[72] To Not Let Him Slip Away (1)

Chapter 72: To Not Let Him Slip Away (1)

—

In the canon timeline, Nami stabbed her arm where the Arlong Pirates tattoo was present. This time, she didn’t have to do that. However, that didn’t mean she didn’t want to change that tattoo – if possible.

The Vinpearl Amusement Park, where Hashirama brought his crew as he had self-promised, had the tools to implant tattoos. Hashirama just had to cut the skin on her arm, use Mystical Palms to heal it right away, and then put a new tattoo on it.

When Nami woke up from the anesthesia dose, waking up from her sleepy state, she sat up and froze looking at the mirror.

"Does that seem good enough?"

The sound of people having fun was filling the tent that Hashirama and Nami were inside. The sound of multiple rides moving in the background was not exactly pleasant to the ears, but as Nami looked into the mirror, she couldn’t be any happier.

Although people were busy outside, the smell of activity was clear, inside the tent was silent. Nami sat on a bed, and Hashirama stood beside her, they stared at the large body-sized mirror in front of them and watched the result of their actions.

It was seamless, the tattoo on her left arm. The mark that once represented Arlong’s flag was gone and replacing it was a new cute tattoo. Nobody could tell another tattoo existed here before.

“I had to fight the urge to draw something funny, like a d-”

Hashirama tried to break the silence, but Nami turned around and threw herself on his chest. Hashirama gasped dramatically and stopped speaking.

“Uhhhh…”

“Thank you.”

Hashirama knew how to use a tattoo machine, and his skills with Fuinjutsu helped too. That’s why, although the tattoo on her arm was the same as the one in the cannon timeline, it was a little more beautiful.

Nami, who was still a little mad at Hashirama for leaving with her abruptly, now hugged him tightly as her heart tightened with the feeling of further gratefulness.

…The two didn't notice when Vivi came to check on them by lifting the veil of the tent slightly. Seeing the scene inside, she stayed silent for a moment and then walked away.

*  *  *

Tsunade just fought Vergo near the Reverse Mountain. Now, she was still there, waiting for Hashirama to come out.

However, she would be annoyed to know that he was nowhere near the Reverse Mountain. The ship of the Senju Pirates was approaching the calm belt, instead.

The sky was dark, yet it was filled with countless little stars. The moon hung on the dark blue veil, and the crew started their drinking session.

The sound of booze filling up cups after cups spread through the deck of Sail of Ohara. The ship cut through the sea waves and moved forward at a remarkable speed, leaving for the calm belt.

"Now that a few days have passed since you were injured, you should be able to drink safely."

Hashirama offered Nami a cup that she slowly accepted. The other girls also accepted it, with Vivi wearing a frown as she looked down at the booze, her mind busy.

It's been two days since Nami left her village. The crew made their way to the Vinpearl Amusement Park and spent a day there. Clone-rama-1 had promised to bring the entire crew to that place after getting Nami, so the Main Hashirama was just living up to that promise.

Karoo was tired from the activities all day long, so she was asleep. The four girls and Hashirama were the only ones awake, and except for him, the others were dead tired.

"Can't we just go to sleep?"

"It's kinda a rule to drink with the new crewmate. We did it with you too, remember?"

As Mikita complained, Hashirama pointed out how it had been done for her too. It was natural for it to be done for Nami, as well.

"Tch."

Mikita ended the conversation by pouring alcohol down her throat. She was not in a good mood recently, since she had some doubts about the recent developments.

"Take it easy, we are supposed to touch our cups."

Robin said from the side, yawning. She had too much fun today, though she didn't want to admit it.

Mikita's throat rumbled as she watched Hashirama pour a drink into her cup again, his eye-locking onto her and staring dryly.

"All right,"

Hashirama raised a bottle of booze, while the others raised their cups.

"...You should control your drinking, by the way, Hashirama."

Nami cleared her throat and said in a stern voice. At her tone, Robin and Mikita exchanged glances. Even the usually oblivious Vivi looked weird now.

Hashirama ignored all of their side glances and said,

"We'll see. Cheers."

"Cheers."

The girls touched cups together and then allowed the drink to run down their throats.

…..

Later,

"Bastard, you- hicc! -intentionally made the drinks that strong, didn't you?"

That was Mikita's complaint before she lost consciousness and went out. Robin had a red face too, but she was controlling herself. Even drunk, she was composed.

Hashirama laughed on the floor as the girls shot him glares and left, hiccupping and yawning at the same time.

Left alone, Hashirama lay down on his back and stared up at the sky.

*  *  *

There were quite a few rooms inside the ship. In her room, Vivi tried to sleep, but while her body was tired, her mind didn't rest.

