73- ‘important’ discussion.
How do we talk about our faction's future?
Of course, at a table with all of us together, with various types of sweets and drinks for us to enjoy.
Ophis and Shirone are sitting in my lap together, doing what they've wanted to do for a long time, eating, while Kuroka is sitting next to me at Shirone's side, feeding her, cleaning her mouth, and occasionally leaning on my arm,
The same thing we always do when those two are together, I'm the one in charge of keeping Ophis clean.
I have to say thanks to my strengthened body or else my legs would be numb after carrying those two, the type where you can't even walk and I hated those in my past life…
While the two adorable creatures are having an eating contest… well, Artoria is also competing with them when it comes to eating the food...
Anyway, Kei and Scathach are just watching us, with Shishou wanting to see a good show while the rest of us talk about important matters like...
"Fufufu, No matter how hard you try to deny it, Ahm, my theory has yet to be proven wrong "Jeanne was confident in her words. She smiled meaningfully as she looked around the room at the other girls, particularly the ones who had been summoned by me.
I can't deny her, but it would be foolish to believe that every girl I summon will end up like that. "I don't think that... that will be the case... right?"
It was Jalter's turn to speak this time. "Just like she said, it has yet to be proven wrong. They're all in a relationship with you or like you in some way... The only exception is her, but she is too new for it "Jalter said this while pointing at Artoria, who looked back at her and then at me with a puzzled expression that said, 'It can't be, right? ', all while eating a piece of cake and looking adorable while doing so.
Taking everything as a joke more than anything else.
"Ha!? Of course, it has been proven wrong! How about me?" Following the sound of the table being hit and the outburst, we all turned to look at the perpetrator, only to find Mordred standing up there, with her face flushed.
The question is…
Is it because she is angry or something else?
Her face became even redder as more people looked at her with the same expression, not believing her for a second.
Even her father averted his gaze.
Anyone can tell she likes me in some way, probably not in the same way that Kei, Jalter, Jeanne, and Scathach do, but not that far off either.
She's been living with me, playing with me, and generally accompanying me for years,
and her feelings have naturally developed just like how she sees Arthur and Le Fay as some kind of adopted siblings.
Even Artoria, who had only recently arrived, could sense it, let alone the girls who had been living with her at the time.
As a result, Mordred had no choice but to accept that everyone saw right through her "Agh Fine! Who cares if I like him or not?" She then sat back, but she noticed that the sensation of the chair had changed into something else, into someone else, and that someone hugged her from behind before she could react.
It was me who appeared on her back after changing into some pillows to not disturb the two girls that were on my lap. "With everything going on and you being in Britain, I couldn't pay attention to you... Let's change that?"
She still needs a little push because she is more of a warrior who enjoys fights and such, but it shouldn't be too difficult given that all I need to do is spend more time with her.
Following her initial surprise, Mordred relaxed and responded with her usual proud tone, "Sure... don't disappoint me."
She finished with a smile as they all looked at her as if expecting this outcome, but...
She quickly tried to punch me, forcing me to return to replace the pillow on which Ophis and Shirone were sitting.
What is the reason...? We were talking about how every girl I summoned might end up being my girl, and Jeanne made a good point about it...
Mordred realized what it meant if I continued on the current path. "Come here, you pervert! You want both of us, Father and Daughter?"
So, I'll use my self-developed ultimate technique for this situation, and she won't be able to do anything about it.
[Hide behind the adorable OP dragon loli]
I mean, I don't want an enraged Mordred throwing light beams into the house... Not again…
A pro tip, don't answer 'I thought that it was your back' if you ever fall into a lucky pervert moment with Mordred.
Jeanne stepped in and asked her a question to try to calm her down. "Do you actually care about that? I mean... we both look like her..." She pointed at both Jalter and herself.
Mordred sat back and voiced her opinion. "Actually… after all that happened to my Father... I don't care, but I felt like I had to punch him for some reason! " When she was talking about her Father, she seemed a little thoughtful; I guess she wants the best for Artoria...
Astoria stood there thinking about what they had said, and she couldn't think of getting involved in Mordred's relationship after what had happened in the past, for fear of hurting her more than anything else...
It was Astoria's turn to speak up this time, "I don't think that... " But she was cut off by Jeanne approaching her from behind and hugging her; after observing her expression change, Jeanne realized what Artoria was thinking.
But that also makes her so unique, always sacrificing herself for others...
"Like Mordred said, you deserve to get everything that you want after what happened to you... everyone here will support you even if you become a little selfish." She tried to persuade Artoria with a sweet and reassuring voice, and it seemed to work, albeit only slightly.
