Chapter 80 – Strange.
Today we have been traveling for three days, after full day we left the forest and started following a dirt road, it was a scary moment since we were in an open field and we were vulnerable.
But even though I was very scared of what could happen, my aunt said that I could calm down that nothing would happen, it seems that few people travel that way, so we will not find anyone on the way.
Even if she says that I am still suspicious, after what happened in the village, I will never act calmly again in these situations that make me vulnerable.
I couldn't do anything even though I was scared, I just stayed with Lucy and continued the trip, she was calmer than I thought she would be.
No human beings or other types of monsters were appearing, so my concern was disappearing over time, I was able to continue the journey calmly after that.
"Listen, we have been walking for many days, I think we are far enough from that place, we will find someplace to stay here, then we wonder if we travel to another place or stay here." My aunt stopped the cart and got off the horse.
After she got off the horse, each person took their own suitcase and we entered the middle of the forest, again we would live inside a forest, elves really like that, right?
'Leaving that aside, are we really far enough?' We have already traveled for three days, but we were walking, the distance we covered was not much, I still think we should travel further.
Even though I thought of it this way, I couldn't go against my aunt's orders, so I went ahead of her side into the forest.
Some people were left behind, they were charged with hiding the cart somewhere so as not to be found since it could not be taken into the forest because of its size.
Other people were also tasked with looking after the horses until a place to look after them is prepared.
"Are you going to have somewhere to build a home for us here?" I asked my aunt.
She thought for a moment and said, "I have no idea, but even if I don't, we can create one, can't we?" She held the hilt of her sword around her waist.
Is she crazy? Open a place for us to live just by cutting trees with your sword? This is impossible, I hope she changes her mind, this cannot happen, we will waste a lot of time if we were to cut the trees and vegetation.
Without question, I moved on, having difficulties walking around that place because of the number of roots and plants.########After some time walking, we arrived at a partially open place, and next to it there was also a small lake, very small, but it seemed to be quite deep, I started to think if this was a well of water dug here on purpose.
"It looks good here." My aunt seemed proud to have found this place, but doesn't she realize that this place is too small?
"There are a lot of people, it won't fit everyone here, we will have to sleep all huddled in this place, there is no space for anything." I tried to change her mind, but it didn't help.
"As I said before, we have our swords for this." She winked at me and looked satisfied, she wanted it from the beginning, didn't she?
Maybe she thinks cutting these trees with a sword is some form of training? I'm not sure about that, but I think that training is different from doing that, I don't remember doing training like that.
'Well, I can't do anything' I gave up and put my bag there on the floor, I wanted to rest for a while, so I sat on the floor and Lucy sat next to me right after, she also looked tired.
The water we were drinking during the trip was almost running out, so we were a little lucky that there was a well here.
"Are you thirsty? Let's drink water over there, everything should be fine." The water looked very clean, so there was no problem for us to drink, I don't think it will do us any harm or cause some kind of intoxication.
We approach the lake, or rather, the well. I realized that the water was very clean, it was so clean and I could see my hand if I put it in the water, it was crystal clear.
But it also made me curious, even though the water was crystal clear, I couldn't see the bottom, everything was dark, so this well was very deep. I don't know if I should worry about that.
"Drink fast, I have to help my aunt." I hurried Lucy a little, and then she started drinking the water. I had drunk it before, so I was sure the water was normal, it didn't taste strange.
"Look." Lucy stopped drinking the water and then looked admiringly at the well.I looked at the well looking for what had left her so amazed, and after searching a little more, I found fish swimming around, they were small fish, but they were enough of them, they seemed to be coming from the bottom.
Damn, is it possible to have fish in a well? Certainly, there is something more under this water, better not to move this well too much, I have the feeling that something strange can come out of here at any moment.
Maybe it's just crazy of me, but even so, after Lucy finished drinking water, I got out of there and went back to my aunt's side as fast as I could.
