Chapter 412. Cruel Punishment I
Seven Sins System Chapter 412. Cruel Punishment I
I sighed. My expectations had been lofty, perhaps unrealistically so.
"Right, just tell me if you know or remember anything," I relented at last.
She exhaled deeply. "Okay," she replied simply.
Shifting my focus back to the mortal before me, I resumed my interrogation. "Now where are we?" I demanded, my words laced with malice.
The desire to inflict pain and extract every ounce of energy and Mana from him coursed through me, though I knew I couldn't act on it – not directly, at least.
"Oh right, I don't need you anymore so I'm going to throw you away," I continued, punctuating my sadistic intentions with a twisted chuckle.
The shaking Kraken glanced at Puriel, his eyes pleading for salvation. But Puriel seemed oblivious to his silent plea. She simply massaged her temples in frustration.
Ignoring the kraken's desperate gaze, she let out another long exhale, her breath a weary sigh.
With a heavy heart, she averted her eyes.
"I will treat the women," she declared, her voice tinged with resignation.
I turned my attention back to the kraken. "Okay, it's just you and me then," I declared.
With a swift movement, one of my tentacles snatched the dark crystal from his trembling grasp, the crystalline shard pulsating with malevolent energy.
With a grimace of anticipation, I brought the dark crystal to my tentacle's lips, the mouth opening wide as if to devour the essence contained within. With a single gulp, the crystal disappeared into the abyss of my being, its energy merging seamlessly with my own.
A shiver of exhilaration coursed through me as the power of the dark crystal surged through my veins, invigorating me with newfound strength.

[Level up!]
[You are now level 153!]
"Nice," I grinned, excitement bubbling up within me. "I just found out this pathetic crystal can give me power," I exclaimed.
‘Greed.’
One of my tentacles wriggled free from my back. It slithered and twisted on the ground before transforming into a fearsome dark wolf monster. The transformation was swift and seamless, its form emanating a palpable aura of darkness and menace.
With a snap of my fingers, I commanded the dark wolf to prowl around, its keen senses honed in on the dark crystals scattered around the room. Its eyes glinted with an eerie glow as it darted from one spot to another, its movements fluid and predatory.
The dark wolf prowled, sniffing out the dark crystals hidden within the folds of the cultists' robes.
With each crystal it found, it pounced with lightning speed, snatching them up in its jaws before consuming them whole.
With each crystal consumed, I could feel a surge of power coursing through my veins.
Meanwhile, the cultists recoiled in fear and confusion as they witnessed the spectacle unfolding before them. Some attempted to flee, but my dark wolf was relentless in its pursuit, ensuring that no crystal went unnoticed or unclaimed.
With a flick of my finger, I summoned forth the power of my Portal skill, opening a swirling vortex of darkness that stretched into the depths of my realm.
[You have opened the portal!]
Without hesitation, I stepped forward and disappeared into the portal. The kraken, still ensnared within the grasp of my tentacles and ensnared by my Blood Curse, followed closely behind.
A happy whistle escaped my lips. A sadistic thrill coursing through my veins.
For the kraken, this was only the beginning of its torment. I had yet to decide upon its fate, but one thing was certain... its punishment would be swift and merciless.
Once I emerged from the swirling darkness of the portal, I found myself in the shadow realm's portal room. The cold, damp air clung to my skin as I stepped forward, the sound of my footsteps echoing ominously against the stone floor.
A twisted smile curled upon my lips. I turned to face the trembling Kraken ensnared within my grasp.
"How should I punish you?" I murmured, relishing in the fear that danced within his eyes. "Where should I take you? How should I tear your flesh? How should I crush your bones?"
The kraken's heart raced within his chest, his breaths coming in shallow gasps. It was a delicious sensation, watching the once-proud creature cower before me, stripped of his arrogance and bravado.
But I wasn't finished yet. With a gleam of sadistic delight in my eyes, I revealed my ultimate plan for his torment.
"Ah, I know," I exclaimed gleefully, my voice dripping with malice. "Since you can't die yet and I can't kill you, I'll simply drain every last ounce of energy and life from your wretched body. You will become nothing more than a puppet, a slave to my will for all eternity!"
