Hospital visit

"Careful, it's hot."

I nodded like a good boy and I prepared myself for what was to come.

"Say ahhh~" my mother chirped as she carefully brought a spoon near my mouth.

"ahh~" I opened my mouth and allowed my mother to feed me.

"Good." my mother nodded with a bright smile before pulling the spoon out of my mouth. She scooped another spoonful before bringing it to my mouth again.

"ahhh~" I opened my mouth again, eager to eat. My mother had cooked the food at home and had brought it to the hospital. 'I am not going let my son eat the bland hospital food especially when he is injuired!!' she had declared.

And I couldn't be happier. Nothing beats a home cooked meal, especially your mother's.

{This is so embarrassing.} I heard the author groan in my head.

He had complained multiple times about my mother feeding me like a baby but I didn`t care.

'You are just jealous. After all, what color is your mother's cooking?'

{Dude, I am not jealous at all!! I am just ashamed , and you should be too!!}

Now why would I be ashamed? Sure, what I was doing is embarrassing but it's not like anyone was seeing it. It is only my mother and me afterall.

{I see you!!!}

{You were 17 in your previous life and with your new life, you are 32 years old. A grown ass man. You are as old as your mother!!}

Well, that's just not fair, counting my previous life. Your body had a lot to do with your maturity after all.

'I stopped aging mentally when I was 14.'

{I can tell.}

'Smartass.'

Oh, and now that I think about it, it's quite insane that my mother is only 32 years old. It means that she was only 17 years old when she had me.

It must've been tough for her. I was her age once and I couldn`t have imagined being a parent at that age.

I didn't know shit about my father but two things I was sure of are :- he was an asshole and a pedophile. I haven`t even met the guy but he was probably the person I hated the most in the world.

'Surprisingly even more than that yellow haired bastard.'

I think I might beat him half to death if I ever saw him. He better pray that he didn't meet me.

What kind of an asshole impregnate a 17 year old and leave her? I did not know the exact details but I know some tidbits about what happened in the past.

My mother was in love with my father from a young age and they were together. When it was found out, she refused to leave him and this caused even her parents to disown her.

Having no one else in the world, she followed my father everywhere like a loyal dog but my father soon got tired of her and when she got pregnant, he finally left her.

I didn't know if my knowledge is true but this was the story I put together from our situation and my mother's frequent slip of tongue.

It was wild to imagine. Like shouldn't her parents sue the fuck out of my father instead of disowning her? What I knew was that my father was older than my mother. They could live together for a while after she was disowned afterall and her parents likley wouldn't have a problem if he was her age. He must be an adult or something.

But I guess the world I am in contains hentai world so nothing too weird about it. Maybe it was some taboo relationship like teacher-student?

"Hey, what are you thinking about? Come on, stop it and open your mouth." My mother's gentle tone snapped me back from my musing and I smiled brightly at her.

I was thankful for her and proud of her that she was so strong.

"ahh~" I closed my eyes and exaggeratedly leaned forward, causing my mother to let out sweet chuckles.

Too distracted with my mother's pleasant chuckles, I did not hear the door of our room opening.

"ahh~ *Womp*."

"Mommy's cooking is the best!!" I said with fake-childish excitement. My mother laughed harder.

'Yes, she had a really sad past and sacrificed a lot to raise me. No one would've blamed her if she left me in an orphanage or something but she took care of me. The least I could do is take care of her and make sure she is happy forever.'

Then I pulled back with a soft smile. But then heard something falling on the ground.

My eyes opened wide as I looked towards the door. My heart did flips in my chest when I saw that the door was open.

Yellow hair. Itan school uniform.

Marin.

I froze and just stared at her in shock. Her pupils had shrinked in shock and she just stood there like a statue. It seemed as if her soul left her body.

Her bag which she dropped due to shock layed beside her feet.

Then her expression shifted from shock to being creeped out. Then they changed into multiple emotions before finally settling on a judging expression.

She was judging me. I felt like she was looking at me as if she would look at a worm.

I heard glass cracking in reality and realized that it was the sound my dignity crumbling.

My dignity. My pride. All reduced to atoms.

{Hahahahahaha!! That's what you deserve!!} the author laughed.

His laughter returned some sense to me. I swallowed whatever food was left in my mouth before speaking.

"Hey....Marin. Funny seeing you here."

Yes, act like everything was normal. Refuse to acknowledge what happened.

My mother hearing that turned around and looked at Marin. Her eyes shook before they narrowed at her. Like a predator sizing up another predator.

Welp, Sucks to be me.

"That was just totally different from the image I had of you in my mind. I think I need to revaluate your character." Marin laughed while wiping a tear from the corner of her eyes.

"Ha Ha Ha." I imitate her laughing, "Very funny. So can we stop talking about my mother spoon feeding me." I said while looking at her.

"No, seriously. Who would've thought the ice prince Yuito Fujita would still be spoonfed by his mother. It's adorable." She laughed. "So cute~" she wispered.

She was sitting on the guest sofa while me and my mother were siting on the bed. She had been laughing non stop for a while and I couldn`t help but blush at all the teasing and especially when she called me cute.

"Yes, let us change the subject or else he might explode due to embarrassment." my mother chuckled with her hand elegantly covering her mouth. It was how she always acted with others except me. Elegant and somewhat distant.

She turned to me and her lips curved, her eyes were closed and her facial muscles scrunch up to perfectly imitate a smile. If an AI were to examine her expression it would claim that it was 100% a genuine smile.

But I knew better. That was not a smile, she didn`t smile like that. Instead I felt a chill run down my spine.

I imagined a dark aura coming off of her while her eyes darken.

"Yuito~ I thought you said you have no girl-friends." She said sweetly. Except it did not sound sweet in my ears. It sounded more like a threat.

"Um, I don`t." I said and my mother's expression got better but I saw Marin's smile dwindle.

'God, it is so hard to please two women at the same time.' I complained in my mind.

"But I do." I immediately said again. This time my mother face returned to a dangerous one while the Marin's smile returned to it's full glory.

Now I was back to square one.

{God you are so bad at this, and here I was thinking that this could be a harem story. I put the tag and everything but I think it is an impossible dream.} the author said sadly.

'Please bro. Shut up if you are not helping me.'

I racked my brain. I needed to find the perfect balance. There must be some words that would make them both happy.

"Well, Marin and I had become great friend in a short time. And when you asked me before, I was still not friends with Marin here." I said the truth.

And it works, I didn't know why I was so nervous.

{God of Harem help me. Give this guy some rizz.}

{I can`t believe you were struggling that hard for such simple things.}

"Okay, I get it honey." my mother smiled, this time it was genuine. She turned to Marin and examine her carefully.

Marin flinched under my mother's gaze but she was not someone who gets nervous interacting with people.

She rummaged through her bag and brought out something, " I brought some snacks for Fujita to enjoy." she said while showing the small gift she had brought.

My mother took it from her and said, "How nice of you Kitagawa san. I don't mean just the gift, it was so thoughtful of you to visit Yuito."

"Well, I figured since he has no friends, I should at least visit him." Marin said while rubbing the back of her head. She seemed flattered at my mother's praise.

My mother once again pause before she looked up again at me, then she sifted her eyes to Marin again, "Yuito has no friends?"

Marin dear, why are you digging my grave?

I audibly groaned and prayed to whoever was listening to help me.

{I am listening.}

{And the answer to your prayer is, 'Get fucked bitch, skill issue'.}

Fucking hell, praying will not help at all then.
