Aftermath of the Show II

Mikoto and Chigusa, the two remaining girls of the Takemikazuchi Familia however . . . Had "slightly" different reactions . . .

Chigusa had been struggling for a little while now with the decision of whether to join Nox's group with Haruhime seeming to be very much looking forward to it, or to remain in the Takemikazuchi Familia as other than her disillusionment with Ouka, she still cared for greatly.

Nox's showing allowed her to finally make her choice however. Chigusa realized she might never get over Ouka completely if she was forced to work with and trust him with her safety every single day in the Dungeon.

And now, seeing Nox being not just extremely powerful, but also protective of his own, even when they were just tamed monsters, Chigusa felt more and more inclined to take up Nox and Haruhime's offer to join their merry band.

Also, despite the violence shown by Nox, Chigusa found him to be quite cool during the events that had occurred and even slightly fantasized about being rescued like that which would lead to  . . . other "stuff" . . .

Someone who shared such an opinion was Mikoto. Being a front line fighter for her familia, Mikoto had very little problem with violence so long as there was what she considered, a just cause.

Seeing Nox harshly defend his tamed monsters and even risk antagonizing the Orario's mightiest Familia over it . . . Well, Mikoto would never admit it got her "heated up".

She had always found Nox attractive but also viewed him as out of her league and the fact that he was quite obviously an item with her great childhood friend Haruhime, resulted in Mikoto burying this budding affection.

Haruhime however, noticed this and, being the ever dutiful wife who always had her dear husbands happiness in her mind, decided to encourage Mikoto to let these feelings blood, even making talks of deepening their own bond by becoming sisters as Nox's lovers.

The renard seemed to have a bit of an obsession with organizing a harem of trusted ladies to support her husband and never showed any jealousy, merely a wish for more attention and love from her beloved.

Due to all this, while Mikoto was not at all considering to leave the Takemikazuchi Familia, she did wonder about integrating into Nox's group nonetheless as Haruhime mentioned there was indeed a way to do so regardless.

But perhaps, the group most affected by Nox's showing, was the group that thought they knew him best and that would be his very own Loki Familia.

Loki herself knew how brokenly overpowered Nox actually was and, as the goddess that spent the most time with him, she was more than aware of his more ruthless side as such, other than getting a headache over what she was already predicting would be the widespread impact of Nox's action, Loki was not at all surprised by what occurred.

The rest of her Familia however . . . Not so much. Thos like Ais and Riveria who had crossed over into Nox's personal group despite still being technically a part of the Loki Familia, had already learned of Nox's heaven shaking might, the others however, were shocked beyond belief.

It was already quite hard for them interiorize that the cute kid who had just been with them for a short three years, had already become a core member capable of being on of the Familia's main sources of strength in its Deep Floors expedition.

But to think that he had not only caught up with the executives in such a relatively short time but completely left them in the dust . . . Well it was a bit too much to bear.

Especially to those like Aki and Alicia who played a part in actually training Nox, it was a hard pill to swallow that their cute disciple had gone so far ahead of them that they couldn't even catch a trace of his back.

In fact, they, along with a few others like the Hiryute sisters, Bete and the executives, Finn and Gareth, knew that Nox had not been fighting seriously at all, and that's what really shocked them.

Nox had defeated one of Orario's strongest adventurers without even trying. Finn was confident he could take Allen in a one on one and win most of time or even all of the time. However, he also knew he couldn't do it nearly as casually as Nox had.

All the higher ups of the Loki Familia had seen Nox fight when he was weaker and knew his greatest strength laid in his magic's power and versatility. As he progressed and became a blacksmith and item crafter, they knew he had extremely powerful equipment at his disposal as well.

In his fight with Allen however, Nox used only one variation of his favourite enhancement spell and not even to its full potential, while also not donning any armor, weapons or magical items.

All of the higher ups immediately decided to corner Loki for information as Nox seemed to disappear as the prowess he had show was just too much not to provoke such a reaction.

As for the second to last group to be unbalanced by the vents during the end of the Monsterphilia Festival, was of course, the other involved party that messed with Nox, the Freya Familia and within said group, there was no doubt a huge amount of dissonance.

Namely, the various reactions the event provoked in the goddess herself and her various top subordinates.
