without her even being able to sense it, this was enough reason for her to move forward, and as soon as she opened the door fully, she was greeted by a... friendly man.
"Welcome to the Wish Shop, My name is Adam, would you like tea or coffee?" Adam asked with an appropriate smile on his face, he was trying to be hospitable. It was the least he could do but his guest had other thoughts.
'…A … human? He can see me?' Yachiru was examining Adam from head to toe, 'No… He's no human…' and that was the only thing she could conclude about him at this moment.
"…Juice maybe?" Adam on the other hand, was confused seeing her being so silent.
'Does she not like to drink anything?' He wondered while still waiting for her response.
It has been two months since Esdeath left, which is why Adam thought that it would take some time before someone came, so he was relaxing after he was done with the project.
But then this woman who looked like she had just walked out of a period drama, and she was saying nothing, it was a bit confusing but this came with the job, so he had to deal with it.
'I feel like she is going to attack me,' Adam was certain of it from the look in her eyes, but there was no need to worry, since she didn't have such plans… for now.
"My Name is Unohana Yachiru, and I'll take some tea," It was only after another minute of silence that she spoke up, and her words were rather concise.
"Right away, please sit down," Adam smiled since now the awkward part was over, they could now talk properly.
"Thank you," Unohana promptly sat down on the sofa, it was weird but she chose not to think about it.
'I haven't seen cutlery like this before…along with this room…. strange,' The white ceramic tea cups with red flowers on them did get her attention, no it was true that there were a lot of things that drew her attention, but she didn't have time for those; since something else became the center of her thoughts.
"Here's your tea," Adam walked over with a Yunomi (Tall ceramic tea cup without handles) and placed it in front of Unohana.
"I wonder if this is a sign…" She muttered looking at the upright stem in her cup, she wasn't someone who enjoyed tea, but she had heard of the superstitions surrounding it because there was someone who kept talking to her all the time, all that person did was bring this type of information and bore her.
It was just that this was the first time she had seen it herself, and it was weird that it had happened right after she came here.
"What? Is there something wrong?" Adam asked and Unohana shook her head.
"It is nothing, you have my gratitude for the tea," She said and took a sip after checking the contents inside the cup.
'He is no ordinary individual after all,'
