Chapter 264 – Story

She stood up and trotted to the bookshelves. Without any hesitation, she took a specific book out and gave it to me. The title was simple: ‘The beaver and the gorilla’.

“This is my latest book. I put a lot of effort into it because I felt a strong connection to the main female character. I hope you’ll like it.”

“Thank you. I’m looking forward to reading it.”

That wasn’t wrong. Not only would it be the first fiction story I would read from the outer world, but it would also be the first erotic novel. I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss the large and accessible ocean of information that Rylnet had been, especially since it had helped me go through my training without becoming crazy.

When I took the book, Liv closed on me, signaled me to bend down, and whispered sensually in my ear.

“I don’t know if it’ll fit your taste, but if it does, you know where to find me.”

She separated from me and spoke normally again.

“I really appreciate that you never looked repulsed by my appearance, even after I showed everything.”

“I won’t deny I like cute things, but except for that, appearance is a lot less important to me compared to what’s inside people’s hearts. I can see your true charm behind your facade.”

It was the sort of reply that would make people from my world cringe. Here, however, it was quite effective. Her eyes widened, and her mouth opened a little before closing again.

“…You’ll make me fall in love if you say that.”

“I have this effect on people.”

“Hahaha! Okay, Tila. I can see why everyone’s fond of you. Please give me your thoughts on that book.”

I understood she was dismissing me, so I left after greeting her. Once I was outside, I thought about my next schedule. I first needed to get the crops, give them to Suuru, and take care of the water in 6. After that, it would be time for interviews in my store.

I was getting ready to find Kuini again when I heard some small sounds coming from Liv’s house. Curious, I came closer again, only to hear moans and grunts of pleasure escaping from the inside. She had barely waited for me to leave before starting something, and it wasn’t even relief time yet. Could it be that among the bunnies, some needed even more than just the standard four relief times per day? That wouldn’t be strange since everyone was different. There might even be some who needed less than that, too.

This gave me a hard-on, which ended up being a non-issue since my next meeting was with Kuini. The girl was still a bit ashamed, but calmed down when she noticed my splendid erection. I had less leisure than usual today, so we finished quickly before going on with our day.

Once I was done filling the water containers in 6, I had a bit of time before the afternoon interviews started, and decided to check the book content. It was the story of a rich gorilla merchant man meeting a farmer beaver woman. After several interactions, they became attracted to one another, thus starting the plot. From there, they had to overcome many obstacles, like their difference in status, species, size, culture, and so on.

And yet, all of that was just a small part of the story. The biggest chunk was about their intimate relationship, as expected of an erotic novel. It began relatively wholesomely but quickly snowballed when it was revealed that the beaver was quite… submissive. And not just a little, but very much so. After that, the steamy acts increased in intensity. Some of them even completely crossed the line of what was proper, with the gorilla strongly dominating the small beaver again and again.

I closed the book and sighed. My boner was back, stronger than before, even though I just had sex with Kuini. I couldn’t deny the book was oddly arousing. Liv knew what she was doing when she wrote it.

And of course, I wasn’t oblivious enough not to understand the underlying message. The rich gorilla merchant was obviously a reference to me, and the small submissive beaver was pointing to Liv. In other words, she was writing her fantasies, with her wishing me to dominate her strongly. Speaking of which, she had asked for some borderline acts when we shared relief time, like the throat fucking, for example. That explained a lot.

I shook my head, trying to forget about this for now. It was still the middle of the day, and I had a lot to do. When my hard-on was gone, I teleported to Geola, readying myself for the interviews. The children would be able to take care of themselves for the most part since I would give them money every day. And if something unexpected happened, they could always come and find me at the store or leave a message there.

When I reached the place, a long queue had already formed in front of the doors. I sighed, readying myself for a long day.

Choosing the three store clerks ended up being relatively easy. It was time-consuming, but I ended up picking what I felt were the best candidates. The real issue was the store manager. Seven people had come for the position. I had to use all my knowledge and judgmental power to finally choose someone who looked not only experienced and skilled, but also trustworthy.

The winner was a man, a horse named Poitr, who wasn’t the most experienced but looked the most trustworthy, which was what I valued over everything else.

I had all the other candidates leave before explaining the situation to the four that were left.

“I’m looking forward to working with you, everyone.”

“Yes!”

“Yes, boss!”

“I’ll do my best.”

“Leave it to me.”

At least, they were enthusiastic. It made sense since I would pay them above-average rates.

“The work will start from tomorrow, but I’ll explain a little today.”
