Chap 67: not saying goodbye
Takune awoke due to a noise came from above him, coming up to investigate. The place don't have any lock, and he didn't get restrained in his room either. They were trusting enough off him to let him roam freely in their home, but he can not leave the premise.
It was only a day or two since his desertion from S.H.O.C.K.E.R and today is the first day he live in their base. Located in somewhere his device can't pick up, he found out that the rider girls live inside a resplendent modern house. His room is in the basement, with the girls living on the seccond floor.
He went to the living room, following the source of the noise. He saw a young woman moving around in a haste, red hair that was cut boyishly short. Shaved down at the sides, with the top left a couple inches long.
His eyes following her as she walked around in her baggy pants and bright green tank top, still ignorant of his presence.
"Hi." He said in a whisper.
She flinched and turn around sharply, only to see a boy almost her age. But visibly looking a bit younger side, her green eyes scan him from head to toe before speaking in a relaxed but low tone.
"You're that new rider, Neo." She said, reaching out to him with a calloused hand. Which he takes with a bit of hesitation.
"Early morning workout ?"
"Not really, but i do have a plan to head out somewhere."
"I don't think i have your name."
"Yeah, the other didn't introduce me to you did they ? I'm Shiori, but you can call me kamen rider V3." She flash him with a small grins as she introduce herself.
'V3?' The names does ring a bell in his mind, she's the third rider after the duo of Souko and Hayaka.
He engage starts to talk with her, Shiori was just a normal girl, a daughter of some foreign country's diplomat. She lived a normal life before she lost her only family member to S.H.O.C.K.E.R
Her father was killed by a bomb when traveling with her in their limousine, she was found by Souko and Hayaka. And with a lot of convincing they argee to help giving her augmented power like them. From that point on, she vowed to destroy that organization.
Takune also explain his back story, that he was a orphane that got kidnapped and was forced into the weapon by their hands. He omitted from telling her his true origin and when she question the method that they used on him he just side tracked the conversation. That seems to causing an unforeseen results of her misunderstanding. From it, Shiori does try to say someething that could comfort him but he pays it no mind. He played it off and was about to ask where she planning to go.
Their small talk lasted only for a few moments more before it was interrupted by a sound of shuffling from the other room. Shooting a quicl glance he saw her body tensing up, a small reaction so small no human can regconize it unless they have augmented eyes like him. Her action seem like a child afraid going out at night, too afraid of upsetting their parents.
"It's been a nice chat but i have to get going now." Quickly, she open a door and went outside.
Takune follow her to the window beside the door to see she already hop on to her bike. Starting it with a screeching sound of tire burning on the asphalt foundation and pipe shoot out hot flame as she sped away.
He watch the woman going at high speed, the reasson and location to her action has already apear in his mind.
It was simple, she's going to rush into their base alone. Which is stupit to do such things alone, but he can't blame her.
However, he being able to empathize with her does not mean he would argee to letting her just rushing in head first to die alone. He knews the danger hidden in that headquarters, turning around he went to wake up Souko and Hayaka.
---------
"She what ?!" Souko screamed, flipping her blanket over as she jump out of bed.
It's only early morning, she hadn't wake up properly and there's already a problem waiting for her.
"Pretty sure she's gone, her bike is not there. I also tried reaching out to her, no answer." Hayaka said, rushing down stair to her bike as she put on her jacket.
"Great, so it'll up to us three to confront an entire organization." She spoke with irritation, this is not how she want to do things.
Sliding her arm into a long trench coat, "wait, what about him ?" Just now she remembered about Takune.
"Oh the boy ? Well we can't let him out so i called our friend from the anti-Shocker unit before hand. Someone will watch him while we're gone." Her confident voice ease Souko as they went to the cyclone bikes.
Sounds of revving of engines could be heard on the road, cutting corners and going at a constant speed that the other vehicles couldn't keep up with. Takeshi paid no mind as she along with Hayaka turn and swerve their bikes on the highway.
The two are trying to catch up with Shiori, riding at the highest speed possible. And at this speed where no human eye or camera can detect them, Souko and Hayaka began to transform.
The air carry green energy to warp them in their green armor, with mechanical clicking and huming of the wind.
The views of the The high-rise city gradually disappeared behind them and slowly turned into a scene of a sandy beach in the sunshine. A small crowd of people playing in the beach didn't notice them, thinking it was just some normal vehicle that runs on the road like any other.
They didn't stopped, but speeding up even more, twisting the handlebar to the gas. The cyclone tire turn faster to the riders command.
The two cyclone following their rider, have their own transformation. With multiple gass pipe burst with fire, the platting change to suit in giving them more movement speed.
The roads of the beach end with metal raillings but they just adjust their motorbikes jumps up passing the obstacle in their way, reaching through even the sand and dashing into the water with a loud and splashing explosion.
Onlooker watch in shock and awe, some people of the crowd start to stand up and gather around and see what's going on. Suprising them, water shot out of the sea, onto the shore blinding alot of them, the few who didn't get salt water in their eyes can barely see two large white and green blur moving on the face of the ocean water.
