Chapter 164 – Chain Control
Watching the battle was interesting, but I still had no plans to monitor the full war. I only checked it occasionally, just to see if any development could mean some kind of business opportunity for me.
A few days later, I received positive news when I visited Geola’s outskirts. Although they weren’t completely certain yet, they believed the vaccine truly decreased the chances of contracting the disease. They declared they had made a breakthrough about the situation to calm the population down and officially renamed the sickness to Roklera. I was asked to buy some more vaccines, which I gladly did. Reverse-engineering began in earnest now, with most herbalists in the city focusing on that single goal.
Once they got their hands on fresh vaccines, my role there was pretty much done. I was still asked to come every day but wasn’t assigned any new tasks.
My everyday life was filled with the same routine. Visiting the bunnies' village to buy crops, helping Suuru in 82’s market, monitoring my emergency shelter and the war, learning dome 6’s language, training, helping Ulum with her physical contact problem, and so on. I didn’t manage to find a decent map of the surroundings yet since it was considered critical military intelligence and wasn’t freely available on the market.
The problem was that, despite all of this, I still had a lot of free time. I wanted to do more business but was a bit stuck. Geola was quarantined, the three surrounding countries were in the middle of a war, and I didn’t want to go too far away yet before having conquered the area first. After a bit of thinking, I decided to plan for the future.
With the current business loop, which was stalled due to Geola being closed, I would buy cheap crops from the bunnies, which I would sell in 82 to buy selnics items, which I would sell again in Geola to buy food, all of this with a lot of profits in between. It worked well, but if there was one part that could be improved, it would be about buying the selnic items in 82.
I was buying them either in the market or in a specialized shop, trying to find good quality products at a decent price. The issue was that I was buying at retail price, and not at production price with a bit of margin. This was where I could do better.
There were two solutions. The first one would be to buy from a factory directly if that was possible. The problem was that 82 only had a small one, and it was owned by a large corporation spanning several domes, who sold the final products to individual resellers. If I wanted to go with this solution, I would need to find a factory selling directly to merchants, which implied that I would need to go to another dome again.
The second possibility was a lot trickier but potentially the most profitable in the long term. I could build a factory, allowing me to have full control over the production chain.
I was a lot more attracted to the second idea because time was in my favor. With at least a hundred and fifty years in front of me, I had no reason to seek short-term solutions when long-term ones were available, especially if profits ended up better in the end. What’s more, I could get my hands on cheap raw materials, unlike people from the domes, increasing profit margins even further.
One evening after fucking Suuru silly as usual, I broached the subject with her.
“Say, Suuru, I’ve been thinking of building a selnic factory. Do you think that’s possible?”
My business partner, who was still twitching orgasmically from the strong sex, took a while to respond.
“…Why are you asking this now? Huh… Is it me or you’re getting more savage every day? I feel very tired now.”
“Do you mean it feels better every day?”
“Is that how it is?”
“Maybe your body’s getting more accustomed and sensitive as we do it. I think I’ve heard something like that back in my world.”
“I don’t know. I can’t tell.”
I fingered her lightly and she moaned pleasantly.
“Mhmm… Do you want to go again already?”
“Look at you. You say you’re tired but you want more?”
“Don’t try to put this on me. You always touch me when you want to do it again.”
“Haha, maybe. Anyway, what’s your answer to my question?”
“Building a selnic factory? Why would you want to do that?”
“To increase our profits. And because I have the time right now.”
“What? Aren’t we earning enough right now?”
“Of course not. We’re just starting.”
“Hmm. Ah… Mhmm...!”
She didn’t seem convinced but got distracted by my fingers deep into her pussy, stroking one of her good inner spots with a lewd noise.
“So, is it possible?”
“I-I don’t know much about it but you’ll probably need some authorization from the government. Mhmm… Right there, Tila…”
“An authorization… Makes sense. Maybe it’s time for me to get an ID. I’m not sure how to do that, though.”
“M-Me neither. You can only get one with a birth certificate, normally. Haah… Haah… Stronger, Tila.”
I increased the pace of my fingers inside her cunt while thinking about the problem. From the start, this had been the true showstopper for me and it was still the case today, even though we used a stop-gap measure by having Suuru own the Urtek company. It might indeed be time for me to do something about it.
“Ah! Ah! Ahh! So good! I’m getting close, Tila!”
I distractedly continued my work on her warm and wet inner flesh while resolving to visit the city hall the next day. All problems had a solution. It was just a matter of finding it.
“Almost there! I’m going to come! Coming! Mhmm! Aaahhh!”
Suuru climaxed happily next to me, her body twitching in ecstasy as the pleasure took over her. My fingers automatically continued to stimulate her to the end, the view of her orgasmic face pushing me to start another round of sex right after.
