Chapter 28: Choosing A Treasure
-----
After the Dungeon of Osiris was figured out, many people entered it and completed its incredibly easy trials. Because of this, the dungeon was designed so every person could only choose a relic before being ejected out of the dungeon and being incapable of entering it ever again.
Of course, by the time my brother entered the novel, all the amazing relics were already taken. Even the one that the Incarnation of Isis had, which made her so amazingly strong. Well, that one amazing relic is mine now. I’m really sorry for taking this away from her, but it can’t be helped.
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} is watching you attentively.]
[She is wondering what sort of amazing relic you will choose.]
“B-By the Gods! So many Divine Relics! They’re mostly all at the same level as Anubis Balance?!” Sepa panicked. “I-I don’t know if my dungeon gives such good rewards… Isis, can I pick something~?”
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} rejects Sepa’s idea, saying that she is not a participant in the Trial.]
“You’re so stingy!”
As Sepa cracked her mandibles in anger, I walked directly toward my objective.
“Hey Anna, where are you going?! Aren’t you going to pick this amazing Golden Coat of Invisibility? Or you could pick the Cane of Anubis, it can help you summon an army of a hundred undead! Or this Osiris Jar, which can produce a Healing Elixir for free! Or this Ring of Rah, that lets you wield fire magic proficiently!” Sepa said. “H-Hey! What are you…?!”
When Sepa got to my side, she was shocked by my choice. It was a very ugly, malformed statue of a bird man. It had a single white eye made of some sort of jewel. But unlike every other item, it was covered in dust and didn’t emanate any divine power.
“I want this.”
I quickly grabbed the statue’s eye—a little and insignificant white jewel.
[Are you sure you want to choose the [Osiris’ Eyeball (B Rank)]?]
“W-Wait a minute, that’s a trash item! It only allows you to see information about people and stuff, but it is not as valuable as-” Sepa muttered.
“Oh, you’ll see how valuable it is.” I smiled back at Sepa. “Yes, I want this, Isis.”
Ding!
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} smiles and nods favorably at your wise decision.]
[You acquired the [Osiris’ Eyeball (B Rank)] x1!]
[You’re now being automatically teleported back to the Hall of Dungeons.]
Once we went back to where we started, I took out the Feather of Truth from my pocket, and with both the Feather and the Eyeball, I utilized Synthesis on both. Yes, this is what I have been waiting for this entire time.
“{Synthesis}!”
A divine power surged from both items as they floated in midair and converged together in a mere second. As they converged together, it was as if both items melted into complete light, converging and spiraling together, generating a delightful show of fireworks.
FLAAASH!
Ding!
[Due to the effects of the [Jester’s Reverse Fortune (S Rank Privilege)], your LUK Stat has been reversed!]
[Due to your incredibly high amount of LUK, the chances of success of this Synthesis have improved from 0.2% to 100%!]
[You have successfully synthesized the [Osiris’ Eyeball (B Rank)] x1 and [Ma’at’s Feather of Truth (??? Rank)] x1 to create the [Ma’at Eye of Truth (SSS Rank)] x1!]
The white jewel suddenly turned into a beautiful golden eye, which flew into my right eye and fused with it. I felt an overflowing power coursing through every inch of my body as a powerful golden aura encompassed me in its divine brilliance.
Ding!
[You can now see through the Truth of all Things!]
[You learned the [Divine Eye of Truth (S): Lv1] Skill!]

“Your eye is glowing gold…” Sepa was shocked. “I can’t believe you even knew how to make the Eye of Truth!” Sepa was surprised.
“It is how it is,” I said with a smirk. “With this, I can finally say I am ready. Now, let’s leave back home.”
“Okay, I’ll open the portal right now…” Sepa nodded.
Ding!
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} is panicking because you’re leaving so soon…]
[She has decided to choose you as her Incarnation!]
[Do you accept?]
“Huh? Incarnation?” I wondered, trying to make myself hard to get. “Hmm… are you well aware of all the other Constellations that want me to be their Incarnation, Isis?”
[Several Constellations are glaring at {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death}…]
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} is sweating bullets…]
[The Cosmic Throne {Butterfly That Flies Across The Universe} says that she shouldn’t try to get involved with the affairs of her future Incarnation.
[The Cosmic Throne {Monkey that Dances in Chaos} threatens {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} to not steal his future Incarnation.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Jester Filled With Lies} laughs mischievously.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Maiden that Watches Over Nature} looks around worried. She doesn’t want anybody to steal you from her.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Warrior That Seeks Calamity} is pleased by the insane fight you had against a Constellation, and threatens {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} to not take away his fun, pointing his sword at her…]
[The Cosmic Throne {Divine Judge of Flames} looks at what’s happening with interest.]
[The Cosmic Throne {Ancient King that Sits On A Throne of Gold} says that he’s richer than {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death}.]
“See? If I become your Incarnation, don’t you think they’ll become your enemies?” I wondered.
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} sighs in defeat…]
“However, if it’s okay with you, we could become allies. I know you want to avenge your husband and beat the Ancient Egypt Gods Faction.” I said it with a smile. “How about… we make a deal?”
[The Cosmic Throne {Lady that Soothes the Souls of the Death} is shocked by how fast you’ve figured out her intentions!]
[She nervously begins to worry about the future and if this is even worth it…]
[However, due to her own panic, she hastily agrees.]
“Good. Hey, you, I know you’re there; come here.”
I talked to the empty air right behind me.
“Huh? Me?” Sepa wondered.
“Not you! That guy over there.” I said. “I know you’re there, Administrator.”
“G-Geh… Amazing, nothing can escape the Eyes of Truth…”
FLAAASH!
Suddenly, a cat-sized black spider wearing a butler suit and a hat showed up, his eight eyes filled with surprise and a bit of fear. This spider is one of the entities that are spread everywhere and oversees the Apocalypse below everyone’s noses. Nobody can see them.
But with this eye, I can.
“Administrator Number #738, Charlotte the Trickster Spider, right?” I said.
“Y-You even know my name and Administrator number?!” He cried in shock.
Administrators, the nuisance of the Second Awakening, and the bastards of the Third Awakening.
