Chapter 87: Class Change
-----
[Congratulations! You have successfully completed the Class Change Trial!]
[Due to your amazing merits in this Trial Dungeon, you’ve been selected to receive the strongest available Class!]
[Your Class has changed to…]
FLASH!
Suddenly, in front of me, an icon resembling half a human and the other half of what seemed like an angel appeared.
-----
[Nephilim: ★]
A being between Humans and Celestials. Due to your incredible affinity with the Holy, Celestial, and Divine, you’ve acquired the necessary requirements to change into this powerful Class, the strongest available 1 Star Class.
Nephilim are capable of harboring the power and mighty magic of Celestials while holding the powerful and immortal soul of a human. Both of these powers, combined, create tremendous synergy. The weakness of Celestials is offset by the human side, while the weaker human side is strengthened by the Celestial’s divinity.
It is often said that Nephilim are the “tainted souls,” however, called like this by pure-blooded Angels who despise half-blooded beings, even if they hold greater potential than them.
This Class will bring several new Abilities and Skills.
Class Effects: Increases Light, Holy, Divine, Celestial, and Fire Magic Damage, Conjuration Speed, and Learning Speed by +100%, and Decreases Mana Consumption by -50%. You can now perform {Miracles}.
-----
[Your class has changed to [Nephilim: ★]!]
[All of your Stats have increased greatly!]
[Your Level Cap has increased to Level 80!]
[Your Level has been reset to Level 0!]
[No Stas have decreased due to the Level Reset.]
[You acquired the [A Being Between Heaven And Earth (A Rank Privilege)]!]
[You learned the [Miracle Magic (A): Lv1] Innate Skill!]
[You learned the [Celestial Body (A): Lv1] Innate Skill!]
[You acquired the [Half-Angel] Title!]
[Your [Physique]: [Twelve Colored Stars Physique (Tier 2: Rank 1)] has been enhanced to Tier 2: Rank 5!]
[All of your Stats have further increased as a result, especially Ki!]
So nice! I have so many power-ups! I feel so refreshed now! In fact- Eh?!
Suddenly, I realized my own appearance had changed; my clear brown hair suddenly became almost blonde. And my skin seemed much paler than before.
To make things more bizarre, I now had a small wing on my left shoulder! Yeah, it even had white feathers, and I was able to move it like a tiny limb—kind of freaky.
But only one wing? Is it because I am only a “half” angel?
I can't even use it to fly, so annoying. I should probably just hide it.
For now, I should check on my new Skills and that Privilege-
[Due to your outstanding performance in this Dungeon Trial, you’ve received a {Bonus Item}!]
Suddenly, a black-colored key fell into the palm of my hand.
[You received the [Secret Dark Dungeon Key (??? Rank)] x1!]
[Using this Key, you can access a unique Hidden Dungeon and acquire a Subclass!]
[A Subclass is similar to a Class, meaning there’s the possibility of having two Classes at the same time!]
[Enter whenever you feel adventurous.]
“So I can acquire a Subclass. I don’t think this happened with my brother’s System…” I smiled. “I guess I do have some advantages over him."
Anyway, time to check on my new Skills and Privilege and-
FLASH!
But before I could even do that, I was spirited away from the place and found myself sitting above my bed. Ah, I guess I just can’t stay there as much as I wanted. Well, that was quite the trial; it was only three hours there, but in here it probably was like half an hour because time goes faster there.
This trial was much more than just beating some nameless monsters and calling it a day, though. I might have just avenged the last Angels in the Celestial Realm by defeating Solomon just now. Ugh, but seriously, wasn’t the trial a bit too hard, throwing me an S Rank Boss? I can imagine the Subclass Hidden Dungeon Trial to be just as horrible.
But at the same time, it might be related to the plot. Solomon wasn’t even talked about in what my previous life read, so this was all new. There might be several more things like this, perspectives and details never expanded upon in the original novel.
And because the timeline is messing itself up more and more, such details and perspectives that were never expanded upon are now becoming the focal point. I have to be more careful from now on and use this power I’ve acquired to tread through this world’s events slowly and carefully.
If I am not cautious enough, there’ll be so many events piled up together that it will only create utter chaos. Yet at the same time, if I want to attain a different, happier ending, I’ll have to keep changing the “plot” as much as I can.
It’s going to be complicated, but thankfully, I do have some support with this. Amazing system, and well, some of my many sponsors.
[The Cosmic Throne {Maiden that Watches Over Nature} is overjoyed to see you have come back safe from wherever you were!]
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} is wondering where you have gone to...]
[She wasn’t able to detect your soul or find you at all.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Drama Loving King of Wine} says that you might have entered a special dungeon located on a Closed Server, hence, the Constellations were unable to find you.]
“Yeah… More or less, I guess…” I sighed, feeling sleepy. “I’ve grown plenty strong, though, so don’t worry about it.”
[The Cosmic Throne {Warrior That Seeks Calamity} is amused by your sudden growth in strength!]
[The Cosmic Throne {Divine Judge of Flames} is shocked! He has found out you’ve become a half-angel! He is overjoyed! He begins saying that he wants to become your Sponsor no matter what now!]
[The other Constellations have begun to talk loudly, realizing this new fact! Many have begun to wonder where you have gone this entire time.]
[Several Constellations that harbor interest in you have sponsored 5000 Plot Points as a way to celebrate your growth and many victories before.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Butterfly That Flies Across the Universe} says that the fight against Astaroth was really cool. Her opinion of you has improved a lot since the first time she saw you…]
[The Cosmic Throne {Monkey that Dances in Chaos} says he never thought such an adorable girl could become such a powerful, honorable, and brave warrior.]
