Scared
[Yuito's POV]
I stirred the egg into the frying pan and spread it out. The heat was low so that only the egg in direct contact with the pan would be fried.
In a show of skills and expertise, I flipped the egg and made a cocoon. The outside layer was cooked while I kept the inside nice and creamy.
"Mom?" I called out as Sumire came to my side with a plate of rice. I took the frying pan and flicked out the egg to be on top of the rice.
"Voila." I said with a smile, "The ultimate omlette."
Sumire looked down at the plate and at the perfectly fired omellete. She let out a smile which was a mix between pride and fear. She was afraid that if I continued improving, her position as the cook might be in danger.
From an absolute amateur in cooking skill - mainly because I was spoiled by my mother - I have improved and now, my cooking was decent even with Sumire's standard.

[Cooking : Master]
....
If this is not character development and peak storytelling, I don't know what is.
Sumire took up a spoon and took a bite out of the egg as the liquidy inside spilt out in delight. She stayed silent as she tasted my food.
"It's pretty good." She said with a pensive look.
"Pretty good, she says. We both know that's world-class." I said with a smirk. My cooking skill was at master so it was definitely world-class.
"No, it's a bit overcooked on this side." She said while pointing at the very edge which was barely burnt. "And a little too salty."
I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her in, "You're the one salty."
I looked down at her, she was short 5'5 while I was already 6'1. She looked adorable when she looked up at me with a barely held-back pout.
Gone was the elegant milf, it was replaced by a girl upset that someone was going to beat her at what she was good at.
"Am not."
"Is too."
"Am not."
"Is too." I said and she stayed silent. She gave me a serious look in the eye before she tip-toed and kissed me on my lips.
It was a brief kiss and she immediately pulled back, "Am not."
A victorious smile graced her face as she walked away and sat on the dining table, while I was rooted on the spot. It took me a few moments to get myself together as my heart had skipped more than a beat.
"That's cheating." I said and went to the dining table to sit as well. There was already a fried rice with an omelette on top for me.
There were Kurumi in her wolf form and Sumire on the table. Sumire was wearing her casual clothing while I wore my uniform. It was to be my first day for school as a third year.
Before I took a bite, I turned towards the living room and called out, "Marin!! Food's read!!"
"Coming!!" came a reply after a few seconds as she entered the kitchen.
I paused for a moment and took the time to appreciate her beauty. Her face was as beautiful as the first time I met her but there were hints of maturity which boosted her charm.
Her body was also not like when she was a first year as they have developed nicely. Her curves were more pronounced and her assets were also bigger now. She was extremely sexy.
The uniform she wore was also a little different as the third years wore a unique uniform than the rest of the students.
All in all, she was stunningly attractive and had grown up nicely.
"You look great." I commented to which I received a big beaming smile.
"Thank you."
She came and sat at the table with us and we all had breakfast. But there was a hint of hurry in our actions as we need to get to school soon.
We quickly finished our food and Marin and I were ready to leave the house.
"Yuito, hurry. We can't keep Komi waiting." She said as she put on her shoes near the door.
"Right." I responded before going to Kurumi and kissing the lazy wolf on the nose.
I went to Sumire and she hugged me when I was close to her.
"I hate school." She took the words right out of my mouth.
It had been full of holidays and now we were starting school again so her displeasure was expected. After we all leave, she would be alone with Kurumi after all.
"You're adorable." I gave her a goodbye kiss, "Stay adorable when I return."
I bid her farewell as we left for the first day of school in three years.
Just one more year.

[3rd POV]
'Today was amazing.' Saki thought to herself as she walked around the different shelves of books in the shop.
It was the end of the first day of high school for her and it was everything she imagined and more.
She had changed everything about herself and had found confidence in herself with the help of Yuito. She thought the first impression she made on her classmates was great.
Being beautiful had its perks as the girls all wanted to hang out with her and the boys were kind and caring towards her.
It was the first day of school and she already made friends. She couldn't believe this was happening to her, it was a dream come true.
'And it's all because of him.' she thought fondly as Yuito's image came to her mind.
As she was looking at different magazines in the shop, she suddenly felt a presence behind her and she looked back.
It was a young man, an adult, who seemed to be around 23 and was dressed fashionably.
Some might say he was handsome but Saki thought nothing of it. Every man was like an NPC to her now after she fell for Yuito.
She felt a touch on her shoulder which made her uncomfortable because it was pressing on her sensually and pervertedly.
"Hey there pretty lady, what's your name?"
.
.
She felt a lump in her throat. She was having a bad feeling about this man.
The hand on her shoulder went down and she shivered as he felt her up and down. She took a step back to remove his hand but his grip tightened.
"Don't be nervous. I just wanted to know your name. You are beautiful." He said, flashing her a smile.
Her heartbeat would quicken and she would feel good when Yuito complimented her but she did not feel such things when he called her beautiful.
She looked at the face of a man and his plastic smile full of hidden intentions.
Being beautiful might have it's perks but it also have it's downside. Saki was learning this now.
'I'm scared.'
