Chapter 58 – Balance and Separation
Nuwa enters Iroh’s room where they decide to meet daily to enter the Spirit Realm. She’s slightly surprised to see Azula and Iroh talking like old friends and sipping tea. ‘What the fuck? Does Azula even like tea?’
Azula doesn’t react to her entry, other than a glance. Iroh takes them into the Spirit Realm where they arrive at a mountaintop which is low altitude enough to not be chilly, but high enough to see landscapes far into the distance. Opposite the beautiful landscape is a sky towering mountain range clouded by snow and mist.
‘The Order really knows how to pick their places. I’ve seen pictures of things like this in my first life online, but I’ve never been here before. It looks higher than the Himalayas.’
The three are the earliest at the scene this time around. Bumi, Piandao, Xai Bau, and Aiwei arrive later on. Pakku and Jeong Jeong are no shows. Soon after they sit down, the group notices Azula radiating heat. Azula has been constantly in pain and sweating from heat all day, so she doesn’t notice anything different, but in the spirit realm, the spiritual bodies are far more sensitive to chakra disturbances.
All of these enlightened people can tell that Azula’s Heart chakra is severely injured if she’s leaking fiery chi without pause. It’s a testament to her strength that she can even go about daily life with such a dire injury.
Nuwa’s spiritual body also lacks the confident and charismatic glow that she had formerly. These discrepancies along with the fact that Azula and Nuwa are not sitting together and are separated by Iroh, they figure out that some shit went down.
It’s none of their business, but Piandao starts out offering some spiritual advice for how he seeks balance. The reason he does this is that a sudden enlightenment can fully heal chakra injuries, so it’s common courtesy to state how he became enlightened.
“They say that a swordsman must sever his emotions to become one with his sword, but I’m sure those who do have only ever become tools or slaves to others. I believe the true peak of swordsmanship is balance.”
“The sword is a tool of balance, with an equally impressive attack and defence. It is in between a dagger and a spear in length with none of the weaknesses of either. Its speed allows one to switch between stances at will and weave in and out of slashes, jabs, parries, and lunges with ease.”
“Just like a sword, I pursue balance in my life. I avoid excesses, other than those in the pursuit of my dream of being the strongest swordsman, and I try to be adaptable to all situations. This is my path of the sword.”
Bumi laughs and raises a drink that he seemingly pulls out of nowhere, “Hahaha! Well said, young lad! As for me, I just like to have fun, while protecting my home of Omashu! Hahaha!”
Piandao’s eye twitches and Xai Bau pitches in, “I thought I knew where to find my balance, but I was wrong. Even at my advanced age, it seems that I still have much to learn. I’ve taken to watching small children play lately. Their cheerfulness reminds me of a world that isn’t jaded by evil and corruption.”
“They form their own small worlds in their neighborhoods, and even if they are unhappy, they can find happiness in the smallest of things. So I had the thought that maybe our mission of restoring balance is to make the world a place where everyone can laugh with happiness like a child at least once a day. That is my new dream. I am not sure about the path I’ll take to achieve that dream, or if I’m even suitable for such a dream, but I know I can start with protecting those smiles.”
Azula listens to the advice of her seniors carefully and thinks deeply about how their paths differ from hers. She pursues the peak of firebending, and she does it through love for Nuwa. There is no balance involved in this path at all. In fact, it is extreme as fuck. If they had a happy relationship without ever doubting each other and lived in a perfect world, then maybe she would become very powerful.
But those worlds only exist in fairy tales and she has a hole in her heart. If she removed her arms which were crossed on her chest, the group would all see a hole with a diameter of 2 cm straight through her clothes and out her back. Nuwa would assuredly be reminded of a hollow from Bleach, except Azula’s hole is leaking superheated air.
Azula soon comes to the conclusion that her path of love is not appropriately balanced. Azula realizes that even if she loves Nuwa, she should not have made her life itself dependent on Nuwa’s whims. It sounds romantic and all, but it was a stupid decision that overly burdened Nuwa’s conscience.
Azula knows that she will always be possessive of Nuwa, but she also knows that Nuwa has her own path. A path with relatively low compatibility with her own. They wouldn’t have had a problem if Nuwa had an equally extreme path of love directed towards her to balance hers out.
Azula thinks back to their good times in school. ‘Should I change my path from *love for Nuwa* to *satisfaction being by Nuwa’s side*?’