She was a little girl, living the life of a pampered princess. But that didn't mean she was that oblivious.

Something was going on behind her back. She had a guess… but her pure heart didn't want her to think about it. Nefertari Vivi was forcing herself to believe that everything was all right.

'But now, more girls are starting to fizzle around him.'

Hashirama loved her. Vivi was sure of that. However, with so many new girls around him, who were both so pretty and competent, she felt like that may change.

Robin was an elegant woman, and while she didn't see Hashirama in a romantic light, Mikita did. That girl had admitted to Vivi's face and was fighting her for Hashirama. And unlike Robin, Mikita was not dignified — she might just seduce him any day.

That, and now there was another girl in the crew. Vivi got to know Nami better in the last two days and noticed that the girl didn't really have the best opinion of Vivi. Vivi didn't hate her, she wasn't like that, but she did feel bad. When she noted how Nami started caring for Hashirama after the tattoo incident this evening, she felt a clench in her heart when he didn't shy away from her attempts.

Hashirama Senju was a bastard, he kidnapped her half an hour after saying "Love you too". So what were the odds that he wouldn't sleep with one of those two vixens?

'Yeah, shithead.'

She was aware of how she pushed him away. Whenever he tried to advance toward her, she got too embarrassed and pushed him back. The factor that he had kidnapped her also worked behind that. Her pride didn't allow her to let him advance at her as of yet.

But,

As things were…

Vivi felt someone else might allow his advances, and she might lose him forever.

Unless it hadn't happened already.

No matter how much she tried, Vivi Nefertari couldn't sleep.

….

Hashirama had a weird habit. While most would fall asleep after a fun day filled with activity, he would find it harder to sleep in that state.

Since sleep didn't exactly bother him that much, he decided to skip it. He watched the stars for… how long? He wasn't even sure. He just basked in the feeling of fun he had today, which was incomparable to any of his visits to the amusement park.

Well, the few times he went to those amusement parks in his last life, were mostly to kill some children. It would have been weirder if he found that fun after experiencing a better life.

"Haah…"

"Hashirama?"

He was drowning in the memories of melancholy, his smile gone and his eyes lightless when Vivi's soft voice called from the side. He blinked as his green pupils regained their light.

"Ah, hey, princess. Not asleep yet?"

He pushed himself to sit up against the border of the deck and yawned a little.

"No… I tried, but can't sleep."

Vivi said gently. She looked to the side, and then regained the courage to look into his eyes. Her violent blue eyes looked into his dim green ones, as the two stared at one another soundlessly for a minute.

"Come over."

Hashirama broke the silence and raised his arms at her. Vivi blinked and frowned at that gesture as if she was saying she was no little girl.

Hashirama chuckled and patted the spot beside him, instead.

"Here works too."

Vivi sighed and walked over, sitting down near him. She looked a little out of place, but Hashirama wrapped an arm around her and pulled her to his comfort zone.

"Stop being so distant. Haven't we come beyond that?"

"Mmm…"

Vivi blushed but said nothing. Her head rested on his shoulder while his right hand was around her waist. She wore a black shirt, short enough that it left her midriff open, so his hand felt her cold belly and squeezed it gently.

"Ehrm… D-don't do that…?"

Her tone was questioning, not a plea or order. She wasn't sure if she wanted him to stop.

Hashirama grabbed her by the waist and yanked her over to him. He put her between his lips, putting her back against his chest, as he leaned down on her neck and kissed it.

Vivi moaned. She instinctively tried to resist, but then his fingers lovingly intertwined with her. She gripped his hand rightly, as did he while kissing her nape and sucking on her fragrant skin.

Vivi was drunk, her inner urges were winning over her usual stubbornness.

"H-hey… no… wait…"

Vivi breathed heavily as his hands wrapped around her abdomen, and the feeling of extra softness invaded his touch.

One of his hands lifted towards her face and turned her chin backward. Her eyes were hazy and her lips were glossy, as he leaned over and took them to his mouth. His teeth bit on her lower lip, and she whimpered like a chicken caught in a trap.

Vivi didn't resist this time when he kissed her lovingly, filling her heart with a strange feeling of ecstasy. Being held in the arms of the person she could die for, as he was being affectionate like this, it was hard for her to just control herself.

"Ah… goddammit."

Then something surprising happened. To Hashirama's surprise, Vivi turned around on his lap and then slammed him on the floor, on his back.

The tide of the movements suddenly took a 180° turn, and Vivi leaned over to kiss him like a savage.

Hashirama's wide eyes revealed his pleasant surprise, indicating how he didn't hate it.
