The crowd gasped and cheered at the intense exchange. It was clear that Horyu was no longer the underdog they had perceived him to be. He had risen to meet Sasuke head-on, challenging the preconceived notions of his strength and skill.
Sasuke, now more cautious, studied Horyu's movements, looking for a pattern or weakness. Horyu, aware of Sasuke's analytical mind, kept his tactics unpredictable.
They engaged again, their movements a complex dance of attack and defense. Sasuke’s style was aggressive, seeking to overpower Horyu with brute force. Horyu, on the other hand, relied on his agility and strategic thinking, using his skills to create openings in Sasuke’s defenses.
Sasuke unleashed a series of rapid punches, each aimed with precision. Horyu, using his Swift Evasion, dodged nimbly, countering with a series of quick jabs. Sasuke blocked them, but the force behind Horyu's strikes was evident.
As the battle wore on, Sasuke’s frustration grew. Horyu’s resilience and skill were unlike anything he had expected. He had underestimated Horyu, and now he was paying the price.
In a desperate move, Sasuke aimed a high kick at Horyu’s head. Horyu ducked, sweeping Sasuke’s legs from under him. Sasuke hit the ground hard but rolled away, narrowly avoiding Horyu’s follow-up attack.
The two stood, facing each other, breathing heavily. The intensity of their battle was evident in their stance and expressions.
With a burst of speed, Horyu charged at Sasuke. Sasuke met him head-on, and they clashed in a final, explosive exchange. Punches and kicks flew, each strike carrying the weight of their rivalry and determination.
In a swift movement, Horyu feinted a punch and instead landed a solid kick to Sasuke’s side. Sasuke grunted, feeling the impact but quickly recovered, countering with a powerful uppercut.
Horyu, anticipating this, leaned back, barely avoiding the strike. He then spun around, delivering a roundhouse kick that caught Sasuke off-guard. Sasuke stumbled back, his balance thrown off.
Seizing the opportunity, Horyu moved in, unleashing a flurry of precise, rapid strikes. Sasuke, struggling to defend, found himself being pushed back.
In a final effort, Horyu executed a well-timed 'Crushing Blow', targeting Sasuke’s chest. Sasuke, caught by surprise, was unable to block in time.
As the fist was about to hit, suddenly, a red flash in Sasuke's eyes, and a smirk on his face, drew Horyu's attention. 'Fuck. He awakened Sharingan.' Horyu thought, but it was too late. With his new ocular powers, Sasuke swiftly intercepted Horyu's attack and kicked him away. A single tomoe swimming in his red eyes. Horyu, holding his side, looked at Sasuke. With Sharingan, it was much more difficult to win.
Horyu swiftly opened his System interface. His fingers flew over the screen, navigating to the Upgrade and Merge tab. He had accumulated 140 Ability Points (AP) from his recent victories - 20 from Kiba, 30 from Choji, 40 from Shikamaru, and 50 from Shino. Desperate times called for desperate measures. He couldn’t afford to save his points now; he needed an edge against Sasuke.
As he battled, Horyu's mind raced, simultaneously checking different combinations. Sasuke, and others watching, realized Horyu's focus was divided, but they couldn’t fathom why.
Horyu first considered merging his 'Precision Master' and 'Unpredictable Assault' skills. The success rate was high, but the cost was steep at 70 AP. The merged skill promised enhanced accuracy with unpredictable movements, perfect for countering Sasuke's Sharingan. But he hesitated, the loss of these individual skills could be a disadvantage in the long run.
Next, he looked at combining 'Shadow Walker' with 'Lightning Reflex'. This blend would grant him exceptional evasion and stealth, but the success rate was a risky 60%, and it would cost him 50 AP.
“Focus, Horyu,” he muttered to himself, evading another of Sasuke's strikes, feeling the heat of the battle.
Realizing he needed something more impactful, Horyu contemplated a bold move. He eyed the combination of 'Crushing Blow' with 'Blade Dancer', a potential game-changer. The success rate was a gamble at 50%, with a cost of 80 AP. This combination could give him a powerful, decisive strike, but failure would leave him vulnerable.
Horyu grimaced as he stood in the arena, his mind racing with strategies. He didn't even have a blade, so merging 'Crushing Blow' with 'Blade Dancer' didn't make sense. Instead, he focused on two other skill mergings that could turn the tide in this intense battle against Sasuke.
