Food Is The Answer

On the other hand..."My ear feels itchy again, who is cursing me? Is it those ogres again?" Adam muttered as he was back in Tokyo and he was looking for someone. While avoiding the people around who were also workingAnd he soon found her outside of Shibuya which couldn't even be called Shibuya because of the destruction. She seemed to be quite tired at the moment after hunting curses the entire night but she noticed him as soon as he came near."Where were you?" Even her tone seemed cranky and at times like Adam knew the move to handle this."Want some breakfast?" Adam was trying to make her forget things with good food.Nobara looked at him with an annoyed expression, but…"Ah, these pancakes are to die for!" Nobara ate happily in a house near Shibuya, they were just borrowing it since people had already been evacuated from there and no one was around.'Hope they don't mind us using the dining room,' Adam thought as Nobara had no such thoughts."Seriously this is insane, What's with this pasta? It is too good," Nobara was too busy having her food because she spent the entire night battling curses she couldn't have any food, which is why she was so vocal about how much she enjoyed it."You want seconds?" Adam asked and…"What type of question even is that? Of course yes! I am going thirds as well!" Nobara spoke with her cheeks full of the fluffy pancake while the maple syrup was covering her lips fully.'It is just so good, Like how can it melt in the mouth like that, also the maple syrup is too good, which brand is it?' Nobara had more comments and questions but her hands were stopping while her mouth was constantly busy.'Well, as long as she enjoys it,' Adam shrugged getting more food for her.And she continued to ask for more till an hour later when she was satisfied.'I can eat more than ten times the normal amount when it is his food,' Nobara thought as it felt like his food just vanished as soon as it entered her stomach at the start but…'I now feel full, no hunger and my stomach doesn't even feel bloated, it is so weird,' Nobara didn't know how that worked but had an idea since, 'My body feels like it is overflowing with vitality and even my cursed energy is back to full.'She was totally spent both physically and mentally after last night but now she was back on full power along with a considerable boost without any rest after just eating. Nobara didn't know how Adam did that, and in all honestly, she didn't need to.'Something like this is certainly an ability that will be wanted, no wonder I got a phone call from granny along with those orders that came from above asking for information,' Nobara had been contacted to get info about Adam since it was clear from last night that who was the closest to him, and if she co-operates she is in for huge rewards that have been promised. All she will need to do is tell them about this food thing alone and the higher-ups will be more than happy, an ability like this demanded that type of attention no she was still downplaying it, but…'Who the hell cares about that? They are so annoying,' Nobara frowned but her frown was for something different since she didn't even care for the higher-up's offer. The frown was because…'But he did just vanish without a word last night, he should've at least given me his contact info, No, wasn't it me who went away first? ….Anyway, he should've at least given me some way to contact him when I forgot about it, does he not want to stay in contact?' Nobara was having such thoughts but there was another thing she needed to ask."You still didn't tell me where you were?" Nobara wanted to know since if he had come earlier she would've been able to leave her fatigue behind sooner, not to mention she was dying to have some nice grub. This is why she asked that question."I was with someone," Adam said openly, he had no intentions of hiding it.Nobara blinked upon hearing those words, it was weird because…"With someone?" She repeated those words since who could he be with?'Well, I don't know anything about him, so it could be that it was someone he knew,' Nobara thought and she was over it already while Adam was looking at her, but there was still a question that she wouldn't have asked someone else but...'No, I shouldn't ask that,' Nobara quite purged the thought immediately.'She isn't asking anything more?' Adam thought but in the end, he rolled with it since that was easier, and there was another important thing he needed to tell her."I will be leaving now," Adam said and Nobara just looked at him."Did something happen?" Nobara could in a sense guess it but…'Must be the excessive reaction shown by the higher-ups, he was pretty much unknown before, I actually thought that he knew them, but I guess not,' She wasn't correct about that, Adam was leaving because of another reason.'It is because of that warning, No, actually, that is just an excuse,' Adam had some things he had to do and he didn't really feel like staying in this world at this moment since he had something he needed to do.'I'll have to see how things go, Well they are bound to be bad but I guess I do deserve it for not talking to them about it,' Adam thought as he looked at Nobara who seemed like she was in deep thought."So…" And after a while she looked at Adam while crossing her arms."Hmm?" Adam tilted his head looking at her since…'The atmosphere seems weird,' Adam narrowed his eyes to see the small blush on Nobara's face, it was weird seeing her that way since she wasn't the type to act like that."Is there a way to…" Nobara once again stopped and he could see her gritting her teeth lightly, her embarrassment was conveyed even if she didnt say anything."A way to…?" Adam couldn't understand what was going on since…'Arghhh! Just be out with it!!!' Nobara just sucked it up and spoke loudly, a bit too loudly."Is there a way to keep your food with me while you are gone?!!" Nobara shouted and Adam blinked."…That was it?" Adam sighed it seemed that…'I was thinking too much,' Nobara was just asking for some more spare food so she could have some while he was gone, 'Did she like that much?'"…What do you mean 'That was it'? This is a serious problem," Nobara pointed out since…'The food is just too good, but I don't know if he has a way to do that, he should right?' There was a reason why Nobara thought that it would be possible for Adam and…"Well, yes, I can do that," Adam didn't let her down, he immediately prepared a generous amount of food for her and gave her a storage bracelet like the one he gave to Ophis to keep her daily meals, and if the amount of food he gave her was counted based on Ophis's appetite.'She should be able to go be okay with it for a month given her appetite,' Adam shook his head since Ophis finished this amount of food in a day and still asked for desserts, It was too easy for her."Just think of the food and it will come out on a dish and the dish will go back once you want it to, also don't worry there will be a new cutlery with every dish," Adam said and Nobara looked at the bracelet, she could hear him but her attention was stolen by something else.'This is kinda cute,' Nobara looked at the cat's paw ingrained in one of the stones of the bracelet as she looked at the manly specimen in front of her, 'Didn't expect that from him.' "So, how do I know what dishes are inside this?" But Nobara was interested in the food inside the bracelet, it wasn't like she knew everything Adam cooked, it could be that she was potentially missing out on something delicious. And she couldn't have something like that."You just need to close your eyes and think of the bracelet, it will show you a list of dishes inside that are inside with visual representation and the number as well," Adam made it super easy to operate, in fact, it was so easy that even a 5-year-old can use it since it was even voice-assisted.'It can also give out thousands of combinations if the user is confused, it was a small hassle to program it that way,' Even if he thought that it only took him a few minutes to make them."That's neat," Nobara said closing her eyes, she could see everything in front of her, there were so many dishes and they all looked great. But now wasn't the time to be lost in the dishes."Well, then I'll go,"
