----------------
It was midnight, he spent alot for the final subjugation ritual in his ten shadows.
Carving the ritual circle onto the ground, the place had a radius of 100 meters of spherical barrier.
Silently chanting every word it added the efficiency of his barrier by 50%. Not just that, he even created a multi-layer barriers with different applications for each of them.
First barrier to separate him from the outside world, it would be bad if anyone intervene in the middle of what he was doing.
Doing this wouldn't be considered outside help, and Takumi was able to raise his odds of winning without doing any fighting or any special abilities.
He spent the majority of his day setting this whole thing up, it wasn't completed until nightfall. Satisfied, he has to be focused, absolutely focused on this, for if one moment was wasted, he would have to remake this whole thing from scratch.
Stabilizing himself in a standing position, Takumi stood in the middle of the circle, breathing out slowly and steadily breath.
He can feel the effect of the second barier activated, a layer of shadow added to the stadium. Dimming any light inside, now Takumi can use his technique with much more ease.
*Fuuuu*
Then, when he was ready, he clasped his hands into fists. He brought them to his front, one above the other, mirroring in position. His right hand hovered over his left.
He murmured the words which would soon seal his fate.
"With this sacred Treasure...i summon."
A massive amount of cursed energy billowed off of him, his shadow rising and spreading. Smoky tendrils rose from the ground in response to his words.
Curse energy leaked out from him, but it did not get any further than the area he had set up; this is from one of his barriers. Simple veil, it acts just like a curtain, just with a twist, that everything inside the veil can't get out until Takumi unsealed this veil himself.
"Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila....." the environment around him gradually turns darker, more than the night sky, just like in his dream.
Animals, lined up in two rows, dogs, toads, deer, birds, and elephants, all of them howl and scream into the night. Hailing the entry of.....her, wrapped in a cocoon, just waiting for him to finish his chant.
"Divine General Mahoraga." the shell began to crack, first from the mouth. He heard a small sound of a gasp as she then freed herself. Two giant hands tore the rest of the cocoon, and she appeared.
Takumi stole a breath, his eyes locked onto the divine general herself.
She was very tall, tallest woman he had ever encountered. Standing as a towering muscle woman at 7 feet, she has long white hair, with 6 wings appendages coming out of where her eye socket would be. He noticed she also had black lipstick before moving up to see the eight-pointed wheel floating just above her head.
There are strips of cloth that bound her huge breasts together, sporting black hakama bottoms and a white sash around her waist to cover most of her lower body.
Around her right arm is another set of bandages, warping around a protruding blade. In his eyes, it glowed in a white layer of curse energy.
"That's the reverse curse technique sword. The Sword of Extermination." Takumi mumbled, he eyed her face.
The divine general didn't have eyes but regardless, she is showing a smile directed right at him. A toothy smile, one that he can sense is full of negative emotion.
Mahoraga takes a step towards him, now recognizing Takumi as someone challenging her.
And that gesture uplifts him in a way, an act of acknowledgment. It chased his fear away and raised his spirit up, so he smiled in return.
'She thinks I'm the challenger here ? Heh, alright, I'll show you.' He thought, they both walk toward each other in stride. Thunder cackle above the clouds, illuminating them for a brief seccond.
Neither seemed to be intimidated; their steps stopped just enough at a range where one could send a punch.
Then. Mahoraga threw the first punch.
*Bam!*
Her hand got caught in Takumi's palm, using only one hand. The ground crack under his feet, absorbing some after shock of the punch.
"How about a contest of strength?" He smirked, then threw a right punch of his own.
It landed in her gut, staggering the Shikigami by a step back. But she still has that same smile, looking down at him. Mahoraga and Takumi began to trade blows.
The fists from both of them meet in the middle, making impact waves as they clash.
Like thunder cracking in the cloud, their attack is both as fast and strong as their opponent's, so much so that when the ground shakes, none flinches; they move even faster.
A flash of movement, and another, and another, they keep on throwing their hands. Takumi punches meet with the Shikigami on equal physical strength.
*click*
There it is, the sound of something so small one might not even be able to tell where it came from and mistake it for a background noise.
Takumi however, knew what it was. He immediately sidestepped one of Mahoraga's punches.
And she turned almost instantly with her right hand aimed at him, the sword of Extermination around her wrist.
He ducked a horizontal strike and leaned side-way to the right just a bit, watching the blade move past him.
"Enough playing, Divine dogs." Shirane and Kurona jumped out of his shadow and took a bite at each of her arms.
