The voice inside
[15 years later]
"Your football skills may be average but damn do you have crazy stamina. Do you even get tired?"
I look towards my senpai who is taking huge breaths while he is bending down. He is the captain of the football team. He is tall, well built and have curly brown hair. I respond to his statement with a smile.
"It would take more than just running around to get me tired." I say with some sweat rolling down my neck. The whole thing just feels like a good warm up to me while my senpai`s condition is similar to that of a fish trying to breathe air.
"Your a monster." he says, collapsing on the ground with a limp body.
I ignored his comment and say, "If that`s all, I will be heading home."
I use my shirt to wipe my sweaty face and then I look around to see the few girls who are taking the chance to look at my naked torso. But they quickly remove their eyes when I look around.
We are currently at my school football field and there are quite a lot of people around. Most of us present are members of the football club, while some are here to simply train or to watch.
"Sure. Not like you needed the training anyways." he says with a wave of his hand whilst his back is on the ground. He has decided to lay down on the grassy field instead of standing.
"Then see you on Monday." I say, my senpai gives me a thumbs up and I leave the field.
I go to the locker room and take a bottle of cold water from the insulated container and fully finish the contents.
Throwing away the plastic bottle, I look around the small and messy locker room which smells like a man's sweat. I quickly find my locker and go there to change my clothes.
My body finally cooled down and I take off my jersey and change into my school uniform. While I am changing, I call out in a low whisper...

I smile when I see my status. I have worked extremely hard to achieve my current status and I can`t help but swell up my chest in pride.
During the years I have learnt that what I have is not really a system but merely a status window. It did nothing to help me improve my stats and even the skills I got is earned through blood and sweat.
I also learned that the average stat is 10 points. I don`t have a way to observe the stats of others but I come to know this when I reached 10 points in each stat. I realize then that I was as strong, as fast etc as the average man.
The only cheat that I seem to have is that I have no stat limitation. If I put in enough work I can potentially reach superhuman. Even now, my physical feats bordered that of superhuman.
Especially my agility. It is not official but I am faster than the fastest runner in the world.
When I know this I instantly know what path I want to follow. I am going to be a world champion fighter or an accomplished athlete. I favor the former though.
My physical advantage was too much to ignore. So I was determined to make sure to squeeze that advantage.
Also in my past life I was also a fighter. I was not trying to be world champion or anything but combat always interest me.
I have won many national competition in this aspect. Making a name for myself in the world of combat sport as a rising star.
My titles are earned through accomplishing something or displaying certain traits. My title [Prodigy] was earned when I always got the highest mark and when I quickly pick up martial arts way faster than the others.
My titles do not do anything except just being there to make me cool or to embarrass me.
My skills also have to be earned. I have plethora of skills raging from cooking, cleaning, singing, jerking off etc. It is so much that I have to stop displaying useless skills like 'Eating' etc from the status window.
The smile won`t leave my face as I continued looking at my status window. As I promised I did not waste my opportunity and worked as hard as I can.
Wining sports competition in national levels and investing my winning money to business and companies etc. I have accomplished many things in this life and I am just getting started.
I even have a hot girlfriend!!! Something I can only wish in my previous life.
The world I am in is normal from what I have seen so far without any supernatural or magical elements but that did not bother me one bit.
'I am going to have a fulfilling life. no matter what!!'
{That is kind of disappointing coming from my main character.}
I widen my eyes and look around the small locker room. No one is in here but I swear I heard a voice.
'Am I hearing things?'
{Yes, you are hearing me.}
Again.
The same voice.
Its inside my head.
There is a voice inside my head!!!
"Hello?" I greet the voice inside my head. I do not know if it can hear my thoughts so I spoke up.
{Sup.}
The voice sounds like a young man. That fact make my suspicion that the voice may be my system or something disappear. From what I know systems are suppose to sound robotic until I choose their gender. Right?
{You read too many fanfics.}
Fuck.
It can hear my thoughts. Is this world not a normal one as I first believed? Then I wonder how fucked I am considering I am barely superhuman level.
Lets rewind and think back on what he has said. He said 'That is kind of disappointing coming from my main character.'
What does that mean exactly? The main character? Am I the main character of some fanfiction or something?
{Exactly.}
I freeze.
"Who are you?" I nearly scream.
{I am glad you asked.}
The voice pause, leaving me in anticipation for his next words. My mind run faster than ever and my heartbeat came to a halt.
I held my breath.
I don`t know if I should be scared or terrified.
{Well, my dear Yuito. I am the Author.}
