Chapter 66. Spider nest

"That is completely fair." Voras let out a sigh before looking at me with a pout. "It is so incredibly vexing that you say everything right you know that?"

"I'm sorry?" I didn't know if I ment it or if I was just apologizing for the sake of apologizing.

Voras brought her back legs down and the tapestry she had made settled back against her abdomen. The flowing colours stilled once more. "I would still like to take you up to my nest. I'd feel more comfortable up there with what I want to say next."

"And your nest is where exactly?" I asked hoping I was wrong.

Unfortunately Voras pointed to the face she had made against the ceiling. The size of the thing making more sense now that it doubles as her nest.

"And how does one like myself get up there?"

Fortunately my answer to that question was a lot better as Voras spread her arms. "Well I could bundle you up or I can just carry you in my arms." There was a slight husky tone to her voice that said she would like the first option more.

"Arms will be fine please." I said quickly.

Voras replied by getting in close and hugging me into her chest. Before I could resist she started pulling herself up her silk towards the face and in doing so forced me to cling onto her.

"This is a vastly different approach than what you were previously doing." I commented, trying to distract myself from the fact it was planted in her chest. "I mean less than ten minutes ago you were scolding me because your quest was something you didn't like."

Voras stayed silent the whole way up with the occasional glance my way. Each time it just restarted the blush she was desperately trying to contain.

Her nest wasn't much, just a silken cocoon that reminded me of a very large funnel web spiders home located within the mouth of her creepy face. It was still very spacious thankfully.

Once inside Voras changed. Gone was the domineering figure she was outside instead replaced by an almost timid maiden.

"You okay Voras?" I asked once she had let me down. Thankfully the web wasn't sticky.

"No of course I'm not!" She started throwing her hands up in exasperation. "I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I don't know why I kept shoving my whole abdomen in my own mouth and wondering why everyone doesn't accept me."

In a huff she planted herself on the ground facing me and crossed her arms over her chest. "I like you."

The admission was followed by her blowing the stray hairs off her face. "Like, I really like you. You do everything right to the point a damn Dragon is willing to throw herself at your defense and even with our rocky start you haven't once held it against me."

"You did have the right reason for doing it at the time." I offered with a shrug. "I mean I am a Deed owner and you seem to have had a few bad run ins with others so it makes sense why you treated me with the same hostility."

Again Voras threw her arms into the air. "There you go again saying everything you should. I've spent my life chasing the dream that there has to be at least one good Deed owner in this world and now that there's one in front of me? Instead of helping him like I should be I'm trying to sabotage any goodwill he has left. I know I should be helping you in any way I can but there's this voice inside my head constantly telling me you're full of shit."

Voras followed this up by maneuvering her legs slightly before she had a handful of cloth that was unceremoniously thrown at my face. I caught part of it but wasn't fast enough to stop the whole thing from hitting me.

Whatever it was had an earthy smell to it and was a little damp. I brought it away from my face so I could make out what it was and... Voras had thrown her underwear at me.

"Normally if I wasn't a Livestock I would be hunting my mate and eating them afterwards but since I found out what I was there had been this, almost romantic dream of mine to have someone that would love me in their harem. And I do mean that. I don't want someone who just screws around but a genuine connection."

She then pointed at her panties. "So excuse me for being excited about the idea of a Deed owner that refuses my advances solely because his harem mates don't agree. Yet. It's like you were pulled from my dreams or something and it's still not enough to actually make me get off my proverbial ass and help."

"Why not say that at the start then?" I asked, a little unsure what I was supposed to do with the fabric I was holding. "It would have avoided a lot of this drama."

"Because you're the eighth Deed owner I've encountered excluding the Livestock I turned into Deed owners." Voras let out a sigh. "I keep letting my self doubts get in the way. Everytime you do something right I think about how you could be manipulating the others into doing what you want. I know it's exhausting for you because I keep trying to find a way to say it and every time I keep defaulting to how I treated all the previous Deed owners."

She blew her hair away again. "Then Tarakona snapped at me and I realized I was the one treating you poorly. Well I knew I was treating you poorly before but it made me understand that I wasn't giving you the chance to actually do anything to prove me wrong. I wasn't doing what I needed to."

"And the whole throwing your underwear at me?" I hinted. My previous statement that they were damp might have been a bit of an understatement. There was a patch that was very, very wet.

"To prove I mean what I'm saying. And to make it obvious I like you." Voras then got back to her feet and started to pace around. "I know I need to make amends with the others and I will but for now."

She stopped pacing and came close to me. "Can I have another chance? I promise I will be helpful to you as a livestock though I may not be as open as the other girls outside of my nest but I will try. My nest makes me feel safe and I tend to be a bit more guarded outside of it... Well a lot more guarded. If at any point you think I'm being too harsh just order me to go to my nest. At least in here I can admit everything openly."

So she was a bit of a tsundere? I'll admit I've only ever heard of girls like that in anime and even then I slightly disliked the trope because it made it hard to like a character that couldn't be open. But Voras at least is truthful inside her nest? That actually made sense in a twisted way. Spiders don't usually leave their nests or at least black widows don't as that's what her colours closely represented.

Voras gave me her own version of puppy dog eyes and it was so very cute watching her try and make all five of her eyes bigger.

"Yes." I answered her. "On one condition. Prove it right here and now."

Her jaw dropped in her lack of understanding before her eyes found my crotch.

"No." I scolded lightly. "You get that only with Zeldi's permission." How in the hell was sex a reward for them? Not a big complaint on my part though.

"You have a quest do you not? Part of that does require you to do something for Zeldi and Tarakona." I took a step back and found a comfortable place to sit. "And if my memory servers for yourself as well."

Understanding dawned on her. Even though she was almost naked now I was effectively asking her to give me a show. Without touching.

"You want me to make a sexy outfit for myself? While you watch?" She drew out as if unsure.

"I want you to complete part of your quest, under my supervision. It is the job of the Deed owner to make sure progress is being made right?" I turned the question around with a smile and a little bit of sarcasm. "I'm only doing my job after all."

Voras blushed but dutifully stripped out of the remaining clothing that was touching the human part of her. She left the colourful silk on her abdomen though it wasn't hiding much anyway, especially since I was still holding her underwear.

Wait where was her pussy anyway? Was it between her front legs or more in the middle of her abdomen underneath?

My question would go unanswered as Voras drew a line with her fingers from where her more human part connected to her spider abdomen all the way up to her chest. "If it is all right with you Master, I would like to dance for you while I spin my web into an outfit you will most certainly like?"

I saw no reason to refuse and gave a nod just as her abdomen began to shake.
