Chapter 584. Surprises at Home 1
Alex signed the contract, legally preventing him from spreading information about Master ranked technology. He didn’t have much of a choice in the matter, but at the end of the day, it didn’t really matter anyway. He had no intention of sharing his organization’s technological advancements and would, at most, use them for defensive purposes. Keeping those trump cards from falling into enemy hands was a no-brainer.
Alex then sold most of the Future Paradox Pokémon corpses, along with a little bit of everything else. The corpses had to be exchanged for meat that most of his Pokémon could consume, so he sold them to the League for that purpose. The technological samples and schematics were sold at a premium as well, while he kept the rest for Rhea. The League didn’t need much, and judging by the sudden drop in price after the first unit was sold, it was clear they only needed a sample to figure out how the technology worked.
Lastly, Alex was informed that the League had copied the data from Nyx’s database. Given the potential security threat, he didn’t have much of a choice but to allow it. Still, he was permitted to keep a copy of the data after it had been thoroughly cleaned of any viruses, so he had no complaints.
Having finished his debriefing, Alex was cleared to leave and immediately teleported back to Kanto. Upon arrival, he wasted no time heading to the command center, where he called a meeting with Nyx and Rhea and required both of them to attend. Most of the time, he only needed to meet with Celise or Maris, but this time, he needed his tech experts.
“Alex, you’re back!” Nyx shouted as she leapt onto his lap, straddling him before pulling him into a deep kiss. “You were gone for 9 months this time.”
“It’s only been half a year for me, but you’re right. It’s been too long,” Alex replied, squeezing her bare ass since she was wearing a mini skirt.
“Why’d you call me?” Rhea asked, heading in with a frown, looking like she hadn’t slept in days. “I was so close to finishing the energy shield integration and improving its efficiency by 50%, so this better be good.”
“I’m sorry for bothering you,” Alex said as Nyx began undressing him while greedily kissing his neck. “I just came back from a technologically advanced world with higher-tier tech, so I thought you might be interested in some new toys, but if you’re not interested—”
Rhea immediately leapt over the table and tackled both Alex and Nyx, sending all three of them crashing to the ground. She then showered Alex’s face with eager kisses.
“Master, husband, lord, boyfriend, best buddy of mine,” Rhea said between kisses, her earlier irritation completely gone. “This lowly and humble one wishes to accept your boon.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to tire you out. Clearly you’ve been working too hard. Perhaps we can delay this for a few months until you’re finished with your work,” Alex said as Nyx and Rhea pressed against him from either side, their hands and mouths already claiming his body while their clothing was slowly discarded to the side.
“No, no, no! I can handle it. Please, pretty please, with cherries on top?” Rhea begged, giving him her best pleading puppy-dog eyes.
“Alright,” Alex said with a chuckle. “Both of you sit down properly for now. I have a lot to unpack before we can have our fun.”
Rhea raced to the table and took a seat, her face bright with excitement as she bounced in her chair like an eager child. Nyx pouted but took her seat as well. She would much rather have continued fooling around, but he was insistent this time, which meant whatever he had gained from this particular dimensional expedition was worth a serious discussion. Alex took his seat as well after righting the chair he had been sitting on, unconcerned that he was now shirtless with his belt and pants unbuckled.
He then gave the pair a rundown of the world he had found himself in, with each additional detail grabbing both girls’ interest. For Rhea, it was a dream come true, while for Nyx, it was a significant point of interest. The information held by worlds like these had to be quite valuable, and she could use it to improve their cybersecurity and hacking capabilities.
“Rhea, I want all our bases outfitted with Arclight Cannons. This will guarantee that even if it takes us a while to reach them, they’ll still be protected from Master ranked threats.”
“That’s an understatement considering what those things can do. But sure, leave that to me.”
