Chapter 3. Deed owner

Zeldi ended up herding me back to the couch only to kneel her horse half back onto the ground so that she could lay her head down in my lap. It was a little embarrassing as each breath she took tickled the tip of my erection making it very hard not to remain hard.

"Soooo." I began trying to think about anything but the woman who was inches. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

Admittedly not the best thing to say and even Zeldi agreed with the weird look she gave me.

"I mean why the sudden friendliness. Not that you weren't friendly before but you weren't this friendly." I tried to explain, poorly while indicating to her position.

Zeldi clicked her tongue. "Wanderer. Forgive me Clovek I keep assuming you already know."

My Centaur companion righted herself so that we were almost eye to eye. "There's four things that you need to understand before anything else."

I tried to give her my full attention but I strayed a little as her chest bounced. There was also a slight dark patch in the middle of each mound.

"The first is the deed itself." Zeldi started with a smile having noticed my wandering gaze. "Now that you own it the land itself is yours to command, within reason. There are some rules that I am unsure of but the stories I've heard about paint you as the defacto leader that any baron or king cannot remove."

I liked the sound of that.

"The land itself will help and guide you in your growth just like it will guide us livestock to improve. Try thinking of your next quest."

I did as Zeldi said and a notification appeared in front of my face.

Current quest: Help one of your livestock to produce their resource.

Reward: Void inventory

I think I saw this before I discarded the notifications. What else did I miss?

"Did you have a quest?" Zeldi asked, her ears pointed forward and twitching.

I immediately went from looking at them to looking down at her chest. She was a milk maid right? And she did produce centaur milk. Does that mean my quest needs me to?

Zeldi having noticed my attention gave a sly smile. "Master Clovek. Do you have a quest related to my boobs?"

I snapped out of my stupor and only let a small blush take form. "My.. ah quest. As you put it states that I must help one of my livestock to produce their resource. Forgive me for looking I just..."

"Didn't know how to ask your one and only livestock that you needed unrestricted access to her boobs so that you can take her rich cream?" Zeldi taunted while fingering the cord holding her top closed.

Already blushing I took it in stride. "Yip. So I'm going to need you to strip down and assume the position."

"Oh what position would you prefer?" She replied to my teasing already turning around.

"If you point that part of you towards me it won't be you getting milked."

That was what finally got her to blush.

"I'll keep that in mind. Master Clovek." Both her ears stayed aimed at me even as she moved her body. "If your quest is to milk me we should head to the barn then. It will have everything to make me more comfortable during the milking. I would offer to do it here but I have neglected to have the glass containers to put it in."

I shrugged. "I'm in your care."

"No Clovek I'm in your's."

We exited the house and I finally got a good look at the property. It was in shambles plain and simple. There was no surprise why Tilty was being brought in to care for this place.

The land itself was dry and cracked to the point no crops would grow while broken fences dotted what was once grazing fields for animals. There was no value in this land at all.

"To continue with my explanation the land itself needs an owner. They act as a middle man of sorts between the Leylines and the land. The more quests you complete the better the land and it's inhabitants become. However without an owner the land dies."

There was some disappointment in her tone as she explained. "I tried to have some sheep a while ago but without an owner or outside help the grass didn't grow back and wolves kept picking at them when I wasn't around. So I had to sell them and survive selling my milk to pay for the privilege of being the caretaker. Until Tilty became a pain in my tail."

I gave her a second to shake herself out of it before I asked my questions. "So my whole job is to complete quests around the farm?"

"Yes and no." Zeldi answered. "Quests will make you stronger with new abilities and benefits to the land that we will need. And by we I mean you and all your livestock but you will still need to take care of any animals, plants and livestock you have to procure money. This part I don't know too much about as my quests have only been to produce larger and larger quantities of my milk for an owner that didn't exist."

"You mentioned animals and livestock as if they're different?" I questioned as a barn came into view.

It was in decent repair but definitely looked a little on the worn side.

"They are. Again I apologize for assuming you know the difference but the short answer is animals are simply minded and can only produce low quality items or products in abundance whereas livestock like myself are sentient and our products quality can be improved by our owners. Another part of your job though I will go into more depth about that later."

I nodded along as we came up to the front doors of the barn only for Zeldi to take us around the side and up to a smaller door.

"Your job will also be to make sure your livestock have adequate food, water and luxuries. If you look at me you should get a basic description."

I did as requested and the same display popped up.

Zeldi (Centaur)

Status: Nervous

Position: Livestock (milk maid)

Product: Centaur milk (D-)

Harvestable: Yes

"Yeah. Says your name, that you're a centaur, that you produce milk at D- quality and that you're harvestable." I rattled off the points. "It also says that you are nervous."

"All correct. I'm nervous because I've never had anyone else apart from my family milk me before but if you focus more on what I need there should be another page to read." Zeldi said with a small blush.

I couldn't help looking at her chest again as she mentioned milking. My family had a farm I'd worked with after I didn't know what I wanted to do after graduation and I'd taken a liking to it enough to stay. This ment that a simple task of milking a cow was familiar to me but a centaur?

I was a little unsure of how professional she wanted to keep this but if her actions were any indication of her intentions, I was probably going to try tasting her milk straight from the tap.

Focus on her needs for now though. Doing so brought up a whole new interface about Zeldi.

Zeldi

Comfort too low. Production decreased as a result.

Production quality: D-

Livestock possess permanent upgrades that stop her milk going being below a D- quality rank.

That is very helpful. Could I just...

I mentally selected the comfort to see if it would show me what I needed to do and another pop up appeared.

Zeldi comfort requirements:

Okay so I just don't know what she needs to be comfortable?

"There's a lot here but it's saying that your lack of comfort is effecting your milk production but then it's also showing what I need to do to help you as being unknown." I explained curiously."It also mentions something about you having permanent upgrades."

Zeldi had produced a key from between her tits and unlocked the door while I was distracted with the menus.

"So I believe you will need to either spend time with me to understand my needs or gain a skill through quests. This is..."

"One of my jobs as your owner?" I finished.

Zeldi smiled. "Yes. The more of my needs you take care of the more I will produce for you. It's a cycle we will both participate in. It is also believed to be a way of stopping the owners from just purchasing a lot of different livestock and ignoring them to be tended by their other workers."

"So if you had to guess, what would some of the needs of yours I need to take care of?" I asked wanting to see if I could cheat the system slightly by just getting the answers from her.

Zeldi stopped just as she was about to enter the barn. "Promise you won't laugh?"

"I'm not going to laugh Zeldi. I've been summoned to a new world and instead of a completely broken godlike ability I've been given a farm and a cute woman to help me run it." I responded coming up besides her and noticing her blushing face.

"Then I know of a few of my needs that would improve my comfort and by extension by production. A good bed to help with my sleep, proper food instead of the cheap grain I'm currently purchasing and..." She hesitated before continuing. "And I have been alone for a long time without any way to properly relieve any carnal needs."

Zeldi comforts learnt:

Oh.
