Chap 42: project rider Neo
*click* pressing a button to start her recorder.
She sat in front of a wide console covered in monitors and equipment that hums quietly. The head doctor is studying through a one-way glass window that spans the length of the room. The glass allows them to observe without being seen, providing a view into a separate, dimly lit room where an experiment is taking place.
"Test day 34: weapon resistance." Her voice travel from the mic to everyone in the clean white room.
The scientist, a woman in a lab coat with white short hair, scribbles notes on a clipboard, her eyes narrowing as she watches the test subject through the glass. Fixing her glasses, her hand adjusts the settings on a nearby control panel, occasionally glancing at the monitors displaying real-time data.
A soft, steady beep emanates from one of the machines, syncing with the subject's vital signs, which are being recorded for further analysis. The atmosphere is quiet but tense, filled with the subtle sounds of clicking keyboards and the low hum of electronics.
On one end of the room she's watching is him, augmemt batta NEO or just NEO for short.
*click*
From the other end, a group of S.H.O.C.K.E.R fighter walked out, equip in high grade battle armor in head to toe, each wielding an modify A.K rifle drum mag with armor piercing round.
They stood in an half circle surrounding him, weapon aim waiting for the signal to fire.
"Begin."
The moment those word echo from the mic of the room. Every single one has their gun fire bullet like a rain storm towards him, with the rate of fire that an human eye could only register as a red line in the air, they are metal bullet that was made to shoot straight through a tank and the person behind it.
But none was able to make the slightest dent in her creation. They din't bounce off him, they din't make any sparks or exploded, no they stopped completely once they came in contact with his armor.
The some shooter change their target once they notice NEO won't move. The barrel of their gun move from the chest area to the eyes, the result were the same. No damaged, in fact fot the duration of the entire 3 hour test, with 10 fighter, firing at the rate of 250 round per minute. Totaling at around 45.000 bullet fired that did not cause even one scratch.
She noted down the detail, during the test time, the shooter try alternating angle of fire, shooting at the back of the head, shooting at the joints in the armor hand, back of the knee.......and even at his private part.
No sign of damaged.
They all collectivly stop shooting to reload, their barrel glowing hot red from the nonstop usage of the weapon.
In the place NEO stand, is a wall of smoke and on the floor is pave with broken bullet shell.
"My turn." Running out to those that are nearest to him, the first spin kick he use to disarm all of their weapons. Spining around again he kick six of them down to the floor.
Both arm spread to the side, he tackle two more down. One standing next to him take aim, he grab the one gun barrel pointing to his head and twisted it, sending a punch straight through the gut of the grunt and into the one behind them.
All ten woman were taken down, 20 seccond recorded.
Hearing another command from the doctor voice, panel of the room open and let in tanks to enter. The wall and floor began to flicker, the environment of the room was change to a battle area in the desert.
Neo was standing on a hill away at least several kilometer from his next objective, from his visor scan through each of the coming war machine, he detected one M1A2 american model, one german model tank, one russian model and one more that he wasn't able to pick up on. Forming a spear head formation, they all travel with the abrams tank at the front, the other two beside it as they're on the track to face him.
The hub in his helmet gave designation to each of them as Unit 1, 2, 3.
Seeing the change to his place, Takune received a com message, this was a diffirent test. They want to see how well he can perform against modern weapon. But for the head director, who's watching with enjoyment in her own monitor, this was an just entertaining show for her. She want to see destroy the tanks.
Neo slowly get down one both hand into a running position, the head doctor watched on with interest as he take off blasting sand below his feet with each step.
Bending his feet and putting down tremendous force through his leg. He ran in across the sands, shortening the distant for them to snipe him off. Picking up his motion two of the three tanks machine gunner spotted him started to fire upon visual contact, one 50.cal from the Abrams and one Howitzer of the Panzer shooting 75mm at him from the right as he ran closer.
*rata rata rata rata*
Raising one arm, the hot lead bounce off his arm as their own canon begin to turn while their turret were keeping NEO distracted.
Runing in a zic zac way, making it more difficult for the tanks to keep track on such a fast target.
*Bang*
A loud whisking sound of a flying shell make it through the air as it beside him, the shell coming from the identified german vehicle as Unit 2 in the farthest left. The gunner of it also begin surpressing fire hindering any further movement of him.
Sure the bullets can't damage him but it does make his movememt harder, and in doing so the tanks can aim much better.
NEO make a dash to the nearest tank, which is the Abrams. He chose it to be his target, ignoring any plan to dodge, he came straight at them with full speed ahead. All the machine gunner desperatly to halt his movement, even the tanks track begin to run their track back.
The space that bewteen them was only a few hundred meters but all of it was closed in secconds as the armored man get closer. Right when he was only less than a hundred meter left.
*Bang*
The Abrams shoot right at him, the shell flying in a straight line at him. An explosion rang out the battle field when the it colied with him, making sand, smoke to covered the place the was in.
At this point, all the gunner has ran out of ammo amd have to reload. While the main tank waste no time in aim at the smoke and fire.
*BANG*
*BANG*
*BANG*
The loud whisking from the shells coming to one point, the big explosion from the Unit 1 and Unit 2, 3. They continue to rain hell fire over the place NEO is standing in, in their chance to put him down.
Soon the gunner after realoading rejoin the fire fight in to shoot at the pile of smoke and sand which only cause more to rise up. The heat of each shoot was so intense it glassed the sand of the spot it hit.
*ziiiiii*
Each of the three tanks was steaming with heat by now, they all stop firing by now. Waiting for everything to clear.
*Thoomb*
They all heard a loud thooumb, like a smaller explosion. But nothing has come out of the smoke, none of them were hit by anything.
Suggesting that it could be a mistake, Unit 3 can see the smoke was still there, but something was off, the colum of smoke didn't follow the way the wind blow. Actually it seemed to be against the wind.
*coonggg*
Another sound, this time it was something hard on a steel surface.
They notice it now, he jump out of the smoke and was going to lamd on to one of them. The realization came out was too late.
"Rider punch." A voice muffle behind a mask sounded as he revealed himself.
The Abrams try to help but they were not fast enough. He laned right on the Unit 2 and deliver a punch so strong it broke the entire vehicle in one go. An explosion followed his punch, flame engulf the tanks as the top half of the German tank where it hold the main turret was punch off like a bottle cap. And from that fire is two red orb eyes staring them down inside the flame.
Unit 3 cannon and it's gunner turn to fire at the figure in the flame to have no effect.
A huge shot rang out like a bell, the main cannon of Unit 3 aim at his face but he din't try to move, only winding his hand back before throwing a punch at the shell fluing at him.
*DINGHHHG*
The shell was deflected, it was dejected to the side of a 45⁰ angle from where it should be, behind it's target 40 meters from where it should hit.
And it's target, only staring down at his own first. Where hot steams was coming from the point of impact they made on his glove.
