Why Are You Just Standing There?

‘They have good teamwork,’ Adam thought as he saw the three beat the living shit out of Mahito and the one who was getting beat up was…

‘I can’t use my cursed technique on Sukuna’s vessel, and that top not is always out of the way while keeping that girl away as well, I can’t split to avoid attacks or divide myself and use it as bait since that girl is here,’ Mahito knew that it was basically suicide to do that with Nobara around, at this point there two of his natural enemies were fighting him together, and even if he uses his domain expansion.

‘That guy is weird, I sense no curse energy from him but he was able to stop my Domain expansion before with something similar to a barrier technique,’ Mahito was looking at Adam who was quite a distance away from him and he seemed to be looking around the place, he was totally distracted and this would be the right time to redo his domain but…

‘I feel like his hand is on my neck, I can feel it grasp me even if there is nothing on here,’ Mahito thought as this was pretty much an indication, that no matter how far away Adam was or how distracted he seemed

‘I am still in the range of that movement technique of his,’ Mahito thought of the way Adam arrived here with Nobara and it made sense, so now he was basically in a spot from where he could never come out of.

But even with all of that……

‘This is so much fun!! I can feel it now, the true form of my soul,’ Mahito thought with a smirk.

“Egh! What’s with that Creep?” Nobara grimaced looking at the look of joy on Mahito’s face.

“I will now be rebor- GUh*” Mahito was just about to change into his ultimate form that he finally but someone wasn’t having it and that was…

“Keep your trap shut and don’t disturb them,” It was Adam who sent Mahito flying with a single punch making him bounce on the ground like a stone over the surface of the lake.

“Hey, Adam don’t barge into my fight!! Even if that was a good punch I can’t allow that since I should be the one to do it,” Nobara said but Adam just gestured at her to lower her voice as well.

“Like I said don’t disturb them,” But this only confused Nobara since…

“Who are you talking about?” Nobara asked since there was no one around here and Todo looked fully interested as well.

“The spirits of the people who met an untimely end here, just let them have a peaceful departure,” Adam said and Itadori clenched his fists, the reason for that was apparent.

‘Even if Kugisaki is safe, what happened here was…’ But it wasn’t like he could do anything about it since…

The place they were currently standing in was a 400-meter wide circular area that was devoid of any buildings or life, and that too in the middle of Shibuya.

Something like this wasn’t supposed to happen but the one responsible for this was…

“You don’t need to look that way, they don’t blame you, since it wasn’t you who killed them,” Adam said looking at Itadori who was left wide-eyed.

“You hear that brother,” Todo smiled widely as he hit Itadori’s back.

“…Yeah,” Itadori was on the verge of tears, this was something that was indeed eating away at him even if he was braving himself and fighting Mahito, it could be said that he was forcing himself to fight all this time.

It was just that…

“Now isn’t the time for that you idiots, that patch face will run away, I still haven’t hit him enough times,” Nobara ran in the direction where Mahito was launched earlier as Adam shook his head seeing as the other two also ran that way.

He looked back down at the person who was grabbing his hand, it was a little boy or more like…

“It is time to go now kid,” Adam said to the soul of the kid who was holding his hand.

“But I don’t want to, I wanna go see Mama,” The kid said crying a little, he was just about 7 years old, and he came here with his older brother but got separated from him in the rush.

“Well, sometimes you need to do things you don’t want to that’s how you become an adult,” Adam said and the kid tilted his head.

“I don’t understand,”

“Trust me neither do I, but some things are just like that,” Adam smiled slightly as he looked at the boy again.

“You’re funny uncle,” The kid laughed as his body started to turn into light particles and slowly vanished.

“Live a long life next time, make your parents proud, get married, have kids, and only pass on after you’ve seen them live happily,” Adam said looking at the sparkling white lights in front of him knowing he won’t get an answer. The thing was that he could bring them back if he wanted to but...

‘This world will not allow that, the constraints here are much stricter,’ Adam thought as he turned around, and since he was unable to do that he made sure that…

“They can at least go forward peacefully instead of plaguing this land for years to come,”

And with that, he went ahead and started to walk in the direction where others went since there seemed to be a problem there.

‘They seem to be having a lot of fun,’ Adam thought as he was walking the distance quickly ignoring the eyes that were on him, and he was greeted by an interesting scene.

“Should I save you Mahito?” Adam saw a man in yukata robes looking like a monk and he was talking to the half-dead-ish Mahito whose body was broken in more ways than one.

‘Why can’t I change back? What did he do?’ Mahito had tried to reshape himself but that wasn’t working after he got hit by Adam and…

“You ain’t saving shit till I am done with him!” Nobara was still adamant about her revenge and ran forward and of course…

“You are quite an impatient one, Do you know that people in the Edo period believed that giant catfishes that moved underground were the cause of earthquakes?” As soon as the man said that the ground below Nobara opened up with another cursed spirit with sharp tentacles coming towards her from above, but…

“Hmm, Of course, you would do this,” The man said as with a clap of Todo’s hand he found himself and Nobara switching places, and since he was the one who was in control he could simply control the Cursed Spirits. That is when…

“Give him back!!” Itadori rushed towards Suguru to get to the Prison realm, inside which his and Nobara’s teacher, Gojo Satoru was sealed.

“You can use your cursed Spirit manipulation Suguru Geto, but I’ll make sure you are always on the receiving end of the attack,” Todo said looking at the man, this man was a famous criminal that caused the Night Parade of 100 demons in Shinjuku and Kyoto last year.

‘Interesting,’ Suguru thought as he decided to face Itadori in close combat, but it wasn’t like he was alone.

“I thought this would happen,” Suguru smiled calmly as he dodged three arrows that were coming from his left as he moved out of the way while deflecting Itadori’s punch sending him to the right side.

And then he heard the sound of a gun from behind Itadori who was covering his vision with that he switched places with Itadori being able to see a girl with short hair carrying a sniper rifle and a bullet that was already coming at him.

"That was good," Suguru said as he stopped the bullet with a cursed spirit, he barely made it in time.

“Tsk,” The girl clicked her tongue seeing that her attack was blocked by Suguru in time, but there was another person who switched places with Itadori was another Jujutsu high student who was from Kyoto.

It was Miwa who was putting everything in that one swing, staking all of her future on it, but in front of Suguru, it was nothing as he quickly stopped her blade and broke it.

“I guess that is enough playing around, Maximum Uzumaki,” Suguru smiled as his blast was aimed straight at Miwa and she would’ve been killed if not for others jumping to save her.

“Utahime Sensei, Kusakube?” Miwa was dumbfounded since she wasn’t even able to react.

“Todo what are you doing sending her there?!” Momo another one who came to save Miwa shouted at Todo who switched her in with Itadori but he didn’t reply, he had his own reasons for doing this.

“Hey, Adam why are you just standing there?”
