Komi-san
[3rd POV : Komi-san]
Exam was coming near. Only two weeks were left until then.
Around this time, Komi would have been studying like a mad scientist - not because she liked it but because she did not have other things to do.
Two weeks before the exam sounds like the time to give your absolute best if you wanted to be the topper.
Yet Komi was not studying - let's rephrase that - she could not study.
There she sat, in her study table, inside her room.
Alone.
There were multiple books on the table. From the first notes that she took at the beginning of the year to the latest notes she made, everything was on the table.
From anyone's perspective, Komi was studying.
But she was not. Komi was not actually studying but instead, she was preparing study materials she would use to help her friends.
Yes, help her friends. That was what Komi-san was doing.
And she loved it.
The school textbooks she had opened multiple times in the past simply to get perfect grades and feel a sense of accomplishment had never been more enjoyable.
She was finally going to be able to help Yuito after he had helped her so much. She was ecstatic that she got a chance to help him.
He had always been the kind to solve his own problems and also other's problems. Komi reckoned it would be rare when he asked for help.
Luckily she got that chance.
While every student cursed exam and whoever invented such a thing, Komi was extremely happy towards the one who invented it. She love exams now.
Oh and Marin. Komi really wanted to help her too.
Yuito may have asked her casually but she took it very seriously. She would make sure both of them ace their exam.
"...." Komi read through the textbooks from the beginning chapter and reviewed all the important points. She also crossed check the chapters with past questions she got in her hand, trying to understand how the questions will come.
No one was there to witness it, but in that extremely neat and lonely room, Komi's lips were curved into a smile.
Yes. Even she did not realise it herself but she was smiling.
She was actually smiling, like a normal person.
Her smile seemed to only grow wider and wider as she thought about her two friends from school. Especially when she remembered that they would come to her house.
Having friends over to her house, that has always been a dream of hers. And now it was going to come true.
Komi thought of how happy she was to have friends and thinks that if everyone had friends, no one would be sad in this world.
Time ticked away while she was immersed in her work, making simplified notes and highlighting important points. She also thought about how she was going to explain certain math problems to Yuito in her mind.
After some time, she leaned back on her seat and let out a satisfied smile. She was almost done for the night.
She looked towards the clock and noticed that it was eight, she unconsciously smiled again when she saw the time.
'It's nearly time.' She thought to herself before dragging her body onto the bed.
She was wearing a lose white pajama top while she was only in her panties. Her black bra was also showing from the wide neck of the shirt.
The top was big enough to cover her thighs so Komi was not worried about only being in her panties. Also, it was comfortable and she was in her own room.
She laid on her bed and her feet played with each other expectantly. Not long after the time finally came.
*BzzzzzzBzzzzzz*
Her phoned was ringing.
Komi sat up on the bed and crawled towards the table near the bed where she kept her phone. She took it and looked at her phone.
And just as she had expected, it was Marin.
Her best friend.
Marin had made it a routine to call her at this hour and speak to her about all sorts of stuff, well it was mostly about Yuito but Komi didn't mind.
She was just happy she was on a call with a friend.
Marin's call had become longer and more frequent especially since she started going out with Yuito.
Marin would tell her how she was feeling and what happed with Yuita and what happed between them.
Komi did not like hearing that at first but she quickly learned that Marin was not saying it in any way to make her sad. In fact, the way she talked about Yuito had not changed from how she talked about him before they started dating.
And not all the talk were about Yuito. They would also talk about different things, from animes, shows, girl's stuff, celebrities, fashion etc.
Especially about fashion, Marin was extremely interested in it and she had also asked Komi multiple times to become a model.
Though Komi always rejected the idea, she was shy just thinking about posing in front of the camera and other people.
But Marin never forgot to invite her time and time again, saying that she would change the game and dominate the modelling industry.
All thing said, Komi was happy.
Komi laid back on her bed with her phone on speaker. On the onther side, Marin began recounting what happed between her and Yuito after Komi left them.
Apparently they went on a date. Komi was a tiny bit jealous and bitter but as she listened to Marin and how happy she was talking about it, Komi began enjoying it as well.
Komi tapped her screen and went to the messaging section where she typed in her response while Marin talked through the phone.
This was a way they would communicate. Marin would talk on the call and Komi would talk through message.
And we shouldn't forget to mention the emojis. They had been a lifesaver for Komi in expressing herself.
She love Emojis.