“Wow, even the two assholes have become nicer; how surprising!”
[The Cosmic Throne {Butterfly That Flies Across The Universe} is beginning to regret what she said.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Monkey that Dances in Chaos} glares at you plainly…]
“Hahaha, okay, sorry…” I sighed. “Anyways, go away; I’m going to sleep for now. Unless you guys have gifts to give me, let me sleep.”
I decided to go to sleep, checking on my skills. I would have to wait until tomorrow because I felt so exhausted that my mind was becoming foggy.
Even as I’ve almost completely healed myself, overusing those Demonic Weapon and Armor put a terrible exhaustion on my body and soul, honestly.
Hahh… Snow is right in my bed, and he’s so fluffy, it makes me feel comforted.
Though he’s a bit smelly, I’ll have to bathe him tomorrow.
.
.
.
The next morning, things became chaotic. Once we were enjoying breakfast, I was swarmed by everybody in the house. My brother, Henrietta, Dan Baihe, Annabelle, and Kevin!
“W-What is going on with you today?” Kevin wondered.
“Anna, tell me the truth: did you dye your hair blonde?” My brother wondered.
“I didn’t!” I sighed. “I just happened to awaken some sort of skill; it made... I don’t know, blonde? Just ignore it.”
“I-I can’t just ignore it!” My brother was overexaggerating, as usual.
“Is this… a tiny wing?” Baihe asked, touching my wing.
“Yes.” I sighed. “It is just that—a wing. A lot of crazy stuff has happened in this world since the Awakening, so I don’t think it matters…”
“But it’s cute!” Annabelle said.
“Your presence somehow reminds me of that of Big sis…” Kevin was perplexed. “Were you sponsored by an Archangel?!”
“No, I haven’t been sponsored by any Archangel, geez…” I sighed, chewing on my cereal.
“She probably went through an Awakening while sleeping. It has happened to some people.” Said Henrietta. “Remember when it happened to you, Kevin? From one day to the next, your eye hurt a lot, and it changed color!”
“Right…” Kevin nodded.
“I suppose it could be that.” My brother nodded. “You don’t feel sick or tired, Anna?”
“Nah, I’m 100% full of energy! In fact, I kind of want to go hunt monsters.” I giggled.
“Are you crazy?!” My brother was shocked. “No, all of you need to take a rest. We've had too many battles. That castle can wait.”
“I was just joking! Calm down…” I sighed, as I decided to ignore the bickering of everyone for a bit.
It wasn’t as if I hated them or something; in fact, I love everyone here. Maybe Kevin not so much, but yeah. I… err, appreciate him.
For now, I want to find out what these powers are that I acquired above all.
-----
[Miracle Magic (A): Lv1]
[Skill EXP]: [0/5000]
A Special Skill that only Angels or Half-Angels can learn, it grants the ability to create a variety of Miracles by conjuring the basic elemental affinities these beings possess, such as Light, Divine, and Holy. The higher the level of the Skill, the more Miracle Magic Spells are available.
Level Bonus (1): Enhances Miracle Magic Spells Effects by +10%, Decreases MP Consumption by -5%.
Available Spells:
Level 1: [Revitalizing Miracle]
Level 2: ???
-----
[Celestial Body (A): Lv1]
[Skill EXP]: [0/5000]
As a Half-Angel, your body, not your soul, is like that of a Celestial. You can naturally channel their Divine Powers much more easily than before. And your body's appearance also changes. Your Charm Stat increases exponentially, and your appearance becomes more “Angelic”.
You can also develop and grow powerful wings, which will become stronger the higher your Level and the Level of this Skill and might develop exponential growth based on the “good deeds” you perform.
Based on how big your wings grow, not only will you be able to fly with them indefinitely, but they will also develop powerful feathers and strong muscles and can even harbor magical powers, increasing your strength.
Decreases Damage Taken from Demon and Evil-type beings by -50%, Increases Damage Dealt using Light, Holy, Divine, Celestial, and Fire Elements by +100%. Mana and Ki Regeneration Speed Increases by +100%.
Level Bonus (1): Increases Light, Holy, Divine, Celestial, and Fire Magic Damage, Conjuration Speed, and Learning Speed by +10%, and Decreases Mana Consumption by -5%.
-----
Some rather interesting Skills, the passive effects are nice, and the whole wing thing is complicated and a bit stupid, but I guess I can’t help it, this Class was the strongest after all…
-----
[A Being Between Heaven and Earth (A Rank Privilege)]
Your body is the bridge between Heaven and Earth, a Half-Angel. Unlike Cambion, the Half-Demons, and the mythical Nephalem, Half-Angel, and Half-Demon, you’re an entity that connects heavenly will with the mortal plane. You’re the divine bridge that connects the divine with the mortal; you're a Nephilim.
Grants the Ability to Exert, Learn, and Develop Angelic Powers and Magic of various types, enhancing their effects, learning speeds, and power by +100%.
You can also unleash the power of {Princess of Heaven}, by spending Mana and Ki, which will bring forth a Portal to Heaven, where a random number from 3 to 10 Angelic Spirit Knights will descend to your aid. Their power and Stats will be based on your own Status and accumulated Skills, plus +50% of all their Stats. Duration: 1 Hour. Usages: 2/2 Per Day.
-----
This is an awesome Privilege! Well, it is an A Rank Privilege, so it makes sense... But still, it feels really insane and amazing. I can summon a troop of random Angelic Spirit Knights that are almost as strong as I am for a whole hour, twice a day?! It’s a crazy good bargain!
Though I wonder who exactly these Angelic Spirit Knights are, didn’t they all die? It’s strange.