First, he decided to merge 'Shadow Walker' with 'Uchiha Stealth Technique', enhancing his stealth capabilities by combining silent movement with perception manipulation. The cost was high due to the advanced and complementary nature of both skills, but the success rate was favorable. It cost him 60 Ability Points (AP), and the success rate was a promising 80%. The new skill, which he named 'Ghost Mirage', allowed him to move undetected, blurring into shadows while subtly altering his opponents' perception to make himself nearly invisible.
Next, he chose the daring combination of 'Crushing Blow' and 'Unpredictable Assault'. This merging was more challenging due to the contrasting nature of precision and unpredictability. The cost was steep at 80 AP, and the success rate was moderate at 60%. But Horyu took the risk. The successful merging birthed a new skill he called 'Chaos Strike', a devastating blend of power and unpredictability. It enabled him to deliver powerful, incapacitating strikes in a manner that was difficult for opponents, even those with Sharingan, to anticipate or counter.
Rejuvenated with his new arsenal, Horyu faced Sasuke, who was now more cautious, his Sharingan active and analyzing every move.
Sasuke lunged forward, his attacks a blur of speed and precision. Horyu, using 'Ghost Mirage', slipped into the shadows of the tree and academy building that was on the stage, his movements a whisper. Sasuke's eyes widened slightly, struggling to track his opponent.
Horyu was already elsewhere, his 'Chaos Strike' ready. He emerged from behind Sasuke, his strike aimed at a vital point. Sasuke spun, barely deflecting the blow, his eyes narrowing in surprise and respect.
The crowd was on the edge of their seats, the battle far surpassing their expectations. Horyu, once seen as the underdog, was now a worthy adversary to Sasuke, one of the most talented Uchiha of his generation.
They clashed again, Horyu's unpredictable movements clashing with Sasuke's precise counters. Sasuke's Sharingan followed Horyu's movements, but the 'Ghost Mirage' made it difficult to predict his exact location.
Horyu feinted a move to the left, then used 'Chaos Strike' to the right, catching Sasuke off guard. The blow landed, but Sasuke's reflexes allowed him to minimize the impact. Still, he staggered back, a flash of pain crossing his features.
Horyu charged forward, his eyes ablaze with determination. The arena, once filled with whispers of doubt, now echoed with the sound of an intense battle between two formidable Uchiha. Sasuke, recovering from the initial shock of Horyu's 'Chaos Strike', readied himself, the Sharingan spinning in his eyes.
"You think you can beat me with those tricks?" Sasuke taunted, his voice laced with arrogance.
As Sasuke lashed out with precision and speed, Horyu subtly activated his 'Uchiha Crusher' title, feeling a surge of confidence. The skill was a silent ally, subtly reducing the impact of Sasuke's Uchiha techniques.
Utilizing the 'Ghost Mirage' skill, Horyu expertly evaded Sasuke's attacks. "Stop running and fight?" Sasuke growled, scanning the arena. His Sharingan sought to track Horyu, but the 'Uchiha Crusher' subtly dampened Sasuke's offensive edge, making Horyu's movements almost ethereal.
"Right here," Horyu whispered, materializing next to Sasuke. He unleashed a 'Chaos Strike', nearly hitting Sasuke's vital points. Sasuke spun, avoiding a direct hit, but staggered, slightly weakened by the 'Uchiha Crusher's influence.
Horyu relentlessly continued, each chakra-infused strike a testament to his training. Sasuke, now respecting Horyu's prowess, fought back fiercely. The 'Uchiha Crusher' title subtly worked in Horyu's favor, making each of Sasuke's counterattacks slightly less effective.
Sasuke managed a solid punch, briefly catching Horyu off guard. Horyu, wiping blood from his lip, acknowledged Sasuke's strength, the title having subtly cushioned the blow.
Preparing to end the duel, Horyu activated 'Chaos Strike' again. Sasuke, with his Sharingan following his fist, attempted a dodge, but Horyu anticipated and redirected his attack, hitting Sasuke's side.
Gasping, Sasuke tried to recover, but Horyu delivered a final kick, sending him to the ground. The arena erupted into cheers as Iruka announced, "The winner is Horyu Uchiha!"
As Horyu stood victorious, he felt the effects of 'Uchiha Crusher' title fade, its job done, having subtly tipped the scales in his favor throughout the duel.
