Chapter 107. Dinner as a family

We returned to the house so I could show Madu her new room only to find Zeldi cooking while humming a tune as Voras paced around the pillow pit with enough nervous energy to power a light. She was also wearing far less than before with only a single layer on instead of the mobile nest she had on previously.

"Are we interrupting?" I joked only for Voras to jump like I'd physically grabbed her.

"Not at all." Zeldi answered taking the pot off the fire. "We were almost done. I should have asked Madu but do you eat oats? It's all we have right now."

"No it's okay Maître has given me some meat from... I actually have no idea where he got it from." Madu answered.

[The automatic butcher?]

"Yeah." I added. "My inventory is full if you are hungry yourself Tarakona."

[Yes actually. I should probably hunt soon but a quick snack would do me well.]

It took some maneuvering but I got all ten pieces of meat into her mouth. I thought about saving one for myself but I could have another later while she was hunting.

[Enjoy your night my love. I have a feeling you will enjoy it.]

Watching Tarakona eat while also talking into my mind was only slightly weird.

"You say that like it's going to be different to all the other nights." I said walking back into the house.

[It might be.]

Cryptic.

Tarakona shook the ground with the force of her departure as she took off without telling me anything else. A small laugh filling my mind as she disappeared.

I quickly rebought the upgrade that would allow her to leave and winced as two hundred points disappeared. Granted it was a better outcome than watching her mother destroy everything but it still stung slightly. Points were valuable after all.

Maybe I could get Tithalia to pay me back somehow... Yeah I think that might be a tall order.

"And I understood ever word of that but still don't know what she means." I grumbled to myself as I returned to the other girls.

Madu had made her way over to Voras but in the process had discovered the love nest of pillows that seemed to be growing every time I saw it. Granted we had bought pillows from the Drow that hadn't made it to Zeldi's bedroom yet so I knew where they were coming from but still.

"Tarakona fed Master?" Zeldi asked while holding two bowls of oats and heading towards the couch.

"Partly. She's off to hunt and if it goes well I might see if she's willing to let us have the next batch of meat. Would be good to diversify our diet." I responded while also following her over to the couches.

I'd watched her family serve meat when we'd visited so I know she was an omnivore like a human and not a herbivore like her horse counterpart. Would a diet change help her milk at all?

Question for later.

Especially if I'm allowed to drink more of her milk.

"Do you want me to milk you after we've eaten?" The thought of milk reminding me I still had a job to do.

"I've already milked myself tonight so you don't need to worry about that." Zeldi answered with a slight bump to her boobs that showed off that they were very bouncy but not full.

"Je peux le traire si nécessaire." (I can milk him if necessary) Madu popped her head out from the pillows.

I looked at the Lamia who just grinned like a child that didn't care she had been caught sneaking cookies from the cookie jar.

"Still going to be a no unless you speak English, or whatever language this world has." I scolded her as I joined Zeldi.

My mare took up most of the couch with her body but there was a small gap in front that I could squeeze into. I could have taken any of the others but I wanted to be close to her while we ate.

"So what's your plan now Master? Apart from gaining enough points to get a few more automatic butchers what do we need to do?" Zeldi asked while shooting a look at Voras.

Zeldi asked the question but I could see Voras visibly wanting to say something as her pacing had stopped. Madu was just relaxing in the pillows sprawled out as much as she could.

"I actually want to go into town at some point soon." I said as I started to eat.

"I thought we all agreed that was a bad idea." Zeldi softly growled though there wasn't a lot of heat behind it. "I hope you have a good reason."

"Your quests." I responded reaching a hand around to rub Zeldi between her ears. "Madu, Tarakona and yourself all have quests that require selling what you produce. Waiting for the Drow to come back isn't sustainable and we want Madu's quest done as quickly as possible."

"Oooow yes. I get my eyes back if you do my quest right? If so I am all for doing whatever accomplishes that the fastest." Madu put her own opinion forward.

"Then we need to get on storing your venom somehow so I can take it into town." I returned watching as Voras came to some sort of revelation.

"But the reason for not letting you go was because it is dangerous Master." Zeldi complained. "Ventress can get through the Kobolds barricade because she's a trained fighter with years to back it up. Your strength comes from Tarakona, and she's not going to want to do anything that requires her to transform for a while."

Zeldi had a point. I don't think trading would be a good idea with a frost Dragon just watching the store. Not to mention actually getting her into town would be hard enough.

"What if I go with him?" Voras quietly asked. The Arachne holding herself still as we all turned to look at her.

"That could work." Zeldi slowly said catching Voras's eyes and trying to communicate something I didn't understand.

"I wouldn't need to talk with anyone right? Just act as his guard there and back." Voras continued growing a little more confident.

I would also need to spend more points on letting her be able to leave but at this point I didn't care. In the entire time I've been here I haven't completed a single of Zeldi's quests so I really needed to do that. If I needed to spent points to let Voras leave in order to do that then fine.

Zeldi pursued her lips together in thought. "You would need to do more than look menacingly at everyone Voras. You would be helping Master trade as well and all around just be his partner. You would also need to fit in with a surface village. Could you do that?"

"I would like to try." Voras answered with more confidence than I expected her to have.

"Even after tonight?" Zeldi asked with a pointed look.

"I want a home sister Zeldi, not just a quick romp. I would like to be of more assistance on this farm than just a simple producer of silk." Voras answered.

"I'm missing something here." I nearly whispered only for Zeldi to turn back to me.

"Voras and you are going to spend the night together." She stated like it was obvious. "She has done more than enough to earn that right and we all know it's what she wants, but I have put a stipulation in place and that is she must do it outside of her nest."

I didn't know how to respond.

It's not like I could say thank you... Right?

Madu however saved me from having to figure that out by talking for me. "Wait. Voras you haven't slept with him yet? Like you are okay giving up my Deed and saying he should be the owner of all Livestock, and you haven't even figured out if he can be what we all want yet?"

"If you are worried about him not being able to satisfy you I can vouch for his skill in that department." Zeldi giggled towards Madu.

"Oh I'm not worried about that I'm just surprised Voras here made the decision without first sampling what was on offer." The Lamia grinned. "I mean I can't see him but I'm already sold on the idea of what he can do."

"I feel like this is not a conversation I was ment to be a part of." I dryly said to myself.

"Seems like you're going to be playing a large part of it though." Madu hummed back at me.

Voras was of course blushing as red as the hourglass on her abdomen.

"Well I'm definitely not going to complain." I shrugged. "What about you Voras?"

Voras jumped. And I mean that she jumped from the floor all the way to the ceiling where she suspended herself upside down.

"I am looking forward to it C-Clovek. I ummm hope I don't disappoint you."

The poor girl looked like she wanted to hide away more than anything but was keeping herself here by pure willpower.

"Then in that case shall we leave them to it Madu?" Zeldi not so subtly hinted.

"We can't watch?" The Lamia joked. "But I guess that's fine. I've had a notification about a personal room for a bit now, I'm going to go check it out."

And with that Madu vanished.

Zeldi took my now empty plate before giving me a kiss. "Enjoy Master. And if you wear her out I'll be waiting."

A glass of her milk was left as she to vanished, leaving Voras and I alone.

I took a drink enjoying the warm cream as I found Voras still on the ceiling, just waiting.

"Well then Voras. You have earned this and waited long enough. How about you tell me how you would like this to go. I would hate to leave you unsatisfied."
