Chapter 68. Will the herd grow?

"So." I started only for Zeldi to nab the underwear from me to inspect.

I'd not had a proper look at how it was made before as other things had been distracting me.

It primarily would cover where her pussy was underneath her bulk with two big holes for her front legs and another two for the legs just behind them. It didn't have anything for her last four legs as it wasn't needed and instead had a strap that looked to have been broken off that would come up and sit just on her lower back from in the middle of all her legs.

Functional but I could see how it was hard to make attractive. My mind went straight to the micro bikini she'd made just for me.

[I don't even need to get close. I can smell her need from here even though I can tell it was taken off relatively quickly.]

"Oh she is down bad for our Master." Zeldi laughed giving the fabric a sniff before deciding she only somewhat liked the smell. "But regardless of if she is I'm not letting her stay if she stays a thorn in the hoof."

[Agreed.]

"I think it might be best if each of you go to her nest with her." I let out wondering if I was ever going to get it back. Chances are I could just ask Voras for a new pair but there was a little sentimental value in the fact she'd thrown this pair at me first.

"Why?" Zeldi asked.

"Because I think she's a bit of a tsundere." I replied only to get blank looks from both my girls.

Okay that was fair. They wouldn't know what anime was so there was no way of knowing what it is.

"Picture someone who wants something but doesn't quite know how to act to get it so they default to being grumpy." I gave as a description.

[So like a hatchling?]

I tried to defend Voras but I lost my voice. My description was very similar to a child.

"Why can't she just come out and say it." Zeldi asked again waving her new toy around. "Master I'll give you some advice about women, we don't get this wet just because we think someone's cute. This is full on devotion levels of wetness."

[Oh Master fully deserves it. Especially with how many times you have been in a similar situation sister Zeldi.]

Zeldi waved it off neither confirming or denying Tarakona's accusation.

"I think the answer to that is she doesn't feel safe to. At least outside of her nest, and I mean her proper one not the one she has outside." I answered clarifying as Tarakona had mentioned the makeshift one Voras had made for her hunting.

Zeldi just deadpanned back at me. "Riiiight... She doesn't feel safe on land that she literally can't be harmed on, but her nest that is on that same land is a different thing entirely?"

"That I can't answer." I said scratching the back of my neck. "It's more mental I believe. All I'm trying to say is I don't think she's as bad as she makes herself out to be."

[She kidnapped you and then killed you.]

Even mentally I could hear the disappointment in her tone.

[I think we're far past the point of she's not that bad.]

Yeah not going to be able to defend that.

"Look all I want is for this farm to thrive and I believe Voras can help make that happen. Sure she's a little off..."

[Very off.]

"Okay very off. But she does want the same things we want. She just has a hard time saying it out loud."

"Master she's had three days to provide you with silk so we can actually benefit from your store. I would like to say Tarakona and I can but I've seen the way you calculate things when you think we aren't looking. She would be incredibly helpful if she did wouldn't she?" Zeldi argued.

I thought back to when she'd first given me some silk. Five points for single bundle with her saying she could make around one hundred each day. It wasn't even a close comparison even if I combined both Zeldi and Tarakona's products together.

"We would already have the automatic butcher and possibly some type of automatic farm already if she had." I admitted with a sigh.

"That's why you are so keen on keeping her."

She wasn't wrong there. Voras would be incredibly helpful if she had already been giving me her silk. Even if it was a small amount. We were solely using Zeldi's milk to sustain all my shopping right now as Tarakona didn't quite have the laying speed I had hoped she would have. That being said I wasn't feeding her properly as it was mainly whatever she could catch.

"So that's it then." Zeldi said with a nod.

I didn't understand at all.

[You want to keep her still Zeldi? Even after everything she has done?]

"No. I want to use her. She has a long way to go before I ever let her into the herd but I agree with Master that giving her away is detrimental to our future." Zeldi shrugged. "I like having you around Tarakona especially as a big strong Dragon. So having another protector would be great. But I still think Master is not allowed to go close to the boundary until we have given the all clear that she will definitely choose to bring him back."

