As the crowd dispersed, Horyu approached Hinata. Her breathing was still heavy from the exertion, but her eyes sparkled with a victorious gleam he had never seen before. "Hinata," he began, his voice low, "that was... more than I expected. Your Byakugan, it seemed different."
Hinata nodded, a mix of excitement and awe in her voice. "Yes, I felt it too. It was like seeing the world in a new light. I could anticipate Miho's moves before she even made them."
Intrigued, Horyu activated his 'Observe' skill on Hinata. The system chimed, and a detailed message appeared:
[System Message: Hinata Hyuga - Level: 5, Strength: 4, Agility: 5, Stamina: 4, Byakugan: Ancestral Sight Awakening (Level 1)
Enhancement Detail: Ancestral Sight Awakening
Description: The potion triggered the awakening of an ancient and rare gene within Hinata's Hyuga lineage. This gene, known as "Ancestral Sight," dates back to the early days of the Hyuga clan, where select ancestors possessed an advanced form of Byakugan with heightened abilities due to undiluted Byakugan lineage.
Effect on Byakugan: Hinata's Byakugan, once activated post-potion, now exhibits a distinctively more intense lavender hue. Its abilities are significantly amplified, offering a greater range of vision and a deeper level of insight into chakra points. The enhanced Byakugan allows Hinata to not only see chakra networks with more detail but also perceive subtle fluctuations in an opponent's chakra, giving her a predictive edge in combat.
Impact on Hinata's Character: This awakening stirs a sense of ancestral pride and ferocity in Hinata. She feels more connected to her Hyuga roots and the powerful forebears who wielded this rare ability. This connection emboldens her, granting her a newfound ferocity and confidence in battle, aligning with her less shy and more assertive character development.]
"The fuck?" Horyu muttered under his breath, his eyes widening. The potion had triggered an ancestral awakening in Hinata's Byakugan, enhancing it far beyond its normal capabilities. 'Ancestral Sight Awakening', a rare gene from the early Hyuga lineage, it seemed to have not only increased her Byakugan's range and insight but also her combat instincts.
Hinata looked at Horyu, a hint of concern in her eyes. "Is everything okay, Horyu?"
Horyu waved his hand dismissively, masking his inner turmoil with a casual air. "Yeah, everything is fine," he lied smoothly. The revelation about Hinata's Byakugan was significant, but he had no intention of sharing it with her. After all, it was a good thing for Hinata.
As they walked together towards the Hyuga compound, Hinata's voice broke through his thoughts. "I talked with my father. He said it's okay if you come."
Horyu nodded, his mind still racing with the implications of Hinata's enhanced abilities. "Good. Training at the Hyuga compound will be... interesting," he replied, his tone laced with a hint of sarcasm. The prospect of entering the heart of another prestigious clan's territory wasn't lost on him.
They walked in silence for a while, each lost in their thoughts. The streets of Konoha were bustling with activity, but Horyu barely noticed. His mind was already strategizing the upcoming training session, considering how best to utilize Hinata's newfound abilities.
As they approached the Hyuga compound, Horyu couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. Training here, in the domain of a clan as renowned as the Hyuga, was an opportunity he couldn't overlook.
The compound's gates opened for them, and they were greeted by a stern-looking elder. Hinata quickly explained their purpose, and the elder, though skeptical, allowed them entry.
As Horyu and Hinata arrived at the private training field within the Hyuga compound, they were greeted by the sight of a young girl deeply engrossed in her training. Her movements were fluid and precise, betraying a level of skill that was impressive for her age.
"She is good," Horyu observed quietly, his eyes analyzing the girl's form and technique. He engaged his 'Observe' skill, keen to understand more about this young Hyuga prodigy.
[System Message: Hanabi Hyuga - Level: 6, Strength: 6, Agility: 6, Stamina: 5. A prodigious talent in taijutsu and Byakugan techniques, showing exceptional promise for her age.]
Horyu raised an eyebrow, slightly impressed. Hanabi, despite being a year younger than Hinata, already surpassed her sister in terms of raw skill and ability. 'A formidable little one,' he thought.
Hinata approached her sister, who paused her training upon noticing them. "Hanabi, this is Horyu Uchiha. He's going to help me with training."
Hanabi sized up Horyu with a critical eye before offering a small nod of acknowledgement. "Can I stay and watch? Maybe learn something too?" she asked, her tone curious yet assertive.
Horyu considered the request. Training with both Hyuga sisters could prove beneficial, offering different perspectives and challenges. "Sure," he replied, his voice betraying no hint of the surprise he felt at Hanabi's advanced skills. "The more, the merrier."
As Hanabi settled down to observe, Horyu opened Hinata's quest log in his mind, pondering how best to proceed with the training. The 'Mentor of the Meek' quest had several objectives, and now with Hanabi's presence, he had to adjust his approach.
"Alright, Hinata," Horyu began, turning to face her. "Your Byakugan is already... strong enough. Now, we focus on integrating that into your taijutsu. We'll start with basic maneuvers and gradually increase the complexity."
Hinata nodded, her eyes focused and determined. "I want to work on using my Byakugan more aggressively in combat. I usually hold back, but after today, I feel like I can do more."
Horyu smirked slightly. "Good. That hesitation was always your biggest weakness. Now, we'll work on turning your Byakugan into a weapon, not just a tool for defense."
He then turned to Hanabi. "You're welcome to join in. It'll be a good opportunity for you to refine your skills too."
Hanabi's eyes lit up with excitement. "I won't hold back," she declared, a competitive spark in her gaze.
"Let's start with some basic drills," Horyu said, adopting a more serious tone. "Hinata, you first. Show me your gentle fist technique. Focus on precision and speed."
Hinata took a deep breath and began, her strikes aimed at an imaginary opponent. Horyu watched closely, offering occasional pointers. "Faster, more force," he instructed, pushing her to her limits.
Hanabi watched her sister intently, absorbing every detail of Horyu's instruction. After a while, Horyu turned to her. "Your turn, Hanabi. Let's see how you compare."
Hanabi stepped forward, her movements confident and sharp. As she demonstrated her version of the gentle fist, Horyu couldn't help but be impressed. Despite her young age, her control and precision were remarkable.
"Very good, Hanabi," Horyu acknowledged. "Now, both of you together. I want to see how you adapt and react to each other's movements."
The sisters faced each other, and the training began in earnest. Horyu observed their sparring, noting the differences in their styles. Hinata's movements were more fluid, while Hanabi's were more aggressive.
"Focus on your chakra flow," Horyu instructed. "Hinata, use your Byakugan to anticipate Hanabi's strikes. Hanabi, try to be less predictable."
The training session continued, the sounds of their strikes echoing through the training field. Horyu's eyes never left the sisters, his mind constantly analyzing and adapting the training to push them both.
