As they walked, Horyu's System interface suddenly chimed. A notification popped up: [Congratulations for graduating. Academy Student (Passive) removed. Genin of Konoha added.]
Curious, Horyu checked the new title:
[New Title Acquired: "Genin of Konoha" (Passive)
Description: The "Genin of Konoha" title is awarded to Horyu upon successfully graduating from the Ninja Academy. This passive title signifies his official status as a Genin, a junior ninja, in the Hidden Leaf Village.

"Hmm, seems fitting," Horyu mused to himself, content with the title's benefits. Hinata glanced at him, her eyebrows raised in question.
"Just thinking about the future," he replied, his gaze forward.
After bidding Hinata goodbye, Horyu walked home, his thoughts swirling with the possibilities of his new Genin status. "Training Ground 8," he pondered aloud. "That’s Kurenai Yuhi’s team in the original series. If I’m with her, then Hinata is likely to be on my team too. Preferably Shino over Kiba. Can't stand that guy."
He chuckled to himself, picturing Kiba's reaction to being on Team 7 with Sasuke and Sakura. "That'll be an interesting dynamic," he mused. "Kakashi deserted the village with Obito and Rin, so who will be their Jonin Sensei?"The absence of Kakashi in their village left the question of who would lead Team 7 hanging in the air.
"All will be cleared tomorrow," Horyu said to himself, a hint of anticipation in his voice. He had always been one to enjoy the unknown, the thrill of unraveling the mysteries that lay ahead.
Arriving home, he quickly ate, his mind still occupied with thoughts of the future. But there was one task he had been postponing for too long - improving his hand seal speed. It was a crucial skill for a shinobi, especially for someone with his ambitions.
Sitting down in his usual training spot, Horyu opened the System Interface. "Let’s see what I can do about these hand seals," he muttered, his eyes scanning the skill options. "It's about time I created something new."
He could create skills through repetition. So, he just folded seals over and over again, his hands moving with a mechanical precision that seemed almost unnatural. After hours of relentless practice, the System chimed in with a prompt:
[System Message: New Skill Acquired - "Hand Seal Mastery (Level 1)"]
The description read: "This skill increases the speed and accuracy of hand seal formation, enhancing the efficiency of jutsu execution."
Horyu nodded in approval, feeling the improvement in his hand seal speed. "Time to level this up," he muttered, resuming his practice with renewed vigor.
As he continued, the System kept updating him with his progress:
[System Notification: "Hand Seal Mastery" has leveled up to Level 2. Hand seal speed increased by 10%.]
Horyu didn't stop. He kept going, his hands a blur, the seals forming faster and more fluidly with each repetition.
[System Notification: "Hand Seal Mastery" has leveled up to Level 3. Hand seal speed increased by 15%.]
He chuckled, his mind already racing with the possibilities this new skill would unlock. "Faster seals, faster jutsu. This will give me an edge."
His thoughts were interrupted by another System prompt, this one unexpected:
[System Notification: Congratulations! You have achieved the top rank in your graduating class. Your academic and practical prowess have been recognized. As valedictorian, you will receive special recognition and rewards.]
"Sasuke must have performed worse than I," Horyu chuckled, a hint of smugness in his tone. He knew he was good, but to outperform everyone, including Sasuke, was an achievement in itself.
He opened the System to view the quest and its rewards:
[System Notification: Quest "Shinobi Scholar Supremacy" Completed!]
Objective: Surpass all peers in the Ninja Academy by demonstrating exceptional skills in the written exam and mastery in the three core jutsu.
Tasks:
Scholarly Perfection: Achieve the highest score in the Ninja Academy’s written exam, showcasing in-depth knowledge and strategic thinking.
Jutsu Triumvirate Mastery: Excel in the practical demonstration of the Academy's three core jutsu and become best in your grade.
Rewards;
"Strategist's Scroll": Upon reading this ancient scroll, Horyu receives the title "Master Strategist," which significantly enhances his strategic thinking and analytical abilities. This title permanently adds +10 points to his Intelligence stat, reflecting a profound improvement in his cognitive skills, especially in strategy and tactics.
"Master's Mantle": A unique cloak that aligns with Horyu's chakra, boosting the effectiveness of his most proficient jutsu type, whether it be Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Taijutsu.
Access to "The Hidden Library" in the System: This digital library within the System Interface allows Horyu to enter a virtual space where he can browse and learn a jutsu of his choice. This library contains rare and powerful techniques not commonly found in the physical world.
"Shinobi Shadow Pet": A shadow creature that aids Horyu in intelligence gathering, stealth operations, and can transform into a weapon or shield during battles, providing versatile support in various situations.
"Illusionary Realm Pass": This item creates a temporal bubble where time in the real world is frozen. Horyu can spend up to 7 days training inside this illusionary realm, with only a second passing in reality. This allows for intensive training and skill development without losing any real-world time.]
Horyu whistled softly, his eyes scanning the rewards listed on his System interface. He hadn't paid much attention when he first took the quest, but now that he read through them, he was thoroughly impressed. Each reward seemed tailored to enhance his journey as a shinobi in unique ways.
First, there was the "Strategist's Scroll." Horyu contemplated its potential, visualizing the tactical advantages it could offer. "This could significantly boost my planning and strategy in battles and missions," he mused, already considering various scenarios where enhanced strategic thinking would be pivotal.
Next, he examined the "Master's Mantle." The description suggested it would align with his chakra, enhancing his most proficient jutsu type. "A cloak that grows with me," he thought, intrigued by the idea of a garment that could evolve in tandem with his skills.
The "Hidden Library" access was particularly enticing. A virtual space filled with rare and powerful jutsu was an invaluable resource. "This will be my secret weapon, a reservoir of knowledge to tap into when needed," he planned, deciding to explore it at a more opportune time.
The "Shinobi Shadow Pet" piqued his curiosity. A versatile companion for intelligence, stealth, and combat could be a game-changer. He imagined the strategic applications of such a creature, already formulating plans on how best to utilize it.
Lastly, the "Illusionary Realm Pass" was a gem. The ability to train for days within a second of real-world time was an incredible advantage. "I'll save this for critical training moments," he decided, recognizing the immense potential of focused, intensive training without the constraints of time.
Without hesitation, Horyu took out the "Strategist's Scroll" and activated it. A surge of knowledge and insight flowed into his mind, expanding his cognitive abilities.
[System Notification:
Title Acquired: "Master Strategist" (Passive)
Intelligence Stat increased by +10 points.
Enhanced strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
Improved planning and foresight in combat and mission scenarios.]
"An immediate boost to intelligence. That will come in handy," Horyu noted, feeling a subtle but significant sharpening of his mind.
Deciding to delve into the remaining rewards, Horyu focused on summoning the "Shinobi Shadow Pet." He envisioned the creature, curious about its form and capabilities.
A swirl of shadows coalesced before him, gradually taking the shape of a sleek, black cat with piercing green eyes. The cat, ethereal and graceful, sat before him, its tail swishing softly.
"Well, aren't you a sight?" Horyu remarked, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Let's see what you can do."