Nuwa looks worriedly at Azula who seems to be deep in thought. All that Nuwa knows is that Azula recently recalled the first time they had sex in school. The time Nuwa asked Azula to take care of her proclivities. This brings a smile to her face. Though it felt like years ago, it was only four months back. Nuwa sighs and the seniors begin their small talk and pai sho.
Nuwa quietly pulls Azula and Aiwei off on a walk down the picturesque mountainside. Azula is mostly quiet. Aiwei stares dumbfoundedly when he sees the hole on Azula’s back. Nuwa looks to Aiwei and says, “Azula and I need to talk privately for a moment, please stay here, we’ll be right back.”
Nuwa grabs Azula’s hand and teleports them to Xai Bau’s grove where there’s currently no one around. She exposes her nipple, activates [Milk Maid], and offers it to her. Azula leans down and suckles the healing milk from her tit, which relieves some of the pain from her spiritual body. Nuwa strokes Azula’s head tenderly.
She begins, “Zul, you know how I said Aiwei is special? I suspect that he’s got an ability related to the truth, like sensing any and all lies. To someone like me who lies habitually, being around him forces me to face the truth. If it wasn’t for him.. you know.”
Azula feels her Heart burning in jealousy of Aiwei, but also feels gratitude for him, otherwise she would still be blind to the truth. But then some resentment creeps up, ‘If I hadn’t known the truth, our relationship would still be fine! This idiot, Aiwei, was the trigger!’ But again that quickly vanishes as she considers more, ‘Sigh, I shouldn’t be so quick to anger.. that guy is just a pitiful person. What Nuwa and I both want isn’t fake love. We want the real thing.’
Azula casually gropes Nuwa’s body as she suckles and thinks. When she reaches Nuwa’s ass, she notices there’s some raised area on it. Azula gets curious so she turns Nuwa around and flips up her minidress. There’s no panties, but there’s still a red welt from when she spanked her this morning.
She says with some anger, “Why haven’t you healed this yet? You’re not allowed to forgo healing after sex!”
Nuwa nods demurely and sucks the nipple that Azula missed to heal herself. Azula eventually relents, “Fine, you’re free to do whatever you want with Aiwei. I have to be there though.”
Nuwa hugs Azula with joy and kisses her cheek. Azula returns an unsatisfied glance before she pushes Nuwa against a tree and starts making out with her. Azula’s hand slips into Nuwa’s short dress and gently fingers inside her pussy.
Nuwa feels hot. Since she is close to Azula’s wound, there’s no doubt that the superheated air is also heating her up. However, her soul tier is too high to be affected by this minor discomfort. The main reason she feels hot is that Azula suckled on her nipple and is now fingering her pussy. She puts up some token resistance, “Hnng, Zul.. HAAhn, Aiwei.. Mmffh.. Waiting.. Ooh right there!”
Azula fingerbangs Nuwa rapidly at the spot she reacts the most. Feeling the rhythmic thrusting of the fingers on her g-spot, Nuwa slowly twitches with mini-orgasms before screaming with an o-face and squirting like a sprinkler. Azula lowers Nuwa’s spiritual body’s dress during her orgasm so that she gets her juices all over the inside of it.
The skirt on the dress is short, just halfway down her thighs, so it’s easy to see Nuwa’s vaginal juices running down her legs. Azula smirks and teleports Nuwa back to Aiwei. Sensing a slight chill between her shaky knees, Nuwa opens her eyes. She realizes that Azula brought them back to Aiwei. He’s sitting down staring at the juices dripping down her thighs and the juices dropping from her vagina directly onto the ground from between her thigh gap.
Nuwa loses focus on her suppression of [Acting]. Immediately, her demeanor changes from flustered to confident as she puts her hand under her skirt, makes a squelching sound, and slowly brings her wet hand up to her mouth. She spreads her fingers out such that the slightly sticky juices make webbed strings, before licking each finger individually in an extremely erotic manner.
Aiwei nosebleeds and nearly cums on the spot inside his pants, despite knowing that she’s ‘lying’ in some manner. Nuwa deactivates her [Acting] as she licks her fingers and adorably snorts with a blush towards Azula. She still finishes licking her fingers just to get clean though.

Azula snorts back seeing how much Nuwa is tempting Aiwei. Nuwa gives her puppy dog eyes and sits down a respectable distance from Aiwei. Azula sits down as well and gives a pointed look towards Aiwei, who shivers slightly. They have a pleasant conversation about casual topics and exit the Spirit Realm.
