One week off The First Great Game (July 7 – 11) – and free chapters of a different story

Hi guys. Sorry for the late notice. I'll be on vacation all week, so no chapter until July 14. Also I forgot to mention:

1. The audio for book 3 is available now.

2. The ebook for book 6 is available July 10. But the pre-order is up now.

I'll stick both links in the author note. Also! If you are desperate for more story, you can check out my Patreon for the week, where I'll be posting a totally new, as yet unpublished story called Descending Dragon. I'll make it public so you can read for free.

This one isn't harem, it's more like...progression fantasy? 1st person POV. A little bit Diablo, a little bit Deadwood, a little bit I don't know what the fuck. I'll enthrall you with the hastily made blurb below. Have a good week!

Descending Dragon - synopsis

Sam Hardin is dying. Doc said it was his lungs, but five years ago they told him he’d have a few years, maybe a few months, and he's still alive.

Maybe it’s because his father needs him to keep their inn from ruin. Maybe it's his small, frontier town that'd fail without him. Either way, he wakes up coughing at dawn and works until sunset, a dutiful ghost, a walking corpse, just too damn stubborn to die.

Then one day Sam's only friends go down to the abandoned mine at the edge of town. They don't ask him to come, they don't even tell him, probably because they know what he’d say. His friends go down, but they don't come out.

The ‘Delve’, as the mine’s known, is famous. People travel for miles hoping to find some buried treasure or ancient artifact, thinking to come out rich beyond their dreams. The town of Tristwood sells them hope and supplies with false smiles and encouragement. Thing is: the mine is a deathtrap. Not one ‘rube’ in Sam’s eighteen years has come out alive. And no one in the town of Tristwood is brave or stupid enough to help find his friends. No one, that is, except Sam.

So he descends. But the Delve isn’t truly a ‘mine’, nor is it abandoned. It's a crucible of the soul, and there are secrets there far older than Tristwood. Evil lurks in the shadows and cracks of a forgotten world, waiting, plotting, corrupting those too weak to resist…evil, and power too.

With the help of a talking mace, and an ancient creature of legend, Sam must descend into a forgotten hell. He must rise and become something not seen in this world for a thousand years, something there are no words left in the tongues of men even to describe. He must become something more than human, or else lose all he has ever loved.

All a dying man has left to risk is his soul...