Tarakona blushed instead of retorting and I filed away that she likes compliments, especially if they involve protecting in some way.

"Then can I ask you both to at least have one conversation with her in her nest. If either one of you still think she can't be trusted then we'll find a way to sell her to someone who won't treat her like crap." I looked specifically at Tarakona as I said this. Zeldi while adorable and trying her best was a little bit of a pushover, like I was. Tarakona on the other hand was going to be more of a challenge for the Arachnid woman.

[Fine. But if I still think she's bad.]

"She goes." I agreed hoping Voras knew exactly what she was about to do and the difficulty it was going to require.

Tarakona nodded, happy with this decision.

"While you're there you may as well finish her quest as well." I offered. If they accepted it would force Tarakona to stay for a bit longer and give Voras more time.

"Her quest?" Zeldi asked tilting her head to the side and causing her ears to flop.

Yes it was adorable.

[She is required to make us three items of clothing with one of them being for breeding purposes.]

Zeldi's jaw dropped open at that but she quickly recovered and started twirling the underwear in her hand around. "So I'm guessing she has started the quest already, hasn't she Master?"

I couldn't help the small blush that took over. "Maybe a little bit."

[At least you didn't mate with her.]

Zeldi rolled her eyes. "Come on then Tarakona. The quicker we go see her the quicker we can make a decision." She then leaned in close and whispered loud enough that I could hear. "Master seems a little pent up. Especially if I certain spider has been teasing him this whole time. If we hurry I'm sure we can make use of these new breeding outfits."

Tarakona flinched and found me looking between the two of them.

[A-agreed. We must hurry. You go first sister Zeldi I just need to. Prepare myself.]

Zeldi giggled before placing the underwear around one of Tarakona's horns. She then found the string that connected her own to her back and shimmied her way out of them. I was greeted with the same red and black lace pair that was oh so tempting.

My mischievous mare calmly plucked Voras's pair off Tarakona's horns and walked up before placing them in my shirt before whispering in my ear. "She may be attractive but just remember. I was here first."

I responded by pulling her into a hug with one arm wrapped around her back while the other traced the curve of her boob. "I won't forget that don't worry. And you were right, I am a little pent up." There was a growl at the end of my sentence that sent a shiver through her spine.

"I'll keep that in mind." She whispered placing Voras's underwear inside my shirt as well before vanishing.

Dam she was a good temptress.

Tarakona eyed me with a look of reluctance before looking down at herself. Unlike the other two she was already naked ever since she transformed. I still didn't know what happened to her dress the Drow made.

[Do you truly believe she can live here with us in harmony?]

The question caught me off guard as I was reaching to retrieve my gifts and froze.

Tarakona just waited until I had my answer.

"Yes. I believe she can but if you have a flexible definition of harmony." I replied.

[Explain.]

"She's broken in a similar way to Zeldi." I started as Tarakona's eyebrows both raised. "Where Zeldi latched onto me straight away because I was a form of safety, Voras has had to create her own safety. In doing so she has become a bit jaded to everything else."

[I wouldn't compare her at all to Zeldi. They are vastly different. How do you see any parallels?]

"Because of how they have approached their situations." I let out a sigh. "Zeldi while I would like to say has had it worse her biggest problem was that she was alone. The moment I arrived most of her problems were solved in quick succession."

[And Voras?]

"Voras has had to solve her problems herself. Without help from anyone else." I answered. "You've seen her eye. Ever thought of why it doesn't heal even on the land?"

Tarakona opened her mouth then closed it. Evidently the thought hadn't ever crossed her mind.

"Apparently it's something a Deed owner can do and from the way she's not surprised it didn't heal probably means it's permanent." I answered. "She's had a Deed owner and no one else to rely on. I doubt she will open up quickly if ever."

[And you still believe she is a good fit for here?]

The question was valid and honestly I couldn't say what the future had in store.

"She has admitted she likes me." I said slightly struggling with anything else to say. "If there's a chance she can overcome her past I would like to give her the opportunity to. Just not at the expense of you guys."