After they get in bed, Azula pushes down her libido and refuses to fuck Nuwa’s pussy despite Nuwa giving her the ‘I’m horny’ signals. These include Nuwa casually brushing past her crotch, rubbing their nipples together, and drawing circles on her skin while whining. Nuwa is actually very horny since she hasn’t had a dick inside her pussy all day. She orgasmed twice, once from anal and once from fingering. None of those included a dick in her pussy!
Azula doesn’t want to fuck Nuwa’s pussy because she’s worried that she will lose control, causing her to disturb the fetus, and she also wants to starve Nuwa’s pussy out of revenge. ‘Let’s see how long she can resist before she begs me or if she finds someone else to relieve the itch for her! Let’s see if she can stay trustworthy..’

The next day Nuwa wakes up again to surprise buttsex, and cries out loud in pain. After that ordeal passes, she looks at Azula with aggrieved eyes as she sucks her own breast milk to heal. Azula caves and treats her tenderly while apologizing for causing so much pain.

Team Avatar with the addition of Mai and Zuko are all packed up. Toph and Dan are also ready to make a trip between all the battlelines. Nuwa goes to see them off with a slight limp. She had more pain this morning than last time, because she wasn’t allowed to heal during the sex.
Aang cries loudly as he hugs Nuwa and promises that he won’t let her down. The rest of the group is more calm and not as emotional. Mai and Zuko have been best friends with Nuwa most of their life, so they’re fairly calm.
It’s similar to the feeling of being around someone so long that one can imagine the person still by one’s side, spiritually, even while separated. They’ll still be in touch, anyway. Toph is excited to finally get out of the Palace and do some fighting, while Dan is excited to go on his first mission on behalf of his Mistress.
Appa takes off towards the battlelines where Team Avatar will drop off Dan and Toph. Nuwa, Azula, Ty Li, Iroh, and Kuei watch as Appa fades into the distance. Nuwa wonders what sort of exciting adventures they’ll have.
Iroh heads back to his therapy sessions. Ty Li seems to be sizing up Kuei since Dan isn’t around to ride her anymore. Nuwa heads back to the Palace with Azula to get something to eat.

Nuwa scowls at a bruised and battered Long Feng kneeling in chains as she sits on Azula’s lap. He had just been dragged in, along with another kid in chains, interrupting her public make-out session with her lover.
The Dai Li agents passed a report to Azula, who read it with Nuwa silently.
Nuwa stands up arms akimbo, “You dare to trick a child to help you escape, Long Feng? You’ve got your guts back I see! What were you planning to do when you got out, huh? Brainwash more cronies?”
Long Feng cringes each time Nuwa ends a sentence and looks at her with abject terror. “No.. no.. I am a reformed, kindhearted citizen with the lifelong goal of repaying the city of Ba Sing Se. This.. this.. kid here. It was his idea to take me out for some exercise.”
Azula starts laughing at how pathetic the situation is. The kid had been lured by promises of an imaginary secret stash of money from Long Feng. The rapport he built with Long Feng was nearly nonexistent seeing as Long Feng forgot his name when he tried to pass the blame on him. Iroh looks at the kid with disappointment and resolves himself to do more 1v1 therapy. Then again, the kid seemed more scared of Iroh’s therapy than being in chains, so maybe he wasn’t after the money and just wanted to escape.
For the past few months, Long Feng wasn’t put in a prison. He was let out as a punching bag and servant to be used by the rehab patients. Most of the time, he was escorted, but he seemed to have connived a way to talk to this kid privately.
Nuwa sighs and says, “Take him to the prison. Leave the kid with Iroh.”
Ty Li is not paying attention to any of the proceedings as she squishes Hummy’s cheeks together. Kuei is sitting on the side making heart eyes at Ty Li. Azula is sitting at the head of the table domineeringly, but not doing anything, while Nuwa seems to be taking over the decision-making responsibilities of the monarchy from Azula’s lap.
No one complains about this except for nobles though, because ever since Nuwa came, the invasion lines have been pushed back due to a stronger military, the commoners are happier with more food, and the merchants are happy with new smuggling routes orchestrated through Nuwa’s intricate use of Order personnel and Fire Nation spies.
The only ones that are upset are the Beifong parents and crooked nobles. The Beifongs were initially OK with Toph having a big role because of the political clout and fact that she wouldn’t necessarily be fighting if she was that high up in the military.
