Joe Rogan

It was early in the morning and I still haven't check my phone and when I looked at one of the notification, my brows knitted in disbelief.

It was a Email from someone named....

"Joe Rogan?" I muttered in disbelief

I quickly opened the email and my eyes turned into a shringan as I quickly began reading the contents of the email.

[Hello Yuito. First of all I would like to congratulate you for your amazing performance in the Junior Karate World Championship and for winning it. I have seen a lot of Karate matches in my life but your fights, especially your last match was one of the best Karate match I had ever witnessed.]

I paused, "No fucking way.."

Joe Rogan was watching my fight and not only that, he was praising me.

[I don't know if you know me but, my name's Joe Rogan. I am a Karate and Taekwondo black belt, a comedian, a podcaster and many other things but I want to introduce myself as someone from the UFC today.]

"The UFC huh..."

Joe Rogan was an extremely influential man in my previous. He was the host of the most popular podcast in the world, gathering millions of viewers around the world.

He was also known for his expertise and knowledge in MMA and his position as a spokeperson for the UFC.

Though he still did not hold such influence in this world yet as it was still 2017. He had already created the Joe Rogan experience and it did fairly well too, but still not comparable to what he would achieve later on.

I was always a small fan of his in my past life so it was quite an exciting event for me to receive an email from him. Who knows, I could be in his show when he becomes popula, like I always wanted to.

[I have seen your fights, not only your Karate matches but also your wrestling, boxing and even Muay Thai etc. and I think Japan had some great potential hidden in her small island. The UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship as it's name suggest, is probably the biggest competition where the greatest fighter across the globe compete for the number one spot. I was wondering if you are interested.]

The UFC? Wait, it can't be that they are interested in me, can it? That wouldn't make sense as I still did not even have a a single MMA match.

Though joining the UFC was always a part of my plan. To become the greatest fighter in the world I needed to be at the UFC where the best in the world gathered and competed.

To be the strongest, I would obviously need to beat the strong.

I was always wondering how I would get into the UFC and I couldn't believe that the UFC came to me and not the way around.

People would have to fight through many challenges to even get in the UFC and make a debut but I had an opportunity like this.

How lucky am I?

{The plot armor is thick in this one.} the author said.

"Yeah." I replied before reading again but this time carefuly.

[I don't know whether you are even interested in MMA at all but I couldn't help but reach out to you because as a man who loves combat sport, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I let a potential like you rot away. I hope you are not satisfied with merely winning the championship as I know you can do way more.]

No. I was definitely not satisfied.

I wanted to be the best. The strongest.

I won't be satisfied with just this.

[So what I am getting at is, we at the UFC would be more than willing to take you in.]

An opportunity. It just came to me in a golden platter. Not even silver.

'Have they ever even talked to another fighter like this?' I wondered. The UFC was a prestigious fighting organization which gained a spike in popularity especially after a certain someone appeared there.

Do they see insane potential in me to reach out to me first? Is that it?

'So...am I just that amazing?'

{No, no, Don't feed your narcissism.}

'I must be.'

[Though obviously we wouldn't sign a contract with you right away. We would need some MMA matches under your belt to see if you are really good or not. Usually we don't cater to a fighter like this but consider yourself an exception. Coming from Japan and all, we wanted to support you any way we can.]

[I am saying all this but you don't have to feel pressured or anything. Everything is entirely your choice. Think about it for few days and if you really wanted an opportunity and a chance to enter the UFC.....]

Yes.

YES!!

My blood boiled as I read the last text

[Hit me up anytime.]

I was shaking in excitement when I considered things carefully.

Did that just happen?

..

..

{That's nice and all but are you sure you can do it? Being number one I mean.} the author said, I listened.

{We know that this world is way crazier and stronger than you ever expected. You sure you can do it?} he said, but his tone betrayed his words.

He was not doubting me. He was encouraging me.

I laughed. Like really laughed.

That was the funniest shit I had ever heard.

"Oh, you think I wouldn't be able to do it? With all these opportunity and blessings? If I couldn't then I would be a disgrace." I said.

{Yeah I know, but they would be crazy strong.}

That is true.

This world had absolute monsters as fighters.

There are fighters out there who could literally copy any techniques with just a single glance. There are people who have ultra instinct and many crazy shits.

In this world, or rather in the world of 'Viral hit' and 'Lookism'. People could lift cars, destroy pure concrete with just their fist, bend steel and some of the stronger ones are said to be so fast with their attacks that it reached supersonic speed.

This was scary. Extremely scary.

But you know what is scarier?

Even with these fighters/characters which did not exist in my old world. Even with all those supernaturally strong fighters....

The champions of the UFC are virtually the same....

How about that.

Georges St. Pierre.

Conor MacGregor

Jon Jones

Stipe Miocic

Those guys who were already dangerous and scary in my past life would have been thoroughly buffed to be able to hold their same title in this world which was significantly stronger than my previous world.

So these crazy monsters. I would have to beat them to be number 1.

But this did not discourage me. No, far from it. They made me so excited.

[Title : Martial Artist.]

The martial artist inside me wanted to be the best. To fight all these monsters and be at the top. I didn't want anything less, I won't accept anything less.

I wanted to be the one who beat the Notorious Conor MacGregor and stop his monumental run in the UFC.

I wanted to prove my superiority against Georges St.Pierre who was considered as the greatest martial artist in the UFC.

I wanted to beat Jon Jones who was claimed to be the most dangerous and complete fighter to have ever existed.

I wanted to beat them all.

"Haaa...I was finished with my training but it seems like I won't anymore." I said to myself as I got off the floor and looked at all my equipment in the room.

There was no way I could rest and be done right now.

I was too worked up to rest.

'At the top.'

"That's where I'll rest."
