3.86: My future wife
After driving for over an hour, we pulled into a parking lot and saw that one of the people we were there to meet was already standing in front a small clothing boutique. A very tall woman who was dressed in a cute sky blue sun dress that showed off her sexy long legs was staring down at her phone as we pulled up, a huge smile spreading across her face as she saw us. Her long platinum blonde hair hung down to her mid back and was tied back with a large blue ribboned bow. She wore a pair of strappy heels that only served to make her taller and her already mouthwatering booty look even more amazing. I threw open the door excitedly as I ran over to my best friend, my arms open wide. The much taller woman caught me in her arms and hugged me tightly. Her body was toned and it was obvious she spent a good deal of time in the gym from the way she effortlessly lifted me off my feet. After a moment she set me down and took a step back looking me up and down.
“Oh, Als I missed you so fucking much!! You are glowing girl!”
I heard Emily walking up behind me and Zoe looked over my shoulder to stare at my fiancée. I turned slightly and grinned at her as she gave me a curious look.
“Em, this is Zoe, she has been my best friend since we were both like… five. Zoe, this is Emily… the future Mrs. Raynier.”
“It’s an absolute pleasure to meet you, Emily... but… I find it awfully strange that I’ve heard literally nothing about you. Imagine my reaction when I get a phone call out of the blue from this one asking me to drive down to Denver and come look at wedding dresses with the two of you.”
Em’s expression darkened slightly and she looked from me up to the much taller woman. Zoe smiled warmly and held up a hand.
“Don’t worry… I’m not mad at you, Emily. I’m mad at my supposed best friend for going and getting engaged without telling me! If I hadn’t already talked to Kim when I got here, I’d literally know nothing about the woman my girl is getting married to.”
“Ki– Oh! Is my mom here already?”
“Indeed. We both showed up super early and got some coffee at that cafe on the corner there. She, of course, spent the whole time singing your praises, Als… so obviously you made a bit of an impact. But I have to say… her pictures of you, Emily… they don’t do you justice at all. At least my girl has good taste.”
Emily blushed and moved next to me, extending her hand out towards Zoe.
“Well, I’m sorry my fiancée neglected her best friend duties, Zoe. But, I can already tell that you and I are going to get along really well.”
Zoe looked down at Emily’s hand with a smirk and cocked an eyebrow, before reaching forward and pulling Em into a tight hug. The smaller woman’s face was buried in Zoe’s enormous bosom for a moment before she did her best to wrap her arms around Zoe's waist. The two pulled apart after an awkward moment and Emily’s face was flushed completely red. Zoe caught sight of my fiancée’s blushing complexion and laughed heartily.
“It’s a good thing Als here helped me find my heterosexuality, Emily… cause you are definitely super cute when you blush.”
Emily looked from Zoe to me and gave me a questioning glance.
“Wait… the two of you…?”
“Yeah, we tried dating for about half a year. Once Z figured out that she’s totally and completely straight, we went back to being friends.”
“Turns out me getting rid of my dick just made me crave one that much more. Sadly for Als here, even if she is damn good with a strap-on, the only dicks I'm interested in have to be attached to a guy.”
Em’s eyebrows knitted for a moment before her eyes went wide.
“Wait...you’re… oh. OH! I remember Allison mentioning you at some point. Well… not you specifically by name. She didn’t out you or anything… but she–”
“It’s all good! Truly. Als has permission to tell people she trusts whatever she wants about me. I’m an open book. Especially to family. And if she trusts you and considers you family, then it's all good. Yes, I’m trans. I came out about ten years ago, and had several surgeries about five years ago. My outie became an innie and my girls were upgraded to legendary status. Among a few other noteworthy upgrades.”
Emily nodded and gave Zoe a warm smile.
“Thank you for trusting me, Zoe. My twin brother is also trans. He came out in high school, so… I know how difficult it can be for many people. I’m really glad Allison is part of your support system.”
“Wait… twin brother? Is he as cute as you?”
I scoffed loudly and smirked at my best friend.
“Z… aren’t you married and distinctly not interested in polyamory?”
“... that is beside the point. I was simply asking if your wife’s brother is as handsome as she is pretty. Just cause I already have dinner doesn’t mean I can’t look at the menu.”
Before Emily or I had a chance to respond, we heard someone walking towards us from the direction of the cafe. All three of us turned and saw Kimiko, who rushed over to give both of us a hug.
