The first light of dawn filtered through the window as I finally gave up on sleep. I rose, my body heavy with exhaustion, and splashed cold water on my face. My reflection stared back at me, dark circles under my eyes betraying my sleepless night before A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts.
"Hero, may I come in?" I opened it to find the Duchess standing there with her expression concerned as she looked at the dark bags under my eyes.
"Of course," I said, stepping aside to let her enter as my gaze trailed along her figure.
The duchess had taken off her armor and was now wearing a long black dress that hugged her curvy figure tightly going all the way down to her ankles. Her shoulders were exposed with the dress dropping in a V barely managing to contain a pair of large and milky breasts that were bulging against the fabric.
I didn't have the state of mind to admire the creamy valley of flesh that seemed to bounce as she walked nor could I admire her large buttocks that jutted out and swayed hypnotically with each step she took. It was easy to forget that the duchess was a fully mature women with such a toned and supple body when I constantly saw her wearing armor that covered her curves.
"You look like you haven't slept at all. Are you alright?" She turned around and studied me for a moment, her gaze softening.
"I'm fine," I replied, my voice strained.
"Just a lot on my mind." I said as I closed the door and walked toward her as the Duchess nodded, understanding in her eyes.
"I wanted to discuss Leon and his skill. Have you made a decision?" I hesitated, the weight of my answer pressing down on me.
"Ella volunteered to test it." I said with a shaky voice Almost not believing my own words.
"Ella? And you're okay with that?" The Duchess's eyes widened in shock.
"It's for the greater good. We need every advantage we can get." I gritted my teeth, the words bitter on my tongue.
"I understand" She said not speaking for a second before looking up at me with a complicated gaze.
"If the skill works and has a significant result, I will volunteer to go after Ella." She sighed, running a hand through her hair making me stare at her stunned.
"Duchess, you don't have to—" I tried to speak but she held up a hand, stopping me.
"I've hit a wall in my training after all I'm not as young as you" She sighed with a bitter look on her beautiful face.
"It's my duty as a Duchess and a member of your party to do everything I can to help. This is no different." I couldn't say anything as I watched her turn to leave.
Her words weighed heavily on my heart. The Duchess wasn't just a teacher to me; she was like a mother. Seeing her willing to make such a sacrifice left me feeling even more burdened than before, It made me feel as if i was the one who wasn't willing to do what was necessary while Ella and even the duchess were willing.
"I'll inform Leon and the guild. Rest if you can, Hero. We have a long road ahead." As she opened the door she paused, looking back at me.
I watched her go, Her hips swaying hypnotically as the door closing softly behind her. The room felt emptier without her presence, the weight of such a decision pressing down on me even harder. I sat down heavily on the bed, the enormity of what lay ahead sinking in. With Ella and the Duchess willing to make such sacrifices, I knew I had to find the strength to lead them through whatever challenges came our way.
Unable to bear the weight of my thoughts any longer, I found myself standing outside Ella's room. I hesitated for a moment, my hand hovering over the door before I finally knocked. Moments later, the door creaked open, revealing Ella standing there, dripping wet and wrapped in a towel that was high enough to exposed her toned thighs that rubbed together. Her milky skin glistened with droplets of water and the towel in the front was pushed out struggling to contain two large bags of fat that were hard to look away form, Ella's hair hung in damp strands sticking to her face and her skin was slightly rosy.
