Chapter 166. Kettu on the farm
"I'd feel really bad if we just killed them," I mumbled half heartedly. "You said they were useful, right? Can we relocate the spring?"
"Depends on how much effort you want to put into it," Dríade responded. "Again, I bring up the superstition that they have. If someone were to find them, they would probably be caged and sold as good luck charms or some kind of status symbol to some rich asshole. I would be in favor of rehoming them."
"And if I didn't mind how much effort it took?" I asked.
They were adorable little things like a soft toy. I didn't have the heart to kill them.
Dríade shrugged. "We'd need to take all of the water in their spring, then cage them ourselves so we could move them because they won't go willingly. Once we get them back to the farm, we could put them close to the lake Tarakona's building. So long as the water keeps its mana contents they will stay."
There was a moment of silence as Dríade thought of something else before she dipped her fingers into the water and brought them to her lips to taste, ignoring the fairies as they yelled at the intrusion.
"If you don't mind the effort, I'd actually like to move it closer. It's said that Fairy spring water is a great alchemical ingredient."
"I keep forgetting you're an alchemist," I said before I could stop myself.
"Most people do as well. Makes it easier to poison them when they let their guards down." She countered back without flinching.
Refocusing on the task at hand, I asked. "So how does it all work? If we just take all the water and the fairies, will that stop this one from existing? And how would we make another?"
"Both questions are simple to answer. The spring itself is functionally useless without the fairies. They pull mana from the Ley line to infuse the water as they bathe. Take away the fairies, and this becomes nothing but a puddle of water. As for how to make another, that's a little trickier." Dríade explained, grabbing a different Fairy and showing it to me. "These things feed directly on the Ley lines themselves, so if there's a location that is close to one, they will naturally congregate there."
"A location like my farm." I carried on.
"Exactly. The Deeds would be the real question because if they try and hide the ley line from the fairies, then they will just fly away, thus not making their Fairy spring."
I gave it some thought as I went over the logistics of it all.
"They will also grow with adequate Mana if you want to fuck them," Dríade added. "They should take around a cycle or two to get to that size."
"Is that all you think I think about?" I droned back.
Dríade shrugged and threw the Fairy into the air. The small creature caught itself and gave the Dryad a glare before flying back to the spring as if nothing happened.
"So we need the Deeds to want them on the farm and some way of transporting them, as well as the water back?" I clarified, looking at the Fairy spring. It was maybe ten liters at most, so easily doable.
"Can't you just buy bottles from your shop as you do for your Centaurs milk?" Dríade asked as she tasted the water again. Her body seemed to gain an extra pigment of colour that was probably due to her Dryadness and the water's properties.
"Would have to teleport back there first. Can't use the shop outside of the farm's boundary. Do you mind waiting here while I do that? I'll also ask if the Deeds will be okay with it." I responded.
Dríade drank another mouthful of the spring. If I left her too long, she might drain the whole thing at this rate, though it was funny watching the Fairies trying to bite her every time she got close.
"I can do that." Her tentacles came around to surround the Fairies, though the creatures didn't seem to even understand that their fates were being decided by us. They were happy just sitting around the edge or swimming through the slow-draining water without probing fingers.
I chuckled before activating my teleportation and returning to the farm. I'd gone to Madu's home and back, so this was an easy trip in comparison. It had meant to be a quick thing. Just get there, ask the Deeds, and buy a few bottles... That didn't quite work out as I found myself looking at a floating island of dirt levitating above my farm.
I must have looked like Jack Sparrow watching his ship move as I just looked at the mound of dirt.
[Oh my love! You're back.]
"Temporarily," I said back to my Dragon, not taking my eyes off the floating island. The cause of it was easy enough to find, as Kettu was standing below it with her hands in the air and her tails all glowing with a soft light.
"Impressive, right, Master?" Zeldi cooed, having snuck up beside me.
"Impressive is a bit of an understatement. This is making what I can do with magic seem like a kid with his toys." I murmured.
Kettu heard my voice and spun around to find me. Something in her gaze changed, and the island of dirt was thrown out of the way and somewhere into the forest so that she could scamper over.
"She's very direction-focused, Master, and before you ask, yes, I think she'll be a wonderful addition to your harem, so she has my full blessings," Zeldi whispered.
"That was a fast decision. I thought it would take you longer to decide. It certainly did for a few of the others." I mused, not taking my eyes off the Kitsune and her tails.
