Chapter 56. Charm
Chapter 56. Charm
-Brraakkk!
The gate opened loudly with just one swing of my claw. I did it on purpose so that his attention was shifted on me. My feet stepped into the dark entrance with an antique design.
-Kriekkk ...
The door opened by itself, like inviting me to come in. I moved my feet indifferently, I already expected this greeting from him. Since it means I've managed to take his attention.
The moonlight from the outside illuminated a large lobby filled with antiques with a dull carpet where I was. But only for a while.
-Ngikkk ---- Brakkk
The door closed and the room returned to dark. With human vision, it is very unlikely that they can catch the slightest circumstance around them since all the windows were also covered by woods.
'Trapped me in the dark? Not bad... '
Unfortunately, I'm not human. For demons, darkness is their friend and we can know our opponent's position by their scent.
A strange movement passed through my back.
'Wow, wow. There so many of them. ' From the smell, I could guess at least fifty undead had already surrounded me.
"Graawww!" A groan accompanied a footstep was advancing towards me. I dashed at him.
-DUK!
His head was cut off and fell to the floor, but even though his head was separated from his body. He still moves.
I took his head off the floor, his mouth still moving, trying to bite me like a goldfish. A chuckled out of my mouth.
"He looks so ugly. I wonder if his master is also as ugly as his creation?" I tried to provoke him, hoping to lure him out, but there was no answer.
'Too bad, it didn't work.' I dropped his head on the floor and stepped on it.
'Then I'll take care of them as soon as possible.'
"Graaawww!" Another groan was heard, this time accompanied by the thud of footsteps. They attacked me simultaneously. As fast as lightning I advanced towards them relying on my senses of smell and the flow of magic power in their bodies. I concentrated my power on my claws and swung it right at the undead's core.
Two magic powers met and collided with each other. As soon as I jabbed it, the undead's body exploded, littering the entire lobby with its blood, flesh and organ pieces.
The other undead stormed fiercely, but their movements were too slow for me. With agility, I dodged while attacking them easily, blowing up their bodies one by one. In just a few minutes there was no undead left, all that remained was a pool of blood and pieces of flesh that filled the room.
"Your army has lost, don't you want to come to greet me?" I tried provoking him one more time. I waited a while but he still didn't answer.
"Ceh! Play hard to get, huh? Alright, then I'll come to your place," I said as I stepped following his power's trace.
I just moved my foot into the stairs, a transparent hand suddenly holding my feet from below.
"Tsk!" I clicked my tongue in annoyance while stepping on it with my other foot. But it feels like I'm stepping on the air.
'This person also can control the specter ?! '
Specter is a type of undead spirit that has been controlled and invulnerable with melee attacks. To kill him, I must find his main body and attack his energy centre directly. Actually, they are not that dangerous for me but they are more troublesome than the ordinary undead.
"You want to play with me? Fine!" I focused my power on my feet and jumped. The specter's body was pulled with me, showing his flat face and transparent body. A flow of energy that rotates to form a green circular ball is in his chest.
I thrust my claws in, smashing his energy centre in mid-air. My feet landed on the second floor as the energy ball was destroyed and the specter's body disappeared.
My feet stepped, through the corridor with the door lined up along it. Just as I turned, dozens of arrows flew towards me. My hand aimed at the arrows and stopped them in mid-air with my telekinesis.
In front of me, dozens of skeleton archers had already lined up preparing to shoot their arrows.
'This necromancer is strong...'
I waved my hand, returning the arrows to them. Some of the skeleton's weapons fell but they haven't collapsed yet. Like the specter, I had to attack the energy ball in their chest to kill it.
As fast as lightning, I advanced toward them, my claws were ready to destroy them.
"Shadow Kill," a male voice came from behind a pillar in the corridor.
The floor under my feet turns black, some black hands emerge from there, trying to reach me. In flexibility, I jumped backwards and turned my gaze to the origin of the voice.
A man with a tattoo under his left eye, a skull that glowed in the green dim light in his hand.
"Looks like you changed your fighting style." His sharp eyes stared at me full of killing intent.
I frowned in confusion.
"What do you mean? We have never fought or met before."
"Nonsense! "
Unconsciously, the floor below me turned black and other hands also appeared from there. I gasped. I quickly dashed to avoid and attack him. The mage's and necromancer's weakness is they are a bad melee fighter. I want to take advantage of that opportunity to defeat him.
The arrows from the skeleton archers flew at me. I stopped it with my telekinesis and threw it at them as my feet continued to move towards him.
"Dark Inferno!" He casted another spell.
The black shadow below me changed to a black flame that was ready to scorch me into dust.
"Tsk!" Since I had no other choice, a pair of bat wings came out of my back. He looked surprised as I drifted toward him through the black flame easily.
I crashed into him, pinned his body against the wall while the skull in his hand fell to the floor.
"How about playing with me?" I said while giving him an evil smirk. I glanced at the skeleton archers, as I suspected they did not dare to attack because I was too close to their master.
"You're not her. Who are you? What is your purpose?"
I snorted annoyed.
"You just asked after you attacked me? It's too late!" I used my succubus charm on him and he quickly noticed it.
He struggled to get away but a second later, his face turned red and his breath getting heavier. My charm works. I'm sure, right now, his urge for mating is raised up.
A movement behind me distracts my attention from him.
"Bone wall."
Suddenly a pile of bones appeared and pushed me backwards, separating me from him. I swung my claw, breaking the wall of bones but he had disappeared, and so did his skull.
I tried to feel his magic power flow to track him but he had covered it.
'Too bad.' A second later, another evil smirk spread on my face.
'But that's fine, he is in my charm. He needs someone to vent his lust. Sooner or later he will come back to me. '
The arrows that flew towards me, returning my attention to my unfinished battle. I swing one of my wings and throw the arrows back at them.
My gaze was fixed on the skeleton archers lined up in front of me.
'After clearing up this annoying army. I had to find that necromancer. I have to make sure Kitty and Andrew could steal the book without any difficulties. '
