Chap 93: first S rank gate
[JJK world-main host:Takumi/clone body:Takichi]
Sat in his house, Takumi and his clone bodies are set for the new gate.
[Random dungeon key]
"Are you sure ?"
"Heck yes, we just go in and out before my fiancee gets home."
It was just them at Takumi's shop on this day; he also asked Tojiko to let him out of his chains.
"do you have to ?" Tojiko asks with concern. He can see that she isn't fond of letting out of the chain.
"do you want my family to know you're keeping me in chains ?"
Reluctantly, she has to take it off him. And as luck would have it, she is called out for a job and won't be back for a good while.
-End of flashback-
Takumi even made sure to close the shop for the whole day, he wanted to clear a gate using his own body for a while now. And with the dungeon key, it provided him with a perfectly good chance.
Being at home all day, Takumi can just use the time do research and crafting his jujutsu. Living by that routine is fine, but every once now and then he would like to go out. He makes sure to bring some puppets with him, all stored inside the inventory. Standing up, he had his Rabadon's death cap and Boots of Swiftness to increase his stats.
Passing the blue light doorway. They were standing on some gravel road. The The scenery around them was that of a green bamboo forest on both side of the path.
[Gate challenge - Demon slayer ( S rank difficulty) ]
[Challenge: defeat Tsugikuni Yoriichi ]
Just as he was able to read the challenge, she appeared.
With the sound of wooden sandals clicking against the gravel.
A tall woman with fair skin, maroon eyes, and long spiky hair with red tips kept in a ponytail. With a burning red mark resembling the raging fire of her breathing style, she wore a red haori over a very pale orange-colored nagagi kimono with a black umanori-styled hakama.
All of her feminine features were strapped under the fabric of her clothes; the only thing that visually set her from her male version was her hip. Which was enhanced by the cloth belt wrapped around it, making her waist more pronounced.
Carrying the Nichirin Sword that Takumi regconized at the left side of her waist, he also see her sporting the distinguished hanafuda earrings depicting the rising red sun on both her ears.
"Yeah, i'm getting cooked bro." Takumi could feel a cold chill rising through his spine.
His body unintentionally tensed up as the strongest person in Demon Slayer was about to approach him.
She isn't a real one because this is only a dungeon, but just a mimic of her can cause great pressure on him and his clone body.
Being someone that even Muzan feared, and for good reason. Yoriichi is the most powerful Demon Slayer to have ever existed. Not to mention being the one who created the first ever Breathing Style, Sun Breathing.
She stopped walking when reached an appropriate distance from the two of Takumi and his other bodies.
"Kay, i think we might have a chance." Takumi knew the odds were low, saying it out loud. He wanted to hype himself up; this was his first ever S rank gate afterall.
It'll be just him, even when he is very much outclassed. This is an opportunity to test his skill; Takumi would face her alone and use his skill and some items for the most part. He restricted himself from using other things like his Telekinesis.
Quickly getting himself into the ready stance, he drew a katana and placed it around his hip. The thousand demon dagger glow in purple curse energy as he transfered into it to raise some power.
Takichi summons his stand, The World, ready to jump in at any point. Takune transforms into his rider form, and they stand further at the back. They will not intervene unless necessary.
Yoriichi, showing a sign of respect, Bowed as she took her blade in hand for a battle that could begin.
Yoriichi is the first to attack, unsheathing her katana. The gap between them was closed before Takumi could blink.
A purple aura covered his body as Takumi sidestepped a single slash. In a second of movement, he was able to dodge it with the added speed from his boots. Takumi's face curled into a weak smile.
[Satsu no haido]
This is a martial art that uses negative emotion to increase user power; though it is used for a more aggressive type of attack but he is still able to utilize it in a defensive way by sensing and boosting his existing stats.
"Ha ha ha...I can do this." He said while a hand held his hat down from being flown off.
Her expressionless face, from a distance, could be mistaken as solemn or aloof. Turned serious suddenly, under his eyes; Takumi can see it before having to roll away from multiple wind slashes.
Now, Yoriichi's eyes are not as gentle as usual; it has changed to the eyes of a swordswoman and with the demon slayer marks on her forehead. It gives off an image of the 'Devil' to anyone who looks upon her.
