With Love

[Yuito's POV]

"No offense but you were only Komi's first friend but I am her best friend. Do you really think she would be able to keep what happened between you two from me?" she said with a knowing smile.

I was left dumbfounded as I analyzed the meanings behind her words.

So she already knew about what happened from Komi? Did the mute girl snitch? But she can barely talk. When? How? Why?

"What do you mean?" I asked again, and this time it was just to be sure.

"It means exactly as it sounds." she said, "I've known about what's going on for a while now."

"And you're an asshole for trying to keep it from me." she said as her tears started falling. Her smile stretched and her lips parted into a heart-wrenching frown.

"I was confused. I thought I did something wrong." I pulled her down and kissed her. She did not know how to respond at first but soon she went with my flow and we had a deep passionate kiss.

We were not using our tongues or even opening our mouths. Our lips simply met in a clash where our emotions overflowed.

I pulled her down and sat her on my lap. I hugged her trembling body as I tried to soothe her with kisses.

After a long time, she finally calmed down.

"Please, explain to me what happened."I asked her and she nodded before giving me her part of the story.

She said it happened while I was out of the country and went to Korea. She was spending a lot of time with Komi as I was present, but there was something that always felt strange between them.

Komi felt guilty whenever she was with Marin, especially when she was so good and kind to her. So she was reserved and couldn't help acting strange which Marin soon caught onto.

It was not long before Marin pushed her to a corner and confronted her about it. Komi, no matter how much she tried, was not a selfish scum like me so she folded.

She told Marin about what happened and cried a lot before she apologized. During this time, I still had not expressed my interest in her so Komi blamed herself and said she was the one who seduced me.

Komi thought her friendship with Marin was over but surprisingly Marin was okay with it and said she couldn't blame her for falling for me.

Marin wanted to talk to me about it as soon as I came back home. She did not want to have the discussion on the phone or disturb me when I was in an important tournament.

But even when I came back home, I was injured so it was not time to bring up the topic again either.

In the end, before she even got the chance to have the talk with me, I confessed to Komi and it made things more complicated.

At first, she thought it was just Komi who had feelings for me but that was proven to be wrong as I reciprocated to her feelings as well.

"So that brings us to our current situation." she said, "I don't know how to feel about it at this point."

"On one hand, I am angry that you go around picking up other girls just because I gave you a pass for your mother," she said and paused.

"But on the other hand, Komi really loves you." she looked me straight in the eye, "I saw it with my own eyes, she really loves you and I don't want to see her heartbroken."

"And I love you too much already to actually leave even if you decide to be with her." She finished.

I chuckled hearing her say all that, "So.....you are okay with it?" I asked with an awaiting expression.

"What do you think asshole?"

"You are not going to stop calling me that for a while will you?"

"Obviously, bastard."

She stayed quiet and her pink eyes glittered with a mix of tears and her contact lens.

"But yes. I'll ride along with whatever it is you are doing."

I was filled with relief when I heard that and I leaned in to kiss her but she stopped me.

"But no more taking in girls like candies," she said.

"Of course."

"And you won't reduce your attention or love towards me."

"Never even crossed my mind." I said and finally leaned in for a chaste kiss before pulling away.

"Then, I am okay with it." She said.

[3rd POV : Marin]

"So.....you are okay with it?"

Marin was not okay with it.

Which girl in their right mind would be okay with sharing the person they love the most? No girl with a sane mind would allow it.

Not only is it disrespectful to her but it hurts her as well. She could ignore Sumire because whatever mother's love fetish was going on, it was out of her control and even understanding.

And his mother couldn't marry him, nor could she bear him a child. So she always thought of it as Yuito loving his own mother but with extra steps.

But it was completely different with Komi. She was a different girl who had known Yuito for shorter period than her.

She was there when Yuito first became friends with her and asked her to help her since Komi can't communicate.

Maybe she had a fault in what happened as well. She recalled how all of this happened due to her inability to satisfy her own boyfriend's lust and a part of her felt ashamed because of it.

She remembered avoiding sex with him because the pleasure he gave was too much for a virgin like her. She also avoided it as she was embarrassed and did not want to have sex until she trained enough or got a bit better.

Maybe that's where she went wrong. A young teenage boy like Yuito had his needs after all, and that was a weakness other girls could take advantage of, and Komi did.

She was also responsible with Komi falling in love with him. She was new to all this relationship thing and did not set boundaries and at times, she almost seemed like she was supporting Komi to be with Yuito. She was too tolerant.

Now Komi was in love with him and it would break her heart if Yuito rejected her. She was aware of the problem Komi had with her social anxiety so it was obvious she wouldn't find someone like Yuito again who understands her and wouldn't take advantage of her.

And as her best friend, she didn't want to see Komi sad.

As someone who was in love with Yuito as well, she could imagine what being rejected would feel like and she did not want that for Komi.

But all of these were not good enough to accept a shared relationship so in the end, it really all came down to only one simple truth.

She loves Yuito.

She loves Yuito too much.

And love was a weakness.

Love was stupidity.

A woman will stay with her abusive boyfriend or a criminal boyfriend just because she fell too deeply in love with him.

It was a trap that made women stay with a man even if he is a drug dealer, a scumbag or even a killer.

Because love was hopeful. Maybe if she waits for more time, he will change. It is not as bad as it sounds, there are worse people.

Love smoothened all flaws.

Love breaks down all the barriers and standards you set for yourself. It will strip you of your dignity and make you a slave to the person you love.

Love was dangerous.

The same thing happened to Marin. The first thing that came to her mind when she realized he had been with Komi was not about leaving him or how she was going to confront him and maybe get revenge.

The first thing that came to her mind was an excuse that justified his actions. Even her mind was not on her side.

Instead of faulting him, she searched for fault in herself first. Such was the nature of too much love. Some might even call it toxic love.

Normally, Marin would never do something like that. She was a strong woman who loved the passion and dedication of people. She despises men with multiple women as it shows a lack of passion and dedication.

But love really changes people.

She tried to find a way to accept the situation. The Muslims were the first thing that came to her mind, the men could have a harem of wives if the girls accepted and if he could take care of them.

Yuito could surely take care of all of them and if those Muslim girls can share their man for their religion and culture, she could too because of her love for Yuito, right?

What was monogamy anyways? It was just a concept invented recently. A few hundred years ago, kings and powerful men had harems right?

Yuito was definitely strong and powerful.

She did not even need to be convinced as she worked hard to convince herself. She brought down all of her standards and morals for him.

She changed for him.

But at least she knew he was serious about her. She did not fail to notice how he said he liked Komi but he said he loved her.

Her previous reaction was also a test. To see if he was willing to let her go so easily, to see if he would be willing to fight for her.

How much does he want her if he could get other girls just like that? With his looks and popularity, he could get plenty of girls even other than Komi.

But she was not disappointed as he refused to let her go.

'Never let me go Yuito.'

So she decided to just ride along with the unpredictable storm that was Yuito. He saved her life after all and she decided her life was his from that moment.

Everyone took a risk in their life at one point, be it for their dream, their family, or their country.

And she too will risk it for her love.

Hopefully, he doesn't ruin her. She gives herself in his hands.

So although she was not fine with it. With her overwhelming love for him...

"Then I am okay with it."