She didn't react much but was a bit annoyed by this. Mahoraga lifted them up easily, and she was about to slam them like pancakes.
"Max elephant." *plash*
Takumi pressed his palms together and aimed it at her, a powerful stream of water was released. It created a powerful arrow made of water and shot it at Mahoraga's face.
A trick he learns from Sukuna not summoning his Shikigami but their strength and power for him to use. In this case, he uses Max Elephant water as a jet gun to shoot at Mahoraga.
*click*
'Crap, this is too fast. I need to overwhelm her.' Both of Mahoraga's arm got chomped off by his divine dogs, usually this much bitting power needs more curse energy to funnle in but the third barrier kicks in, as dark area gives him and all his summons a stat boost. Thanks to the second barrier, it's effect can even stack.
*crash!* next, a huge Shadowy version of Max Elephant landed on top of Mahoraga causing her to release their grip.
Both his dogs return to shadow; shadow tendrils float and wiggle their way from his back. Forming a pack of a hundred dogs, but these aren't his Divine dogs.
They're partial summons, a lesser version of his Shikigami. No intelligence and no powers, but granted, he can summon as many as he wants.
A swing from Mahoraga brought most of them to the shadow again. She showed no problem dealing with the large number of enemies.
'I'll deal with the sword first.' As positive energy delete negative energy. He needs something with the same pulse to remove it.
"Tranquil deer." He didn't summon the whole Shikigami, only the deer's reverse technique properties.
He rushed in, and Mahoraga held his shadow elephant by the head and crushed it. She saw him coming and took a swing with her right arm, which was exactly what he wanted.
Coating his left fist in the positive energy of his own, Takumi landed a meticulous punch that shattered Mahoraga's Sword.
"Now, Orochi!" Summoning his Great Serpent, it rises from beneath Mahoraga's feet, jaw opening wide and biting down on her chest and arm.
*click* the wheel spun, Takumi eyes narrow as he have to cancel summoning Tranquil Deer.
"Damn it, Would you mind not adapting so fast!" He cursed, leaping right behind and slam his fist hard at Mahoraga's face who has both arm locked up and unable to herself.
*Thwack!* *Bam!*
Right afterward, Orochi let go and dropped Mahoraga. She plummeted to the ground, shaking it as her weight made a huge crater from the fall.
*click*
This is going to be a long fight, he knew that. Which is why Takumi minimized the usage of his own Shikigami. The very point that he summoned them, Mahoraga would try and adapt to their powers.
That's why Takumi could only use them once or twice before Mahoraga adapted to it. Using partial summon, using only their power, that doesn't give the divine general enough information to spin her wheel for a full adaption, but it'll give him just enough of an edge to get out of a situation.
Blocking her punch with his hand, he felt his bone break as she had just adapted to his strength and increased it to a level he couldn't handle.
*crunch* a sickening sound emanate from his arm.
Slightly, but he sees it now. Mahoraga has also changed her size, standing at 11 feet, towering over him. She looked like a giant to him.
Her random attacks now become more precise as she continues to reshape the earth under him; with every step she takes, the reinforced concrete arena shakes and crumbles bit by bit.
'The adaptation is growing even faster now.' He thought of which combination of Shikigami to use next while dodging the onslaught of attacks.
*Augh!!*
Catching him by surprise, she kicked him in the chest. Takumi's body was sent bouncing and rolling through the air as he tried to regain balance. He heard it again.
*click*
This time, he couldn't even react in time as her palm met his back, and she slapped him back down. Takumi hit one of many pillars nearby and hopped down. With much trouble, he managed to make a hand sign for Tranquil Deer as positive energy soon healed his wounded spine and collarbone, and just as he was finishing, she showed up again.
"Max Elephant!" Mahoraga quickly looked at the sky, only to see nothing. A trick made to distract her.
"Ha! You fool. Rabbit escape!" He summons a wall of white rabbits to block her vision.
He's not even sure that rabbit escape can be used on her like this, but if she doesn't need sight, then she must have some type of vision akin to a sorcerer. Only detecting curse and non-curse objects should apply here.
A punch pierced the wall of rabbit, they missed him. Takumi smiled, now knowing his plan worked.
'A little more time.' He reminded himself, sending a shadow version of Orochi to charge at Mahoraga.
The fight went on, with Takumi mostly doing minor attacks, using a hit and run tactic to stall for time. Hours passed before he heard it again.
*click*
'I need to gather most of my curse energy, i can't waste any of it.'
The wheel turned again, and multiple punches broke through his wall; Takumi braced himself as one managed to find his leg and grab hold of it.