She moved in a blur so fast that Takumi almost didn't have time to react.
Sun breathing, 1th form.
*Clang!*
She quickly swung her swords at perfect times; her steps were fast and smooth. Bringing in fiery light of red and gold toward Takumi.
*Clang!*
At the very first strike, his hand shake from slash she made. Bright hot flame sparks when their sword came into contact.
He knew right then and there, how powerfull she was. Yoriichi moves to perform the next attack.
In the small window he has to react; Takumi sinks his body in liquid shadow. Dodging waves of slashes, just a moment passed when he shot out, flying from the darkness of his own pool of shadow.
Stepping to one side, she avoids his body. As Takumi was in the air, rolling like a saw with blade in hand, passing by Yoriichi; she had her Nichirin blade above her head, swinging a horizontal slash.
*slash*
*Clang*
A resounding clash reverted as Yoriichi then changed the trajectory of her slash, moving it in time to deflect Takumi a couple of times.
Takumi landed on his feet; immediately, they went to clash again. His blade, which seemed broken as its edge, was made out of fragmented pieces rather than a fully made sword down to the hilt. Which is the only solid part, Takumi grunts as he crosses the blade with Yoriichi. Unable to parry the amount of attacks coming his way, some of her hit landed.
*clash* *crash!*
Right at his neck and chest, her sword which should be able to cut into his flesh got stopped by a blue shield. Which held for only two strike before breaking apart.
Backing away, he realized it by now. The gap in their swordsmanship, she is a whole league above him. The only reason he isn't a thousand pieces by now is his usage of different skills and his special sword. The thousand demon dagger.
Takumi charged toward Yoriichi, she took in one long breath before starting to swing her katana.
Meeting the opponent, Takumi was able to temporary match Yoriichi for speed. Fighting aggressively without stopping, his mix of purple curse energy and corresponded to Yoriichi's sun breathing.
Sun breathing, 2th form: clear blue sky.
She spins her upper body in circles releasing slashes in every direction. Fire arc shot out to Takumi, blinding him with light and causing a sphere of destruction where she stood in the middle.
Dust and leaves were blown all over the area, but Yoriichi didn't react. Or more like she doesn't need to, as her eyes can allow her to perceive other living beings as if they were transparent. She can see where Takumi currently stands.
And he is hurt, badly. Big open wounds all over his body. From his forehead to the shoulders, abdomen, calves, and legs, Takumi was barely dodging the cut by jumping into the shadow.
*cough* 'damn, no mercy even for a man ?' Thanks to the curse energy reinforcing his body, Takumi did not lose any body parts. His green eyes concentrated at the figures behind it.
Yoriichi walks past the dust, looking unscathed. At first glance.
*drip*
Then, from her cheek, a small red streak appeared. Her once flawless cheek was slashed by him.
"Heh, that's good enough. I supposed." Satisfied, Takumi chuckled to himself. In that one small moment, he use his curse technique to halt her momentum long enough for him to land one hit.
*woosh*
Then came the other two.
Something hit Yoriichi on her cheek at an extremely quick speed. Her neck bent and was about to break when she let her whole body follow the force that hit her.
In the moment Yoriichi felt the contact point, she tilted her head, leading her body to spin to reduce the centrifugal force being applied to her head and causing it to disperse out of her body. Saving herself from any harm, Yoriichi landed on both feet, then changed to a stance in seconds; she slashed at where the attack came from but hit nothing.
A dozen humanoid figures jump out, each with a weapon in hand to attack her.
Yoirichi's blade moves to clash with the multiple wooden puppets. They didn't hold much of a candle to her, being cut down in one fell swoop.
The air distorts again; this time, she does not look but focuses on reacting to the smallest changes in the air.
"You gotta be kidding me." Takichi was in awe.
Dodging around, Yoriichi wasn't able to attack them at that distant. Being mostly distracted by The World and the puppets.
The World is a stand, only a stand user can see another stand. Yet, she can still dodge every attack The world is throwing at her.
A barrage of powerful punches and kicks unleashed upon her, with force behind it strong enough to wreck a building, but it was not able to hit her at all.
