The Matter of Freya XII

The goddess of beauty was most certainly in an interesting state. In her black dress that left little to the imagination, with her left hip, shoulders, back and the center line of her torso all exposed, Freya laid listlessly on her extremely large bed.

But even such an usually unflattering position seemed to be seductive to the highest degree which when combined with her sexy clothing, made it a scene of unbearable temptation.

As Nox looked closer however, behind her listless eyes, he could almost sense the swirling emotion, the storm of unending thoughts that threatened to drive the most powerful and influential goddess of Orario over the edge.

After making this initial judgement however, Nox knew the only thing to do was to enter the room and see if he could bring the goddess of beauty back from the brink to her usual levels of craziness since expecting her to suddenly become a reasonable individual after a mere talk when she was notoriously unreasonable for an eternity, was indeed a bit too much to ask.

Even after entering and closing the door behind, Freya who had no doubt hear him entering showed no reaction at all, most likely thinking to be one of her familia members.

Nox just walked closer to her bed and said in a low, almost enchanting voice.

"Aren't you going to receive me Freya-sama?"

How the goddess not recognize the voice belonging to the figure that occupied all of her thoughts, cursing her with an obsession she could not rid herself of, that she did not want to rid herself of and yet it was also an obsession she saw no way of fulfilling.

Sitting up in a hurry, Freya saw Nox taking a sit on her bed, leaving them in such proximity that she had never experienced with him in her true form.

After staring for a tad bit too long, Freya finally got her thoughts in order and began speaking in an attempt to figure out what her latest and greatest obsession, her latest and greatest love was doing in her bed, not that that was not exactly what she desired.

"I assume my children brought you here?" Freya said in a bit of an inquiring tone.

"That's right, you worried too much and since they knew it had something to do with me, they went to the Twilight Manor to invite me to come here and talk with you to see if I could help." Nox confirmed.

"Oh? Who did?" Freya asked.

"The King and a girl called Horn. The latter was probably the one that came up with the whole idea though. At least it seemed that way to me." Nox honestly replied.

'I'll have to reward Horn later . . .' Freya thought to herself.

'She managed to bring Nox here, to my bedroom! WIth his personality, I'm afraid the cost was not small but for me, it couldn't be more worthy it!' She internally praised her confidant while delighting over the current situation.

"You look very happy with the way things turned out it seems." Nox commented.

"That is because I most certainly am beside myself with joy over having you here." Freya unabashedly responded.

"Well, even though I feel were not really compatible, I can't say that having the most beautiful goddess in the world say that to me doesn't give me a heavenly feeling of satisfaction." Nox confessed only, fo freya to make an extremely weird expression.

It looked at his was half downcast and crazy while the other half she was immensely pleased with his compliment. Seeing this however, Nox immediately realized something.

"Don't tell me all of this came about due to what I said about compatibility when I taught that black cat a lesson." He said.

Freya completely froze, being completely seen through was not something she was definitely used too and having Nox know that just a couple of words said by him unsettled her to this degree was far too embarrassing, even Freya could not control a slight blush of shame from getting her cheeks.

'One really must be careful about what they say in public . . .' Nox internally sighed at the revelation.

"I must say though, you must be blessed Freya-sama." He said.

"Why so?" The goddess of beauty shook off her embarrassment and was now intrigued instead.

"You were probably thinking of way to get me to come to you but all it took was letting go and acting out." Nox shook his head.

"To tell the truth, I think I know you well enough to understand the entirety of Orario would suffer greatly if you went off the rails completely so, even if your children did not come to find me, I would sneak in to meet you." He confessed.

'Well done past me! Your foresight was excellent, just as planned.' Freya praised herself internally.

Still, Nox words were quite pleasing to the goddess' ears. Apparently, not only did he make an effort to know and understand her, he would even go out of his way to meet her just because she was greatly unsettled.

As naturally as breathing, Freya selectively ignored the part about him coming due to the large scale problems she would inevitably cause and instead internal told herself he would come just to make her feel better.

"Well you seem better already so I guess my work here is done. Don't go crazy again okay . . . Well, not crazier than usual I mean." Nox suddenly said.

"Also . . . If you really want to see me, you just need to ask, I have no reason to refuse something as simple as that, spending time your does not sound bad at all." He added in comment as he got up to leave.

Freya however, suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him towards her while exclaiming . . . "Wait!"