"Well, those others had reasons for me to refuse. Kettu here knows what she wants and agrees that it takes a family to raise a child." Zeldi answered. "It helps she has agreed to view me as the head mare of our family and has experience raising babies. Not that it would have made me want her even more. She is tremendously good at just about everything I have asked her to do."
There was the answer I was looking for. Then again, Kettu had been Tarakona's maid.I quickly purchased a few bottles before I forgot as the Kitsune stopped just a little bit in front of me.
Completely at odds with the dirt she'd been moving, not a speck was touching the blue and white maid outfit she was wearing as it puffed out around her hips. I took a second to admire her figure, though I was a bit more subtle than Zeldi, who openly stared at everything she could see beside me.
Kettu was definitely well endowed in her chest, but more reasonably compared to Zeldi, our resident milkmaid. She had also neglected the traditional cut in her top in favor of a under boob window that showed only enough to entice. Her hips, however, flared out quite a bit to accommodate her nine tails, but her most defining feature had to be her ears. The fluffy appendages raised themselves above her head like horns and pointed themselves towards me in expectation as she stopped.
"Clovek, it is good to finally meet you." She said, curtsying with her hands on her skirt to puff it out even more. "I am Kettu, Kitsune of the volcanic mountain range and Livestock in need of a new Master. I am hoping you will take care of me."
The way she curtsied left a perfect view of her ears as they danced to a tune that made me want to reach out and touch, she had to know by the twinkle in her eye. It was no wonder Zeldi liked her, and I had to wonder myself if she was going to be able to handle the Centaur. Tarakona would be more than happy to delegate that responsibility.
"Well then, Kettu, it seems you already know a bit about me, but I'm Clovek, owner of this farm, and I'm more than happy for you to come live here. I do, however, have to be a bit rude, as I was in the middle of something, so can I leave you in Zeldi's care?"
"That is quite alright, Master. I look forward to getting to know you better." She kept herself at a half bow with her dress pulled from each side.
We both ignored Zeldi as she waggled her eyebrows at that. Kettu's ears, however, pivoted at the noise before returning to their focus on me.
For my part, I don't think I knew where to look or what to do. Kettu made every movement seem natural, but there was a sexy elegance in everything she did, and that wasn't even taking into account the purr she added to 'Master'. I had to remind myself this was Tarakona's old maid, but I don't think that mattered too much as the Dragon was smiling in the background.
"I shall continue with the creation of the lake in preparation for Tarakona's hatching. Zeldi has mentioned I will need to find my use on the farm as one of its Livestock and I will make sure I am useful to you in any way I can be." Kettu purred again, as she slowly spun around, making sure to draw my attention to her butt by swishing her tails. All nine of them spread out to be visible in every direction except to cover her butt.
Oh, she was definitely foxy; that was for sure.
[She likes you, my love. I don't think I've ever seen Kettu flirting before.]
I didn't comment back; I just watched the foxy woman sashay away with a swing in her hips that made her tails dance.
"Oh, she so wants you to bend her over, Master. Gods below, she would be so good at some Master - servant play." Zeldi giggled.
"Don't infect her with your own thoughts, Zeldi." I chastised her slightly, not really meaning it.
"You would love it." She bantered back.
I made no comment.
"I'll hopefully be back in three-ish days," I said, purchasing a cage as well. "Then we can properly discuss the changes."
"Of course." Zeldi smiled. "We can have her on her knees making sure you are well taken care of."
I sighed at her antics but could definitely picture that in my head.
"I'm sure Madu would be equally as interested in your fantasies. Why don't you include her?" I asked, not at all thinking that should happen...
Zeldi saw right through me. "I can make that happen, Master."
I almost missed Kettu's ears spinning back around from listening to us.
"Make it so," I whispered back. "We can see just how long her tongue really is."
I ran a hundred under her chest just enough to elicit a whimper out of her before teleporting back to Dríade.
The Dryad took one look at me and instantly knew what had happened. "Couldn't resist teasing her could you? You'd think she was some kind of tease mare with her crap you two do."
"Jealous?" I taunted, pulling out the cage.
Dríade took it. "Nope. I'll leave that for Voras, so if there's some kind of turns being taken, she can have my slot."
With that she turned to the Fairies and tried to whisper. "I don't have the parts right now to do that."
