Expedition Aftermath II

With his status updated Nox started to plan out his next moves. He needed to design new spells for the deeper floors, finish up his spacetime project and most importantly complete the development of his longest running spell project.

The spell that combined elements of Kokonoe and Arcane Ring in order to allow him access to all of his recorded spells even if they are not slotted.

Although certain concessions would have to be made such as longer cast time, decreased efficiency or some other demerit, it would still prove incredibly useful. Crucial even, since he was about to increase his spell repertoire.

And, as he was going to create spells that capitalized on the unique advantages of each element, Nox would not be able to put them all together into a single spell model where the element is just another variable like he did with Spirit Bolt.

Beyond that, Nox also needed to establish a plan to grow his status as efficiently as possible without compromising his other endeavours. For now though, if he was fighting by himself, his current floor, the Water Palace group provided enough of a challenge.

The differences between the lower floors and the deep floors was far too steep and he could not ensure his safety in the later yet so he would stick around where he was for now.

Still, Nox had a couple of ideas on how to increase the challenge level and excelia gain without venturing into the deeper floors so not all was bad.

Before any of that though, he needed to visit his little group, update their Statuses since it had already been a few days since he had seen them and they were in a period where their excelia gain was still quite quick, even more so with the Ex-Pots Nox gave to them.

'Their base of operations should still be the 18th floor safehouse so let's see if they're there.' Nox thought to himself.

The descent was quick and uneventful, not even taking Nox one full hour to reach the safehouse. He could have just used the teleportation devices but, due to their instability, he didn't really want to rely on them if not absolutely necessary.

Unfortunately, their were out which was reasonable since it was the middle of the afternoon.

"Well, generally you're supposed to take a little rest after an expedition so I guess I'll just chill until they come back and do nothing." Nox said to himself before plopping down on a couch and closing his eyes for some quick shuteye.

A few hours later, he suddenly woke up with a sudden weight on top of him.

"Good morning handsome~?" A sultry voice greeted him.

*sigh* "Good afternoon Aisha." Nox responded to the beautiful and sexy amazoness straddling him.

"Where are the others?" He asked.

"Wandering about on the floor. They like to go to Rivira sometimes after our daily dungeoneering. I usually go with them but . . ." Aisha started.

"But?" Nox inquired.

"But, my womanly intuition told me I'd like it better if I returned home immediately today." Aisha replied.

"That's some accurate intuition." Nox honestly praised.

"Almost never failed me before." Aisha replied lowering her posture and pressing her whole body against Nox's.

"What's that I feel down below~?" She teased in her sultry tone.

"I would think someone with your experience would now that~" Nox teased back, wrapping his arms around her waist, eliciting a small moan.

"Hmm~ I like it when a man takes charge you know~" Aisha continued.

"Well then, I would hate to disappoint~" Nox countered.

He then flipped positions, leaving Aisha below him while keeping their bodies pressed together.

"Ooh~! I like this~!" Aisha exclaimed with a blush, not of embarrassment but of lust.

"Oh do you~?" Nox whispered in her ear, playfully biting her earlobes.

*Moan*

Aisha moaned louder and grabbed Nox head before pressing their lips together.

Immediately, tongues became involved, fighting for dominance as the kiss became ever more debauched and lustful. Both of them exploring the other's body with their hands unrestrainedly.

Aisha traced Nox's well defined muscles and carresed his "package" down below.

Nox dragged his hands across Aisha's sexy curves, pressing his leg onto her crotch and fondling her breasts as the pair became more and more heated.

Alas, sound of people entering the safehouse reached their ears and both of them tactfully decided to separate.

"We'll continue this later~" Aisha seductively whispered.

"Definitely~" Nox replied.

Soon, the returning Lili and Haruhime met Nox with the latter immediately hugging him as her tail happily swayed back and forth and the former eyeing Aisha with suspicion.

'Hmph! This harlot probably used her slut senses to detect Nox-sama's return and decided to run home!' Lili thought.

'The question is if anything of importance happened before our arrival . . . Good thing I felt something bad happening and decided to return earlier than usual." She pondered.

Greeting and suspicions aside, Nox updated all of their Statuses and they had indeed reached the benchmark for Level 2 even if not yes at the All-S parameters quite yet.

Still, right now, they were just grinding for development abilities and so, after picking one, Nox leveled them back down, Aisha being the only exception.

Thanks to her massive initiative in combat and the boost from the Ex-Pots, Aisha had already reached S-999 in all of her base parameters and as a former Level 4, she already had a total of three development abilities, four now with the latest level up.

As such, she decided to not to regress so that the party now had a Level two to take care of the others as they grinded.

Seeing her point, Nox agreed with Aisha's assessment and acknowledged her level up, not leveling her down like the other two.

He then spent the rest of the day hanging out with the group and, seeing how well his body and mind responded to the much needed rest, Nox decided to take the next day off as well, only returning to work the day after.

The following day was spent visiting all of his friends and acquaintances he had not met in the last few days.

He visited Airmid just to say hello, swung by Maria's Orphanage to play with the kids and flirt with the mature beauty, a screwed around with the guys from the Hermes Familia in the afternoon.

The night was spent partying at the Hostess of Fertility and flirting with the stunning waitresses that wasted no time reminding Nox of the gifts he "owed" them after they saw he gift Ryuu a pendant.

Still, all good things had to come to an end and the next day, Nox was back in the grind,

His first order of business was ensuring he would be able to keep smoothly progressing in terms of excelia gain in the dungeon so that he could efficiently split his time between his projects and dungeoneering.

Nox had a very daring plan for this however. During his research into the blood of the gods in order to make his Status Pick, he had developed an good understanding of the blood's innate power and the divine energy that still existed in it.

How to use this divine energy or even copy it, thus creating his own divine blood, possibly making him a demigod were both things that eluded him and only by deeply studying the process of unlocking a Status was Nox able to develop his Status Pick.

Despite this, he theorized it would be relatively simple to use the blood to emit a measure of divine power. Totally harmless and quite useless for the most part but, it presented a very nice possibility that Nox was deviously considering.

'If I trigger this emission inside the dungeon . . . Won't I be able to intentionally spawn those powerful Black Version monsters?' He thought.

Black monsters were significantly more powerful than their regular variants and, as a much greater challenge, also provided much better excelia.

Even better, they had unique and powerful drops which, with Nox's Luck development ability, would be far easier to farm.

First though, tests needed to be made and then a plan for when and where to spawn these monsters would have to be drawn.

Still, it was indeed a nice little solution that would give Nox powerful enemies to battle against and grow while not requiring him to dive even deeper into the dungeon all by himself. It would literally solve all of his short term dungeoneering problems if it actually worked.

'Hmm . . . The first question is where to try it first . . .' Nox pondered.

'It need to be on a relatively shallow floor since it's just to check if it will work and I want to end the battle fast . . .'

'Let's do it on the 12th floor and see if a Black Infant Dragon can be spawned." He finally decided.

And so, with his course of action set, Nox got to preparing.
