Medical Assistance
Outside the village gates, Milo kept watch, both over the knight and the trail from the woods. As they waited and watched, Milo soon saw Lilith emerge from the woods, carrying something.
When she got close enough, Milo realized two things- the first being that nobody else was with her. The second was that the thing she was carrying was a goblin.
Preparing himself for quite the conversation, Milo called out to the priestess.
“Where are the others? What happened at the camp?”
“It’s a long story,” Lilith replied. “For now, I’m low on magic, and this goblin needs medical attention. If I can get inside, I’ll explain in a bit. “
At this, the knight- Pender or whatever- interjected. “This whole thing was about getting rid of the goblins. Why are you bringing one here?”
“I am asking the questions,” Milo countered. “That being said, Lilith, is there any way this long story could be- truncated?”
“The absolute shortest version is that a wyrm appeared and all the goblins died. This one survived, and I think that figuring out what that’s about would be a good idea.”
“A wyrm?” While it was Pender who spoke, Milo was surprised as well.
“Yeah- and I had used all my magic on healing people. If not for Kass, I’m not sure we would’ve made it out of there.”
“If all the goblins died, why are you carrying this one?” Milo asked.
“Well, not all all. After taking down the wyrm, we did a check to see if any of the goblins were left alive- Kass found her with most of her blood drained, same as all the other goblins, but she was still alive. I went and got her to bring her back here and see if we could keep her that way, and later ask her questions to figure out what was going on with the wyrm.”
“Alright. Do you know when everyone else should be returning?”
“No, I left before they did, and I can’t contact Kass from this distance. I wasn’t moving too fast, though, so it shouldn’t be too long.”
“Alright, you keep an eye on the goblin, and once they’re healthy enough, figure out what you can so we can discuss it.”
“Got it.” And with that, Lilith brought Gorse inside the village gates.

Soon enough, Lilith reached home- luckily not running into anyone else on her way- and went inside to meet Amelia.
“So, this is the goblin?”
“Yup. Did your sister get back alright?”
“Yeah, she’s sleeping in her room- the one you used.”
“Alright. Do we still have any milk? I want to test its healing capabilities before I try and use [Healing Touch].”
“I got some more a while back- there should be plenty.”
“Nice. I’ll set up Gorse on Kass’s bed, if you could get some milk.”
“Sure.”
“Thanks.” Carrying Gorse into Kass’s room, Lilith for the first time realized just how small the goblin was- even being a little shorter than most of the other goblins, from Lilith’s recollection.
She was only around three feet, her head just around Lilith’s waist- A fact that Lilith hoped to take advantage of later.
Wait, not the time. Is my SP getting high or something?
Quickly- albeit carefully- laying Gorse down on the bed, Lilith opened her menu to check.

Knew it. It’s not still completely full, but I should probably do something about this.
“I’ve got a cup of milk here,” Amelia said.
“Thanks.” Taking the cup from her hands, Lilith positioned Gorse’s head and slowly fed her the milk. “For now, let’s let her rest; My SP’s been… getting full, and I was wondering if you could help me with that.”
“Sure thing. Before that, though- when I was over at Julia’s, something weird happened. One of the screens mentioned a ‘system update’- did you get that?”
“No, I didn’t. Do you remember if it said anything else?”
“It said that it updated my [Lactation] and [Suppress Lactation] skills.”
“Do you know what changed?”
“Yeah. Previously, I’d just leak milk constantly unless I used [Suppress Lactation]. Now, I still produce milk, but it only comes out through stimulation- or if too much builds up. [Suppress Lactation] turned into a passive ability that increases how long I can go without milking.”
“Nice. Does it require specifically nipple stimulation, or does anything work?”
“Not sure.”
“Wanna find out?”
