A Second in Command II

Realizing Riveria's troubles and how much more she could be, Nox decided to shared a lot more details with Riveria, involving her much more deeply in the logistic side of his plans and endeavours.

"Alright, get ready then because I'm about to share a lot more than I originally intended." Nox told the high elfess.

"I would wish for nothing more." Riveria replied with a smile, knowing that she finally got through to her beloved, at least enough for him to develop a much greater willingness to rely upon her both in terms of knowledge and abilities.

"First thing you ought to know is that I possess quite an exampsive network that spreads along the darker side of society." Nox started.

"I use it to acquire the kinds of resources that are nowhere near legal for my research and also to pad up my regular resources when the proper channels are not enough to secure an appropriate amount, something which happens annoyingly often when it comes to the rarer ones." He revealed.

"I also used to take part in some unsavory activities to procure more resource and monetary means since in the past, I lacked the wealth and connections to acquire the things that I needed to progress down my research smoothly while increasing my own abilities." Nox concluded.

Riveria took a deep breath. It was not a possibility she had never considered, especially after she got closer to Nox and better understood his means, personality and general way of operating.

Such criminal acts were not something she saw in a good light and was more of a mind to punish those who partook in such things but . . . love changes people and she had already tossed herself into the fire.

Riveria sworn herself to Nox and even pressed him to reveal more of his dealings so she could support him through all of his endeavours. She still did not like it but for him, such acts would be something she would tolerate.

If Nox wanted to seek something beyond her imagination, something that involved staining his hands with sin, so long as he did not lose his way, so long as he was not completely twisted and stopped being the man she feel in love with, then Riveria swore to follow and help him no matter what.

" . . . Alright . . . Based on what you just shared, acquiring disposable thugs to employ in such shady activities so that none of us have to risk showing an association to those parts of society and marr our reputation would be a very wise move indeed, considering their loyalty can by assured through your means." Riveria finally spoke.

". . ." Nox was a bit speechless. Riveria's lack of commentary on his less savoury exploits was something already but her attitude that all but determined with absolute certainty that she would fully cooperate and stand by his side from now on even when it came to such things . . .

Well, it was something far beyond Nox's expectations and he would be lying if he said he was not both beyond happy and incredibly shocked.

Such a reaction did not went by unnoticed as Riveria most certainly caught it, letting a beautiful gentle and cool smile form on her face in response.

"Surprised?" She asked.

"You shouldn't be . . . I love you after all." The high elfess simply declared, melting Nox's heart in the process.

In that very moment, his passion overwhelmed him as he took the woman in front of him into his arms and took her lips with unbridled vigor.

Riveria was a bit flustered at the sudden attack, freezing for a little before responding in full force, entangling her tongue with Nox's while her arms found their way around the back of his neck.

Meanwhile, Nox's hands roamed around the high elfess' lithe yet just curvy enough body,m appreciating it like the divine work of art it was, making Riveria moan into his mouth every single time he passed one of the more sensitive areas.

After that short moment of passion though, the pair just put their foreheads together while still hugging each other, just feeling their lover's presence and body while closing their eyes with happy, satisfied smiles on their graceful and beautiful faces.

A few long minutes passed as they admired each other but eventually, they broke and stepped back, still close enough to touch, holding each other's by the forearms but far enough to have a proper face to face conversation.

"Let us get back to work shall we." Riveria said with a smile.

"You were the one who drew me off path with your irresistible charm and heart stirring words my love~" Nox teased in response.

Riveria giggled softly, it was the most pleasant and melodious giggle Nox had ever heard.

"Should I have kept quiet and not have shared my love~?" She teased back.

"We both know the answer to that." Nox responded, looking the high elfess in her beautiful green eyes as the pair of lovers nearly fell into the trap of passion once more and began to make out before firming themselves as there was still urgent business to take care off.

The others were still waiting for them after all, a consensus had to be formed with the whole group before organized movement could be initiated.

"So . . . Tell more specifics about what you wish to achieve my love." Riveria bade Nox to share and having now fully accepted her as a reliable second in command who wished to join and support him in all of his doings, whatever they might be, he decided to be completely honest with her.
