Chapter 212 – Haul
“You should just do what I say.”
As expected, her arguments were weak, which made me grin.
“You mean, like how you just sexually assaulted me?”
“You’re the one who made me do it!”
“A rank 0 mage forced a rank 2 sorceress to sexually assault him?”
“You’re maddening! I can’t believe I’m doing this with someone like you. Stupid post-battle lust.”
“Don’t worry, I know you’re not the sort of woman to have sex with just anyone.”
“What do you even know?”
“You could have had sex a long time ago already. I know you only did it with me because you absolutely adore me.”
“You’re delusional!”
“No need to be shy, I’m naturally attractive like that.”
“I can’t talk with you. You’re so annoying.”
“You’re right. Stop blabbering already. Less talk and more sex, thanks.”
“That’s my line!”
“So you want more sex? We think alike.”
She scoffed.
“Bah. Sex is nothing special. I can get off better by myself.”
“Who are you kidding? You felt so good you were moaning like crazy.”
“You’re so infuriating! Worse than master! Fine! I’ll fuck you so much you’ll start to cry! You better keep your dick hard!”
And so she tried. We had sex for two more hours, at which point she finally stopped, fully satisfied. My balls were also empty, but it was still way better than what happened with Wico. I had more time before meeting Ouxai, so I invited her to a nice restaurant, where she engulfed a massive quantity of food. Since I was paying, she stuffed herself to the maximum, caressing her now larger belly with satisfaction when she was done.
“It’s time for me to go now. There's someone I need to meet soon.”
I prepared to leave after the meal, but she stopped me.
“Wait. Are you staying in Ekidos?”
“I’m not staying, but I’ll visit the city from time to time.”
She looked disappointed.
“Tsk. See? You won’t even be here to take care of my needs.”
“Don’t sulk. We have our goals. I need to become a great merchant, and you need to become the strongest in the world.”
“Hmph. We could do that together.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll fuck you hard whenever we meet.”
“Ha! You’ll always be under me! That’s your place!”
“I’m glad you liked being on top so much. Here, drink this.”
I gave her a bottle of contraceptive medicine. She took it, examining it curiously.
“What’s that?”
“Contraceptive medicine, just in case.”
“Why do you have it?”
“I’m always prepared for whatever could happen. See, it comes in handy now.”
She grinned.
“You’ve been wanting to get into my panties from the very beginning, huh? Fine.”
She gulped the whole thing in one go without any hesitation.
“Doesn’t taste good.”
“Yeah? Anyway, I’ll get going now. Try not to hurt yourself too much while fighting.”
“It’s a sorceress' fate to get hurt.”
I shook my head and gave her a few more medicines and bandages I had on me. I wasn’t sure how she usually treated her wounds, but it didn’t hurt to have more. Just like everything I gave her, she took it as if it were natural, and we separated on that note.
I still had a few things to prepare before meeting with the fisherman. I roamed the late market to locate what I needed. After looking around for a while, I finally found it. I bought two large waterproof fabrics, large enough to cover the area of my carriage and trailer. I then went to my inn to take both out, applying the fabrics on top of the container level, protecting the wood.
Next, I directed the horses toward the sea and scoped some of it to fill my carriage and trailer, to act as a sort of small open-air aquarium. When this was done, I made my way back to the docks, where Ouxai told us to meet.
It seemed I arrived slightly late, or maybe he was early, because he and his boat were already moored. He seemed relieved when I approached, as if he still wasn’t certain the deal was real.
“You’re here.”
“Sorry, I’m a bit late.”
“It’s fine. I got what you wanted.”
However, no matter how I looked, there were no fish anywhere.
“Where?”
“There.”
He pointed at the back of his boat and moved into action. It was then that I noticed his fishing net was still in the water behind the boat. He strongly tried to lift it while talking.
“Instead of throwing the nets many times and getting a few fish here and there, I kept it inside the water the whole time. This way, the fish should be able to stay alive for a whole trip. It’s not efficient, but it should work for what you want.”
“Smart.”
Yet, there was an issue. No matter how he tried to lift the net, he didn’t manage to do so. The weight of so many fish was too much for one person to lift.
“Hey, come and help me!”
I was now hired as a helper, but even so, the two of us were not enough. Ouxai noticed people he knew on the street and called out to them.
“Hey, guys! Come help lift this!”
He might have been popular in the neighborhood because soon, there were five of us stretching our muscles at full power. Finally, the net was going up, and a large quantity of twitching fish appeared in our view.
“Thanks for the help, guys.”
While he simply thanked them, I acted as a merchant. I gave each a silver, and the three friendly passersby went on their way happily.
“You’re a generous one, aren’t you?”
“It’s basic to reward people for their work.”
I looked at the fish and found that, while most belonged to the three species I was aiming for, there were still quite a few different ones too. He seemed to understand my gaze because Ouxai immediately explained.
“I tried to go to the places where salmon, cod, and redfish usually are, but since the net was down all the time, I caught a bunch of other stuff too.”