“Allie, how are you?”
“I’m good, Kim. How are you?”
“My daughter and future daughter-in-law are shopping for their wedding dresses, and they asked me to come help them… hon… this is every mother’s dream!”
I grinned at her excitedly and gazed over at Em. She slid her hand into mine as we pulled away from her mother and the three of us moved towards the boutique. Zoe held the door open for us, Kim, Emily, and I easily passing underneath her arm as she did so. She snorted and rolled her eyes as she walked in behind us.
“If I knew I was gonna tower over everyone like a freakin’ giant I wouldn’t have worn heels.”
“Oh shut up, Z… you know you love it.”
“How tall are you, Zoe?”
“If a guy asks me that question because he’s feeling super emasculated, I insist that I’m 5’11. Nothing funnier than making dudes who are clearly sensitive about their height even more keenly aware of how much shorter they are compared to me. But… in truth… I’m actually 6’6… well… with these heels on, I’m probably closer to… 6’8?”
Our conversation about our height differences was interrupted when a tan skinned woman who appeared to be in her late 50’s walked over to us. She smiled happily, the age lines on her face showing that it was something she did often.
“Zoe! Allie! It’s so good to see you both again. What brings you in today?”
“Hey Miss Maria, my uh… my fiancée Emily and I have an appointment at 3:30.”
The older woman’s eyebrows rose in surprise as she looked from me to Emily, who was still holding onto my hand tightly. Her grin got even wider and she beamed at me as she spoke.
“You remembered your promise!”
Emily spoke softly before I had a chance to respond.
“Promise?”
“The last time she was here helping Zoe get ready for her wedding, Allie promised me that when she finally got around to getting married, she would come back and let me design both her and her future wife’s dresses.”
She saw the puzzled look on Emily’s face and turned back to me
“I… I assume that is why you’re both here, yes?”
I nodded and opened my mouth to speak, but again Emily beat me to the punch.
“What do you mean designing our dresses? We aren’t just picking out ones we like and having them fitted?
Maria knitted her eyebrows and shook her head.
“While you will be able to look at various styles of dresses and tell us your thoughts on things you might like, ultimately, we will be designing a dress that is completely unique to you from top to bottom.”
Both Kim and Emily’s eyes went wide upon hearing this, and they each turned towards me with curious glances. Maria chuckled and gave us a amused grin before also turning to me. I let out an exasperated sigh before holding up my hands in a placating gesture.
“Before you say anything, I didn’t tell you cause I knew you would try to talk me out of it. But… what’s the point of being rich if I can’t spoil the fuck out of my future wife. Uh… sorry for swearing Miss Maria.”
“Think nothing of it, dear. Come, Miss Zoe, let’s catch up while Allie attempts to get out of the hole she’s found herself in.”
Maria and Zoe walked further into the small boutique that was cluttered with colorful cloth in various patterns and a wide assortment of mannequins, each wearing a different style of dress. Emily and her mother whispered to one another for a moment before the shorter woman nodded silently and moved to follow the others into the back. Emily turned back and moved towards me with a glare on her face.
“You told me we were just going wedding dress shopping, Allison. You didn’t say anything about getting a dress custom made. I thought we agreed that we were gonna keep this simple, babe.”
“I know! I know! And I promise we can still keep things mostly simple! But… I thought about you wearing a dress that was specifically designed for you… and… I couldn’t not do it. Even if I hadn’t promised Miss Maria I would come back here someday, I only ever want the best for my girl. I almost never splurge on anything, Em… so… can I please do this for you…. for us?”
She sighed loudly and pursed her lips as she studied my face. After a moment a smile crept across her lips and she rolled her eyes and moved so that she was less than an inch away from me. She put her arms around me and kissed me once before leaning forward and pressing her forehead against mine.
“You’re lucky you’re so damn cute, you know that? Just… promise me that you’ll talk to me before you go and make any huge purchases like this. We need to start making decisions like this as a couple, yeah?”
I nodded slightly and kissed her again.
“You’re right. I’m sorry for not telling you. I’ll understand if you don’t wanna–”
“Are you kidding me?! Getting my own custom wedding dress?! Of course I wanna do that! If my future wife wants to spoil me with something I could only dream about, how can I say no to that?”
I laughed softly and rolled my eyes. She gave me a wry grin and pulled away. She slid her hand back into mine and led me into the back of the store.