I've told her numerous times that she can do whatever she wants and that I will support her.
Jeanne appears to be taking 'making the family happy' a little too seriously, even assisting me in obtaining girls...
Who doesn't adore Artoria, after all? I may be tired of seeing so many different versions of her in FGO, but that hero-like girl is simply stunning, and after all she has sacrificed, one can't help but to pamper her.
And then there's Scathach, Kei, and the rest... They appear to be thinking the same thing as Jenne...
They don't mind, and Scathach is confident in her abilities and believes that she will always be on top, no matter what happens in the future or how many girls come to me...
Despite the fact that she enjoys being and is usually at the Bottom...
*Cough*
Shishou, don't look at me like that...
While I was watching the two and was evading Shishou's gaze, I noticed that the little white cat on my lap stood up and walked over to Artoria, but not before giving me a wink and a thumbs up...
What is she up to now...?
Jeanne persuaded her that "Mordred doesn't care, and neither do we... You can choose whatever you want."
Even if it looks like she is trying to add Artoria... It's not a way to get Artoria into the harem but a way for her to realize her own charms, especially since, unlike Mordred, Artoria has no feelings for me, so this is a way for her to gain more confidence in herself.
And I suppose this is also a way to avoid future problems if she wants to do something, but my relationship with Mordred prevents her from doing so...
Artoria paused for a moment before shaking her head, as if to get rid of something. "Even so, I doubt Ahmya will be interested in me with so many beautiful women around him... " In self-doubt, she looked around and said
Jalter was the one who spoke to her, attempting to persuade her. "You're the best one here, girl! You're literally dozens of girls squeezed into one." The other girls nodded at Jalter, but Artoria wasn't convinced.
Artoria in response, answered with a serious tone "You may be right, but they are not 'me'. "
Seems like she came up with her answer regarding her multiple bodies and memories…
Kei also contributed to the conversation: "But you are still really pretty… " At which Artoria smiled in response.
Jeanne persisted in her efforts to persuade the Lioness about her own beauty. "Kei is correct; your heroic personality is enough even if we don't count your body... But if you don't believe in your own charms, putting on one of those 'outfits' like the maid one will be enough to charm him." Jeanne then pointed at me, and I couldn't help but to scratch my head, since she was right.
Artoria finally realized that she might be correct based on the looks that everyone was giving her, especially him, but even so, this wasn't something she needed to be concerned about right now; she had her duties and responsibilities to attend to first and foremost, especially during those dedicated times...
Meanwhile, Jalter decides to play a little prank on Mordred, poking the hornet's nest without realizing. "He! Look on the bright side, Mordred; at the very least, you two will have something new to compete with, if you know what I mean~."
Of course, Mordred wouldn't sit and let Jalter tease her without fighting back "Ha!? Do it with him first, then you come to talk about those things! "
Jalter then threw the blame at me. "Eh? That's not my fault! It's HIS fault! "
Wait, she threw the blame at me!?
Well it does sound like it was my fault...
I had to answer her "I'm waiting for the right moment to make it… special? Or something... " Then I looked at Jeanne for an answer using a mental message.
'What- '
But before I could ask, he surprised me with the following response: 'we appreciate it but it's been a while, so no, after so long I just want you to fill me like a turkey at Christmas when we're alone and nothing else...'
*Gulp*
"Fine, you both asked for it," I said, but all I got was a seductive and coquettish smile in return.
Ignorant of our mental chit-chat...
The half-convinced Artoria decided to leave the matter like that for the time being, and Jeanne and the others understood and left her alone, but suddenly, Artoria felt someone pulling from her shirt, and when she looked at the one doing it, she met the pair of yellow eyes of a cute white-haired cat girl.
Somehow, Jalter and Mordred felt that the scene was quite familiar...
Shirone, who had managed to retain her small size even after all these years, looked at Artoria, a cute sight that even the Lion King couldn't defend against.
Maybe it has to do with how much we spoil her all the time…
"Ne! Big sister said that you wanted to be the queen of Britain, right? " She inquired with an innocent and curious tone that could soften anyone's heart.
"Yes, I decided that protecting Britain will be my duty in this world... ", Artoria replied to the adorable cat, only to freeze when she heard her next 'innocent' question.
"Amazing! Are you going to be a queen like in the movies? So, who is going to be the king? Isn't it true that every queen has a king? Then who is it?" Everyone couldn't help but stare at me after Shirone's question, not even Artoria, who couldn't think of an answer...
"... " I knew it! This damn cat! Don't give me a thumbs up now!
