Her mother

After skimming through the email from Joe Rogan himself again and again, Sumire finally called me out for breakfast.

After eating breakfast I quickly changed into my uniform.

It was time for school again. I wonder if I could just act like I had a stomach ache and skip school. I know everyone does that at some point in their life.

But I didn't follow through that plan.

"Gotta go, love you, bye, think about me." I gave a peck on Sumire's lips while hurridely saying so. Then I went out of the house, Kurumi's bark was the last thing I heard as I ran to my school.

I was late. Yet again.

{Okay, here we go again.}

'Shut up.' I said while jumping over a fence and running across roads even though it was not a red light nor the zebra crossing.

"Hey!! Be careful kid!!" one man in a car called out to me. An office worker, I assumed, from the dark circles under his eyes.

'God, our county needs to do something about that.'

"Sorry!!!" I yelled back but I did not heed his advice and continued running across the roads and recklessly jumping over things.

After a number of obstacles and a few share of screams, I finally reached my school, just in time to hear the start of the bell.

"Fucking shit." I cursed and ran through the school grounds and the hallway before reaching my class.

With a loud whine, I slide open the door, "Present sir!!" I responded just in time as my name was called out.

The teacher groaned, "Late again are we, Fujita."

My eyes scanned the class before resting on the figure of Komi who was sitting elegantly with her back straight and impeccable form.

I waved at her, "hi!!"

"Fujita-san." The teacher called.

Right.

Class started normally so I assumed that it was going to be normal but it was anything but.

It was a monumental day.

"Exam?" I repeated my teachers words dumbly while everyone in class turned to me. Some laughed while some frowned.

"Yes Fujita-san. Your exam starts in two weeks." The teacher repeated his words.

I narrowed my eyes suspiciously. I thought it was still....forever away!! Does that mean I have to catch up months of studying in two weeks?

Could I do that?

"I thought it was at least two months away?" I asked the teacher. It was a dumb question and I received an equally silly answer.

"Two months ago, it was two months away." The teacher said and everyone laughed.

Well, I had the author by my side. He will just help me and tell me the answer like he did with the quizz. He googled the question and told me the answers in real time.

'Right Author?"

{Nope. I ain't helping.}

"Shit."

'I need to study. But could I really cover everything in two weeks?' I asked myself as my mind thought about the best course of action.

'A tuition? A study group? Online classes?' I thought about different approaches before an great idea struck me. I immediately turned to my side and eyed Komi up and down.

Komi flinched and nervously turned to me.

'She is perfcet.'

I recalled, she was the top student. She could teach me in this remaining two weeks. I could cover the ones that needed memorization like History, English and even Science.

What I needed help in was Math and other theoretical subjects.

Komi tiled there head and I imagined a question mark appearing abov her head.

'Lets see how well a person with extreme social anxiety can teach another person.'

I was not that worried since I had the skill [Komi's language.] which was already at advanced level. I reckoned I would be able learn without any issue.

Possibily.

'Probably.' I shrugged.

"Okay class, let us begin by revising from chapter 5. Everyone please turn to page 127...."

Andddd....

I am out.

"So you wouldn't mind?" I asked while biting down on the loaf of bread I got from the school cafeteria.

Sumire couldn't make breakfast and even my school lunch but I didn't complain because I was the reason she couldn't.

And besides, when I thought back on last night, I knew it was worth the sacrifice. I got hard again just thinking about it again.

'Damnit. When will this crazy libido end?' I grumbled in my mind.

(Not at all.) I read what Komi wrote on her notebook. I had asked her if she cool with giving me a tuition and I didn't know why but she was not only willing but also very excited with the idea.

I could only guess that it may be because she felt weirdly indebted to me and was excited to help.

"Really? I won't bother you? Don't you need to study yourself?" I asked while chewing on my bread. It was a such a downgrade to the exquisite lunch I always had.

Komi shook her head before scribbling on her notebook again.

(I don't mind at all.) She turned the page as she blushed and hid her face behind her note.

(After all friends help each other.)

"That's cute." I commented and she blushed harder. I wonder where she learned such corny lines though.

We were sitting opposite to each other on her table. I brought my chair and sat there like I would in a restaurant while our foods were on the table.

Then Komi's gaze went behind me and her eyes narrowed as if seeing someone she knew. I raised an eyebrow and turned back just in time to see Marin quickly hiding behind the door.

"huh? What's her deal?" I asked myself. Marin stealthily peeked her head to spy but she noticed that she was completely exposed.

She sighed and smoothened her uniform before walking to me with an embarrassment she failed to hide on her face.

My mind worked to figure out why she was like that before I realized that it was probably because of what happened yesterday.

I didn't know why I needed to ponder to realize something so obvious. Maybe my race was making me think that sex was a casual thing.

"Good morning Marin." I greeted her with a teasing smile and her fair face was dyed red. She took a chair from one of the table and sat by my side.

I watched her actions with amused eyes. "ummm..What were you guys talking about?" She said, hopeful to get her mind into anything else.

Then I told her about my plans of making Komi my tutor before the exam. Marin's eyes practically sparkled when she heard it.

"That's great!! I want in too." She said excitedly, her embarrassment long forgotten. She then turned to Komi with puppy eyes.

"I can tag along, right?" She asked and Komi gave a double nod. Which means more than yes.

Double yes.

"But where will we do it?" Marin asked. Honestly I didn't think of that before.

We discussed on where we would have the study together and at first we thought Marin's house was the best idea because she lived there alone but since it was the furthest from Komi's house and because we didn't want to burden her any further, we decided to do it in her house.

So, we will go to Komi's house everyday after school to study. It would be around 2 hours everyday where Komi would teach us only the important parts and give us some work.

A student life was crazy. We refused to learn from our teacher which we payed to educate us but we were more than eager to learn from a friend.

Honestly it's kind of funny.

After that the school continued. At the end of the school we had a gym class where I absolutely dominated any activity our coach proposed.

Suffice to say I did not need help with my grades there.

In the end, school came to an end. Komi and I did not leave our class and waited for Marin. After which we all walked home together.

I didn't know why but I was quite eager to go to Komi's house. I nearly proposed starting the study today but held myself back.

Truly, I wonder why I was so excited.

{Maybe because of her mother.} the author said.

I paused.

"Right, her mother."