Takumi could only brace for impact as he was violently pulled away. The next thing he sees is the ground, then his face is bashed against the floor of some building and some car as the scene keeps on changing.
Mahoraga was using him like a makeshift baseball bat; she beat him against everything she could find.
Enduring the pain, he got close to losing his consciousness several times. But he held on, struggling to make hand sign.
"Toad...and...funeral tiger." Mahoraga then takes one of his hands before tearing it off.
"Aaarrghhj!!!" Screaming in pain, he kick her face, making a small window to escape.
His toad pulls him away from Mahoraga while the Funeral tiger cuts her arm at the same time. Allowing him to be rescued.
His throat spurred blood, his eyes were red, and Takumi was pretty sure he had broken everything in his body. Still, he has to focus, it takes every ounce of his will to stay awake.
'Tranquil deer.' Soon, he felt the relieving effect of its reverse curse technique.
The parts of his arm that were ripped off began to heal, muscle tissues and bone growing back in shape to their body's normal state.
Shakily, Takumi wobble up to a standing position, with his mind in a better condition. He knew his curse energy pool was going to run out soon. Most of his action is too taxing, a grade one wouldn't even spent this much curse energy. But he has to keep going.
Toad is barely keeping up at all, and Funeral Tiger is summoning new Shikigami from all of the deaths of his previous summons. But they're not much helping.
Takumi found out that, yes. It does count when his summon, even partial or fake summons, got killed. Can be reborn by Funeral Tiger. Through, they are time-limited as when he un-summons Funeral Tiger, all of them will be gone.
The divine general, even her ferocious and feral grew increasingly through her adaptation, is able to be overwhelmed by the sheer amounts of dead ghosts like Shikigami attacking her all at once.
But that is also a problem.
*click* *click* *click*
Rapidly, the wheels above her spin. It is a matter of time now before she adapts and makes it out of the swarm.
All of them have become useless now; Max's elephant weight nothing to her; his Serpent cannot trap her in any way; she saw right through his Rabbit Escape, and even his deer's reverse curse energy was nullified. And with his curse energy hitting near bottom, Takumi decided to make a binding vow.
Takumi shall put everything he has left into one final attack.
And if Takumi can't subjugate Mahoraga in that last attack then he'll die anyway.
[Binding vow created]
'This is it, this is my resolve.' Takumi closed his eyes, 'if I can't get this done, then I'm dying anyway. So why not go out, with everything betting on one last try?'
She breaks through the horde, killing every single thing in her way. She must have sensed he was up to something.
"Hey!" She sees Takumi standing right in the open and charging at him.
Her size is now terrifyingly huge. 30 feet tall, one of her palms alone is the size of an elephant. The raging storm in the form of a cursed spirit heading towards him.
He stared back into her eyesless socket, and he did not blink.
From the shadow of himself, Piercing Ox came out to face her. All this time, he left it running in his shadow. Letting the momentum build up over the course of this fight. And now, he finally let it out.
Releasing the bull to run at Mahoraga with full force.
*Bang!!*
His barriers shattered, and not all, the one that contained this place remains. Everything else ? Gone, in one straight line. Everything in that one direction he's looking at was completely removed, now just a rift on the ground.
Mahoraga, for her part, is left in pieces. Obliterated next to nothing, Takumi can't see much left of her.
He got up, obviously not able to stand so he sat on his ass. Staring, eyes wide in bewilderment at the one last thing of the Shikigami.
The wheel.
It got cracked, heavily. Like really broken up, the eight-pointed wheel is missing some outer parts. And various shards had been lost; he guessed it was due to the potency packed up in that strike.
Slowly, now she is going to rebuild herself. But that wouldn't be his last attack.
True, Takumi makes a binding vow for one final attack. He just didn't use it yet, it wasn't from his bull of shadow of the below.
*Rumble*
He left it surpassing the dark cloud, it was the only place with space big enough he could let it roam. Flying slow and deliberate, like a predator pacing just out of sight. The air hung heavy, waiting, charged, followed by a faint glow of blue.
Takumi sink into the darkness, enveloping himself in the realm of shadow. Out of sight, out of range.
Then, all of it. All that his curse energy had left was unleashed. Like a sharp whip cracking and exploding overhead, so loud it seemed the sky had split in two. For a heartbeat, all the world held its breath—then came the rumble, long and low, dragging itself across the sky.
Nue releasing her lighting, the strongest one. Holding most of his curse energy. Coming down in one purple spear made of lighting.
*KRA-BOOM!*
