Chapter 2: Privileges
-----
“Greetings, I am a humble jester, a servant of []. My purpose is to serve and make my master’s happy. And today, amongst the many possible souls that could have been picked, you’ve been randomly selected for transmigration into this world line! Hurray! Hurray!” The jester began laughing, suddenly spreading confetti around the room while dancing and clapping his hands.
“I was selected randomly?!”
“Yes! I cannot disclose the major purposes of this change. But I am fairly sure one of the primary purposes is to bring, you guessed...” He said mysteriously. “Entertainment.”
“Ugh…”
I couldn’t believe it. Well, I was thankful I was given a second chance, I was already dead anyway. But still…
“Come on, don’t make that face! Isn’t this the world of your favorite novel? Bwahaha!”
“It’s not my favorite novel, but I know, and it makes it even weirder.”
“Don’t worry, don’t worry!”
The jester tried to calm my tension down, but his overly colorful appearance only made me more uneasy than anything. Despite that, it still felt like I was oddly calm despite the situation itself. Has something changed in my head while I transmigrated?
“The almighty [] is a merciful being. They have decided to give you a gift, Privileges! How so? In the form of the latest divine construct tech, a system!”
Ding!

So this is the status of the Protagonist's little sister. Is this how it feels to be an NPC? But the Constellations are watching over me. I’ve got Plot Points. And I can entertain them to get more. As long as I keep going and use the information from the novel’s events to my advantage, can’t I still grow stronger? I don’t need to be saved, now that I’ve been given a second chance in a world like this, I am going to make it worth it!
“Yes, yes, I like that smile of yours there! I see, you’re a rather unyielding soul! My master is happy. As you can see, Plot Points can be used to buy privileges! You’ve got 15 points thanks to our beloved sponsors of today, so how about trying to buy something? You’ll quickly notice you’re more than a useless extra.” The creepy jester spoke.

Suddenly, another window showed up, this time, it seemed to show countless “privileges” within the shop, which I could buy by spending certain amounts of Plot Points.
“You can buy the first one already! Come on, give it a try.” The jester said.
“Alright… Here goes nothing then.”
Ding!

-----
This Privilege seems to be ideal to become some sort of Tamer. Maybe like that, I can overcome my weakness at the beginning and level up more easily. Ah, now I am beginning to like these stupid Constellations! Perhaps I should set an altar to pray for them?
“As you can see, Privileges could be said to be… like passive skills. They do not rank up, but their effects, even at F Rank, are quite amazing! Aren’t they?! Gyahahaha!”
“I guess they aren’t so bad…”
“Aren’t you hard to please? Well, now that you’ve been introduced to the most basic stuff, I am going away!” The jester was about to disappear. However, right before that, he suddenly teleported right above me.
“Make sure to entertain my master and the Constellations that will be watching you! They have given you this opportunity because they want to see a different ending to this world line. You see, for a while now, they have been suffering from Author’s Block. Make sure to bring them all the entertainment and new ideas they desire!” He said with a demanding tone. “Because if you don’t… this entire world might come to an end.”
“Eh?! They’ll end it?” I asked in surprise.
“Oh no, they won’t do a single thing. But this world, as you’ve read in your novel is destined for doom! So try to not get to that bad ending- or should I say true ending, before it’s too late! Bye-bye!”
POOOF!
Before I could ask anything else, the jester disappeared. And over my belly, there was a small, red-colored treasure box.
Creak…!
It opened automatically, revealing something inside.
Ding!
[You’ve opened [Jester’s Treasure Chest (??? Rank)]!]
[You’ve acquired [Health Potion (D Rank)] x10, [Mana Potion (D Rank)] x10, [Antidote (D Rank)] x5, and [Hourglass of Calamity (??? Rank)] x1!]
[Notes: “I’ve left you a last gift for you, coming from yours truly, little Anna! Make sure to bring entertainment to my master! Oh, and that Hourglass? Well, why don’t you try to guess what it is counting for?”]
Oh, the guy gifted me potions, how nice of him-
Ding!
[The Hourglass of Calamity begins to react…]
[Time Left Before Calamity: 00:00:01]
Eh?
The hourglass began to sound dreadful. And before I could even get ahold of myself and start thinking what I should do now, an ominous sound startled me.
Crack… CRACK!
Right in front of me, the empty air began to tear down and open like glass.
FLASH!
It twisted, showing a spiraling mass of blue energy, which quickly started to create a strong suction force.
A Gate emerged.
Ding!
[The Forgotten World Fragments are colliding with your own World’s Dimensional Pillars.]
[The B Rank Dungeon: {Abyssal Caves} has been brought upon this world.]
