Chapter 59. Voras’s past

It didn't take me long to reach the new boundary though it was a good thirty seconds of me moving through the trees.

"Definitely an improvement. Hey land, is this going to happen every time? Like could I just go buy other Deeds to extend the boundary some more?"

I was expecting purple to reply but instead.

Yes but also no.

"Umm your not purple." I said intellectually.

Well I'm glad you can see more than two colours. But to answer your question we can choose to join or refuse. If I had refused the Deed to my land would have been useless to you. However I have always enjoyed Voras and everything she has stood for so since she is now your Livestock I accepted.

"So there's a chance more Deeds will increase the range but only if the Deeds themselves want to?" I clarified.

Yes.

Interesting.

"Care to tell me what exactly you are?"

There was no response and I stood there like an idiot expecting either of them to.

Typical. Just like purple. What was with these things not telling me anything of actual use, and now I have two of them.

I continued to ring the new boundary edge, making note of a few locations that looked to have scratches from something behind dragged backwards. Even with trespassing there was still some waiting on the edges. Not sure what for but there was some that looked awfully kobold like.

I was eventually stopped by a silken thread placed between two trees. Now I would like to say I saw it but that would be a lie. In reality I walked straight into it and only noticed when the latex like material around my arm was pulled to the side.

This took me with it until I got caught in another few threads and finally stopped in a web. Resisting proved unfruitful but the one who made it didn't keep me there for long.

Voras decended from her hidden perch in the leaves and snapped the threads holding me still with practiced ease.

"There are other ways to get my attention you know?" I mocked as my feet were returned to the ground.

Void inventory

Checking the availability of my inventory I dismissed the gimp suit into it and pulled out my pants. They were much more comfortable.

Voras didn't look away. Instead she stepped back as if taking all of me in.

"There were less interesting ways of getting your attention sure. But I didn't know if you'd run away after I tried to kill you." She finally answered as I finished getting changed and looked her way.

"I think you succeeded there. Not a lot of trying." I joked looking over my shoulder. "Where are the others?"

"Try to be subtle about watching us." Voras said pointing at Tarakona who was flying around the expanded space but her head was pointed in our direction. "I told them everything and they agreed that I should probably tell you. That way there will be no secrets. Zeldi seems to think I will enjoy it here, Tarakona is hesitant but only because of my opinion of you."

There was some defeat in her voice.

"What happened to the dominant woman that had me tied up in her lair? I didn't expect her to roll over quite this easily." I tried to joke but it didn't land.

Voras let out a sigh before giving me a sad smile. "She was wrong. She thought there were only assholes in the world and bet her life on it. She... No I made a mistake. One that cost me my freedom."

"Do you want that freedom back?" I offered getting a surprised humph from the Arachnid.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked inching closer.

"Exactly what I said. Do you want me to find a way to free you?" I asked looking her up and down as she approached. She'd spun herself a colourful silk sheet to cover her abdomen very similar to the one she had on before, though it looked a lot more rushed and thinner than the one she wore in her lair.

The main difference was that she had covered her human half with a very tight fitting black one-piece. One that was very much Gothic in design and took a little bit of effort on my part not to stare at.

"Why?"

Her question broke my trance and I returned my attention to her eyes. The red irises not doing much to break my illusion of a Gothic spider woman in front of me.

"Because if you don't want to be here there's no point in me expending the additional resources it would take to actually benefit from your silk. I'm guessing you're a carnivore so if you did want to stay I would need to get the automatic butcher. If not I can focus on Zeldi and Tarakona. There's also the fact if you stay you will influence my resurrections. If you don't want to be here there's very little reason to keep you."

I left out the part where I would probably be getting the automatic butcher anyway as Tarakona would need a more steady supply of meat.

Voras just stood there staring at me. I may have had to readjust as her top made it quite obvious exactly where her nipples were. God dam I knew I was into Goth girls long before I came to this world but I didn't expect one of them to really exist. Especially one that towered over me. Was it bad I still wanted to try and dominate her? Make the tall Goth woman kneel down?