“I also want a new backpack with expanded space. It would easily allow me to earn 10 billion credits from a single dimensional expedition. We won’t have to worry about our finances or contribution points after my next trip. I also want a portable version of that jamming technology. Work with Nyx to integrate it into our defenses as well. I’m sure you can come up with a few ways to use communications jamming when we’re under attack, or at least develop countermeasures against it.”
“You got it, boss!”
“Nyx, you need to assume the database I brought back still contains deadly viruses, so make sure you never connect it to a public network. I’ll also need a new database to bring with me on my next trip.”
“Sure thing.”
“I can’t wait to test out those shield bearers!” Rhea exclaimed excitedly. “To think they can mimic Protect without Move Crystals! They’ve really cranked their energy manipulation up to eleven to pull off something like that. And all my babies are going to need a complete overhaul with this new technology! Man, I’m going to be busy from now on! Hahaha! I can’t wait!”
“You should have saved samples of that virus for me,” Nyx pouted. “I could have used it to improve my hacking skills.”
“Nothing I could’ve done about it,” Alex said with a shrug. “They tossed me down a trapdoor and kept me there naked for over a day just for having it. I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to sneak a copy out. Besides, they said the portable database might still have some remnants left. So if you can find them, you might be able to mimic its behavior.”
“Hmm... You know what? Challenge accepted, motherfuckers,” Nyx said with a determined grin.
“Just be careful not to start an apocalypse in this world,” Alex said, a tiny bit nervous.
Nyx wasn’t exactly the most mentally stable person. No matter how much Alex trusted her with his life, there was always a small chance that something could go wrong.
“What do you take me for?” Nyx said, sounding offended. “I’m not some dumbass mad scientist like this munchkin.”
“Hey!” Rhea protested. “Who’re you calling a dumbass?”
“So you’re okay with being a mad scientist munchkin?”
“Being a munchkin is one of my better assets! Besides, ‘mad scientist’ is a compliment.”
Alex smiled as he watched the pair banter. He really did miss his girls whenever he left, and seeing their faces when he returned was always a welcome sight. He had to admit there was something bittersweet about these reunions, but the time apart was necessary to keep their relationship from growing stale. Although, if he was being honest, that probably applied to him more than them.
He dismissed the meeting and headed to the living room to see the rest of his family. He kissed his girls, hugged his children, and told them all about the world he had found himself in. Then, he headed to the Pokémon habitats in the building, specifically to see the child he had left behind before the expedition.
“Pupitar!”
A thunderous roar rang out, followed by the explosive hiss of compressed gas as a gray form rocketed toward Alex. Alex opened his arms, braced himself, and caught the angry Pokémon, cracking the floor beneath him as he absorbed the force.
“Don’t be angry,” Alex said, gently cooing at the Pokémon. “You only eat and sleep when you’re in this form, so I couldn’t bring you with me. It might have delayed your growth.”
“Pupitar!” he replied angrily, anyway.
It had been over 6 years since Larvitar had joined Alex, and in all that time, he had stuck close to him like a spoiled child. He trained diligently, ate like a glutton, and grew quickly. Unfortunately, he was a pseudo-legendary Pokémon, so his growth was considerably slower than that of the rest of the team.
He had essentially been the team’s mascot when he was just a cute Larvitar, but ever since evolving into a Pupitar, he had developed a habit of trying to sit on Alex’s head, much to Alex’s annoyance. Worse, he would rub against Alex with his hard shell, seemingly unaware of just how uncomfortable it was.
Over the years, he had never grown out of his spoiled mentality, somehow surpassing even Espeon when it came to being pampered. That was why Alex had decided they needed some time apart, but judging by the way Pupitar had greeted him, it clearly wasn’t working.
“I promise to take you with me once you evolve. In your current form, you need all the food and sleep you can get.”
“Pupitar?”
“Yes, I promise.”
A smirk appeared on the Pokémon’s large face before the light of evolution suddenly shone brightly, and the Pupitar in Alex’s arms began to grow heavier and larger.
