Chapter 391. Sweet Scent
Seven Sins System Chapter 391. Sweet Scent
Unexpectedly, Puriel surprised me by maintaining her composure throughout the journey. Despite the uncomfortable position we were in, she didn't unleash her wrath as I half-expected her to.
Part of me wanted to commend her for her restraint, to offer a simple "good girl" as a token of acknowledgment. But I thought better of it, opting to keep my thoughts to myself.
But then, another sensation caught my attention. A subtle yet distinct aroma filled the air, momentarily distracting me from the awkwardness. It was a scent unlike any I had encountered before.
‘Hmm, what's that smell?’ I muttered internally to myself. It wasn't the usual scent of fast food wrappers or the lingering aroma of stale air. No, this scent was different, somehow familiar yet entirely new at the same time.
Was it some exotic perfume? A flower?
The sweet scent filled the air, making the small space in the van feel a little less cramped. It was like nothing I’d ever smelled before—this perfect mix of sweetness and something else, something hard to put into words. I took a deep breath, letting the smell pull me in.
At first, I thought the scent was just the usual succubus's charm—something sexy, teasing, and full of promise. But this was different. It didn’t have that obvious sexual vibe; instead, it was this soft, sweet smell that somehow kept me hooked.
It felt like being tempted by a forbidden fruit, something that promised both pleasure and trouble. But even with how strong the pull was, I couldn’t shake the weird feeling it gave me. There was something off about it, something I couldn’t quite place—like it was hiding something, some kind of secret I wasn’t supposed to know.
My thoughts turned to Puriel.
Could it be coming from her?
It seemed unlikely, given that I had spent the past three days by her side without ever encountering this fragrance.
‘Am I hallucinating?’ I wondered to myself. But before I could dwell on the thought for too long, one of the kidnappers voiced the same question.
"Do you guys smell that?" he asked, his brow furrowed in confusion. He sniffed the air, searching for the source.
His words drew the others' attention, and soon the van was filled with a chorus of sniffing and speculation.
"Yeah, I smell it too," chimed in another kidnapper. "What is that smell? It's like... perfume or something."
The others nodded in agreement, their noses twitching as they tried to pinpoint the origin.
'Oh, so I'm not hallucinating,' I thought.
"This doesn't smell like food," remarked one of the kidnappers.
"It's like... flowers or something," suggested another.
I couldn't help but agree with their assessments. The scent was unlike anything I had ever encountered before.
"Is this the woman's perfume?" one of the kidnappers queried, his gaze fixed on Puriel.
“I don't think so," another responded, shaking his head in confusion. "We caught her three days ago, and she definitely didn't smell like this when we grabbed her."
"Then where did this come from?" he mused aloud.
‘Yes! Where did this come from? Investigate it for me!’ I urged internally. I couldn't help but wonder about its source, especially given its sweet and alluring nature.
Peeking through the gaps in my half-closed eyes, I scanned the cramped confines of the van, searching for any clues. It felt like it should be close by, but I couldn't pinpoint its origin.
Then, as if by some stroke of luck—or perhaps misfortune—I noticed a faint wet mark on Puriel's clothing, right at her crotch. My eyes widened in surprise.
She was wet!
Was she... turned on?
But then, a thought started nagging at me. Could the goddess of chastity actually feel something like that? After all, arousal was tied to lust, and Puriel was all about purity and virtue. It just didn’t seem to fit, like she couldn’t really be giving in to those kinds of desires.
Was there something more to the weird smell and Puriel’s reaction? Or was it just my mind messing with me, playing tricks in the tight space of the van?
