Chap 74: last wave 1
"So we are looking at the last wave ?" The gruft old woman speak, her eyes trained through a pair of binoculars.
Six figures traveling in the desert sand, all heading toward the group direction. Stopping roughly only a couple of miles away. Cover in a strange sandstorm.
The stardust crusader got woken up early in the day, even before the sun got its first glimpse through the horizon. Their unexpected arrival took everyone by surprise, creating a tense atmosphere and putting the group on edge as they tried to assess the situation.
The empress, Horus, geb, Justice, and Hangman. According to the information they gained.
"Good, save us the trouble of finding them." Polnale was more than happy to face her brother's killer.
"Wait, something feels off about this." Kakoyrin
"Oh come on, it's obvious what their plan is. They can't send one at a time anymore, so they'll send all of them to us now."
"While that could be the case, we'll still need to keep our guards up." Kakoyrin interjected. "We lack sufficient intel about their stand while they have all they need to know about us."
"But why now ?"
"Because we know where Dio's mansion is." The old Jojo enters the conversation.
She told the crusader about how they found their hideout; it was in a city run by an order of beggars. And right through them that they found where Dio hides.
"They're moved!" She shouted, trying to find them, "two of them suddenly disappeared." They all go into full alert.
"I'll go to the front door." Polnale said before speeding into action.
"I'll follow her." Avadol raced behind her, assisting Ponale.
*crash*
A loud boom of something heavy dropped through the roof of their base. Kicking up dust and sand everywhere.
"HOLLY SHIET!" Yelled the old woman in a dramatic way.
Opening his eyes, Takichi saw a huge chunk of glacier poking down their base. There was a slight tremor shaking the room and trusting her intuition. Josano grabbed Takichi by his hip and ran, just before another hit was dropped into their base.
"Old hag, you go with Kakoyrin. We'll deal with them in pairs." She said to them as she ran.
Hopping right out of the balcony, she summons Star Plantium to ram her fist through the wall to grind their fall to a stop.
The surrounding atmosphere became intense and chaotic as the battle began with them landing first blood.
Everyone was scattered from it: Avadol and Polnale, The old Jojo with Kakoyrin, himself, and Josano.
He turns to the sand path behind him, but his vision is obscured by the windy sandstorm.
'This ain't no sand storm.' His inner thoughts already know about it.
The brash schoolgirl beside him also seems to realize it by now. Using her large frame, she stands in front of him.
"Be careful; this is an effect made by an enemy stand." Keeping her eyes out, with star platinum ready to punch the unliving out of the next thing that appeared.
"You and your Jojo bloodlines have been quite the trouble for lord Dio." A voice belongs to an elderly male coming from behind the wall of sand.
*whoos*
*Bang*
Jojo's stand threw a punch at the slightest movement to hit nothing but the air. Despite this, she knew there was something just a moment ago. Narrowing her eyes, she scans the area and then moves in a burst of speed.
Star finger!
Her stand's finger extended out with force, hitting a figure through the cover of sand. Sending them to the ground.
Quickly following her moves, Takichi sends his stand to capture the enemy. Yellow slime wrapped itself around and bound the person in a tight hold.
"*hueh!* how ? How did you see me through my camouflage ?" Spitting out a mouthful of sand, the old man croaked.
"Your stand can create a cover in these sands, but its effect is only for the human eyes. Not for the enhancement of a stand."
She wave a hand pointing to Star Plantium's eyes, so the person looking closely can see it dilated like a high-end camera zooming in and out.
"Keep this old man around, we'll be taking him for interrogation." She said to him.
"Keep me ? Heh, you morons wouldn't be able to tell your own death when it's staring you in the face. If you think the likes of you can take all of us out, you're dead wrong. You lot will all die a tragic death; your life is just an obstacle that should be removed for our lord's path." The old man spat, his voice filled with devotion. "The rest of your precious friend will die under the hand of my daughter-"
Takichi sends his stand to cover the old man's mouth from his memories. This shouldn't be all of them, there's still one more stand user.
'Maybe that is what he talking about.' The name of this stand user is too blurry to remember but he knows that they have a stand that is a black hole. 'So i need to clear them all to complete my quest.'
"Let's just get to the others." He tells Josano. She nodded, acknowledging his intention, and continued their venture.
-----
"It would seem this is your end, Polnale." Talking in a slow, monotone voice, a woman in rags speaks to Polanle and Avadol. "Just like your brother, oh i should have played with him more."
Both girls are standing in a dried puddle of their own blood in the sand, breathing in sharp, uneven gasps.
Avadol's face is flushed with effort, sweat dripping from their brow and glistening down her skin. But besides being tired and having some bruises, she is fine for the most part.
Polnale could feel her chest rising and falling rapidly, the adrenaline pumping in her heart slowly losing its effect and making her more tired as blood continued to drip out from her wounds.
"Damn it, stay still Polnale. Don't let her words get to your head." Her words of warning weren't getting through the French woman's thick skull at all.
It was also because of it that led to her current state. Looking with a pair of eyes that is wide and intense, flicking between her opponent and their surroundings, she was strained but still trying to be focused.
"Screw it, don't get in my way. I'm going to kill her, cette merde va mourir!!" Her shouted, her slightly unsteady stance got straightened up.
Knees bent, she calls the fourth Silver chariot as her feet then makes a full sprint at Hangman. Forcing Avadol to follow behind to cover for her friend.