Eventually though, they hear about a scandal involving Toph at the barracks. One time, she dropped by some earthbending recruits in training. As she watched them, she set her eyes on a good-looking man named Haru. She calls Haru over and asks if he’s a virgin in front of the whole barracks.
Haru knows that Toph is the Supreme Commander of the Earth Military since they’ve been briefed about her visit by their superior officer. He forces himself to respond yes truthfully simply out of the discipline that had been drilled into him. Toph puts on a big smile after hearing the confirmation, ties him up with metal, hoists him over her shoulder, and enters a nearby tent.
The whole barracks went quiet before one friend of Haru’s started cheering. Then, the whole camp started cheering with jubilation and broke out into a spontaneous party. Needless to say, the Beifong parents were not happy about this and decided to follow Toph around to reign her in.
The crooked nobles aren’t happy with Nuwa since they’ve discovered that their heirs are regularly being crippled or killed in the military and their businesses are being outperformed by some strange alliance of good nobles and the Water Nation businesses. What’s worse is that whenever a crooked Earth Nation noble tries to defect to the Fire Nation, their own servants already know what they’re planning and capture or kill them with mysteriously strong helpers!
They have no clue what’s going on! They live in fear of being gutted in their sleep by their own servants!
In fact, this phenomenon is the result of actively involving the Order with the affairs of the government and using the Spirit Realm as a powerful information network. As long as an enlightened person exists in a certain province, they can deliver information to and fro with ease. With Nuwa holding the absolute advantage in information, she can dominate the warfront with a few orders from the Palace. Moreover, Dan’s bloodbending functions as a means to control noble’s servants to “betray” them at crucial moments.
This means of information warfare is basically cheating, because it’s very rare for a corrupt hedonist Earth noble to be able to hold the loyalty of an enlightened person. There certainly wouldn’t be many enlightened people who sought to wage information warfare on behalf of the Fire Nation, which is the path of imbalance. Piandao, Jeong Jeong, Iroh, Azula, and Nuwa are all from the Fire Nation, but are plotting against it for their own reasons, mostly to do with balance and ending the war.
Team Avatar writes regularly to Ty Li about their adventures. Once, they crashed in a swamp and fought off catgators before finding a tribe of swamp-dwelling waterbenders. Katara was very excited to learn that there are more waterbenders other than in the North Pole. She even studied plantbending under Huu, an enlightened elder of the tribe.
He believes that all living things in the world are spiritually connected and the conduits for that connection are the roots of the banyan-grove tree. Therefore, he dedicates his life to protecting the banyan-grove tree from harm. Nuwa recognizes that this tree is some Buddhist variation of a World Tree. In Legend of Korra canon, Korra can sense events happening all over the world by using her spiritual body to connect to the World Tree.
Nuwa immediately writes to Katara to meet up with Huu and speak in the Spirit Realm about the state of world balance. She invites him to an Order meeting where she tells him that the World Tree may be desecrated in the future by an ambitious Earth Nation if the Order doesn't play a more active role in preventing war. She asks him to preach his love of nature within the Earth Nation and leave the protection of the tree to the tribe.
Nuwa hopes that balancing out the technological revolution with a nature-loving faction would not lead to a scenario in which weapons of mass destruction are used wantonly in war like in Legend of Korra. She understands that they will definitely be developed, but she hopes that those who use them are looked at with disgust and hatred.
Katara and Mai are six months along, so that comes with its own whole slew of problems, ranging from picky appetites to inappropriate horniness to cranky moods.
Nuwa is also three months along in her pregnancy and is eating a lot more than she normally does. Azula only carried on with the brutal buttsex for a few weeks and since then their relationship improved greatly. They act even more lovey-dovey with each other than before. Azula’s Heart chakra is still leaking, but the wound is now only the size of a pinhole.
Aiwei, Nuwa, and Azula have become good friends. Azula has yet to ask deeper personal questions to Nuwa, but in the presence of Aiwei, who sees through all lies, she knows that Nuwa will answer truthfully when the time comes to ask, which sets her Heart at ease. The main factor that healed her Heart though, was Nuwa’s constant attention and actions which convey her apologies. Azula’s Heart had to slowly feel Nuwa’s sincerity to believe in her.
Nuwa whispers in Azula’s ear as she retakes a seat on her lap, “Will you let me have sex with Long Feng if it involves killing him?”
