Home Visit

She knew how to dress up.

"Yo..~" she greeted me while bending her knees and giving me a small salute.

She smiled widely. So wide that her eyes were forced to close due to her smile.

"You really came." I said with a sigh but I was also smiling.

"Of course. As I said, I am your only friend." She said with a teasing smile while my smile cracked.

This girl. She won`t let it go. When she had said this in the hospital my mother told her how I said I have many friends.

And she found the fact that I lied about having friends extremely sad and funny.

"Now, are you going to let me dissolve here in the heat or are you inviting me inside." She said while putting her hand on her wasit.

"I am considering." I told her.

"So rude." she huffed. Then she pushed me inside the house and entered shamelessly as if she owned the place. She looked around curiously.

"Wha~ You have such a nice house!!" she exclaimed and looked around like she was sightseeing in a museum.

"Kitagawa-san is that you?" my mother called from the kitchen. She could not be seen but her voice reached us without a problem.

"Yes, Mrs Fujita!!" she replied enthusiastically.

Main rummaged her yellow bag and took out a paper bag from it. "I got sweets!!" she said.

I said thanks and politely received the gift from her but while I was doing so, she got out her phone and took multiple pictures of the house.

"What are you doing?" I asked, a bit weirded out.

"My friends told me to take pictures of where you live." she said nonchalantly while continuing snapping her phone camera.

"You should get permission first you know." I said and went to her.

"Come on~ don't be like that. It's just pictures." she said and showed me the pictures she snapped on her phone.

"Hey, where is your room? Can you show me?" She asked while covering her mouth with her phone. She was looking at me with big eyes.

She definitely knew how to get what she wants.

"Okay, but no pictures." I told her and she nodded.

We both went upstairs and I lead her to the door of my room. I opened the door for her and she immediately went in.

Even before me.

'This girl.' I helplessly shook my head with a tired smile

My room was quite spacious with a bed, study table, computer table and other furniture but what would catch the eyes of people was the gigantic mirror.

But she checked non of that and immediately made a beeline to my bed.

Her first action was to look under my mattress and when she didn't find anything she looked under the bed.

After she didn't find anything she stood up and her shoulder slumped down in disappointment. "I really thought you would hide it there." she sighed.

"Hide what?" I asked as I walked inside.

She looked away, a bit shy, "..Your dirty magazines."

"What? Do you think I am some anime harem protagonist?"

"Maybe?" she shrugged, "You never know."

I sighed as I walked to my study table. I opened my drawers and said, "There are mobile phones now. No one reads magazines at this age."

I picked up a pen from my study table and broke it apart. I pulled out the ink and showed it to her.

"Even if I have a magazine, you are mistaken if you think I would hide it in someplace so obvious." I told her and she looked at me with mouth wide open in shock.

I used the ink refill of the pen and insert it in a hole right below my drawer. It produced a tick sound before the bottom of my drawer broke off.

"A fake bottom!!" Marin said and she came closer to see it.

Under that fake bottom was a magazine.

"No way, Kira." she said, stunned.

"That is so cool!!!" she said and came closer to observe the mechanic behind my drawers.

It was just like how Light from 'Death note: hides his death note, except for the explosions of course.

I made it when I got bored many years ago.

{My main character got that weeb rizz.} the author praised me.

I smiled.

---__---__---__---__

"Is this mirror here to feed your narcissism?" Marin asked me while she looked herself in the mirror.

I watched her dryly when she suddenly imitate me while looking herself in the giant mirror, "Look at my handsome self?" she did some poses.

"My beauty should be illegal?" she did another pose and she made her voice deeper.

"Too bad I can't fall in love with myself?" she said again, imitating me.

"Okay, stop, stop. STOP!!" I said, my face became hot and she laughed when she saw my reactions.

"I never do that!!!" I denied, after all I only joke about those things in my mind.

"Sure you do. You do it all the time while looking at yourself on the window beside you." she said with an amused smile.

Now I was dying with embarrassment. I never knew I act out on my thoughts, damnit!!

{I am dying due to second hand embarrassment.}

'Author please kill me and reincarnate someplace else.' I begged.

{No can't do.}

'Fuck it.' I slumped down on my bed and covered my face. I didn't want the world to see me.

Marin helpfully sat next to me while laughing. She patted me on my shoulder and console me, "Sorry, sorry. No need to be embarrassed. Its not like you do it all the time and even if you do, you're usually really quiet." she said.

"I was only able to catch few moments because I was always looking at you. I don't think anyone else would see you." She said and I paused.

"Always looking at me?" I asked and saw her widen her eyes in shock.

"Huh...?" She blushed, not able to utter a word.

Oh.

OH!!!.

Is that a weakness I see?

'Time to counterattack.'

"Why were you looking at me anyways?" I said and moved closer to her. She retreated while she mumbling that she didn't mean what she said and it was only a coincidence that she caught me.

I continued to tease her until she got used to it and after that we just discussed few animes together, specifically Death Note.

The discussion got a bit heated because - you will not believe it - she liked Light Yagami more then L!!!

After that, we went downstairs where my mother and Marin met again and I think they got along much better now.

My mother was also very welcoming to her and except for the few times that she asked a few personal question, she was very nice to Marin.

After that we just watched anime movies in the living room and Marin went home after having lunch.

I went to school on Monday and my life continued as normal. I was also trying to spend more time with Sumire and invited her to watch TV shows and stuff but it was all baby steps.

I call it, Operation MM (Mom is mine)

Weeks passed. Days passed faster and I returned to training in the second week.

Then, as sudden as the truck hit me, the Junior Karate Championship loomed over me.

I guess it's time to beat some asses and get famous for it.

My opponent would be the necessary sacrifice towards my ultimate goal.

Let's go.