Don't answer that.

"Oh you are adorable Mister Clovek." She finally let out closing the gap between us and holding my arm out.

"No Mister lier this time?" I taunted watching her as she pulled silk from her abdomen and started to take my measurements. She wasn't very handsy and only touched what she needed to.

"I would be stupid to call you that now. Especially after your Centaur has threatened to find a way to tie me up in my own silk and let you 'plow my asshole' as she so calmly put it, if I didn't treat you with the respect you deserve." Voras laughed as she finished up.

"That does seem to be her favorite threat." I murmured watching with interest as Voras weaved a simple hammock between the trees around us for her abdomen to rest on.

"No. You are not a liar and I made a mistake there, but one I will happily admit too." Her eyes found mine and the ghost of a tear almost showed itself but vanished as a smile took over. "I would actually like to stay. Figuring out how you have managed to garner the favor of not one but two very different Livestock will be interesting on its own. But if you truly are an honorable Deed owner then I would be reminisce to let the chance escape."

She held up a now done pair of pants that looked baggy enough in a light blue, there was no design or pockets but for something she made in three minutes it wasn't bad. "Zeldi has said something about us being immune to the frost of your Dragon but I doubt our clothes will be."

I accepted the gift and when it didn't look like Voras was going to look away I just shrugged and stripped down right in front of her again as I changed pants. They were a perfect fit and had a lot of padding in the areas that needed it while also doing a great job of hiding my arousal.

"I have not met many males of similar build to your own that find me attractive as you so clearly do." The predatory purr returned to her voice as she dragged her eyes up and down.

"Keep wearing the black and you will find no end to that attraction." I returned with my own eyes giving her a once over.

"Hmmmmm. Now I'm curious how far you'll go." Voras smiled letting her fangs be seen.

While Zeldi had the innocence in her excitement with anything related to sex, Voras stood there like a woman who knew what she wanted. Part of me wanted to call out that but another was really excited about what she might do.

"How far are you willing to let me go?" I asked slowly reaching out with one hand until I was hovering it just over her waist.

Voras hissed playfully, the sound sending a tingling chill down my spine. She unfortunately then stepped away out of my reach. "Not that far. But returning to your question about my freedom. I have never cared about it, as a Deed owner I could buy and protect Livestock and that's all I did with it."

"I'm guessing there's a reason for that?" I pried hoping she would tell me more about herself.

Voras saw right through that. "Yes and put simply the last Deed owner that tried to own me was left hanging just out of reach of her own land by my silk."

I held up my hands in playful surrender. "Don't harm Zeldi or Tarakona and we won't have a problem that will require such advanced solutions."

Voras hissed. "Treat them right and I will agree with that. Though I feel that warning is redundant."

"Just a little bit." I returned with a shrug. "You said you saved other Livestock. Were they bound to the Deed you gave me?"

"No. They are elsewhere on a different Deed I stole. And before you ask I will not be showing it to you. At least for now."

"Fair enough. Just keep the option open for Zeldi. She hasn't interacted with too many other Livestock and it might be nice for her to at some point."

Voras narrowed her eyes at me as if trying to see if there was a trick behind my words. She gave up while biting her lip. "You are way too nice you know that?"

I gave her a shrug. "I'm here to make the most of this world and to do that I need Livestocks resources. Zeldi produces more milk if she's happy and taken care of, and on top of that she is very friendly."

Voras's glare turned into a smile. "Only a wonderer would think like that."

Yip. She was beautiful when she smiled. In a mature caring sort of way.

"I'm going to take that as a compliment."

"It is. You are everything a Deed owner should be in terms of your words but I will let your actions show who you truly are." The subtle threat at the end was said with a hiss though I didn't even flinch. If she was going to judge me solely no how I treat Zeldi and Tarakona then I was going to pass with flying colours.

"Well then, if you're staying how about we discuss your silk."
