Gun vs Yuito (2)

[Yuito's POV]

*Thup-dup*

*Thup-dup*

*Thup-dup*

We were in an alley where no one would disturb us. It was a place where we could duke it all out as much as we wanted.

I looked around the alley, it was quite wide being 12 feet or so. I checked the surroundings and searched for stuff that could be used as a weapon or other objects that could cause serious injuries.

Although I knew Gun was not someone to use cheap tricks like that, it was better to be safe than sorry.

It was noon and the sun was still high in the sky so the alley was not as dark or ominous as one would imagine. This was good as my Sun Breathing worked better under the sun.

I looked at my opponent and he was smoking a cigarette while watching me with his black eyes that seem to suck in light.

It was astonishing how much pressure he exuded just standing there. All the instincts I have sharpened through years of training martial arts, the instincts that told me when a dangerous attack was coming, the instincts that could size up my opponents, the instinct that told me when and how to dodge punches and down to the ancient instinct passed on from the early man that made them wary of danger like poisonous snakes or herbs.

All of those instincts were screaming at me. My hair stood up even when he just stood there, smoking and doing nothing.

My body was extremely on edge. It was in fight-or-flight.

I chose to fight so my body was preparing itself for the upcoming battle - of what it thought was survival.

My heart beat inside my chest rapidly, pumping as much blood as possible to distribute energy. As a result, my body started heating up and I started sweating.

"You are a dangerous one aren't you." Gun commented, puffing out the smoke of the cigarette. He was speaking fluent Japanese.

"You were born in the wrong country." he said, "I can understand you, I was also born in that lackluster country."

If I remember correctly, Gun was born in a Yakuza clan in Japan called the Yamazaki clan. He was the young master of this clan but for some unknown reason, he killed his whole clan and even the other Yakuza clans before leaving the country.

it's weird I have never heard of this incident from the news. Maybe it was suppressed since they were Yakuza and all.

"It's unfortunate, isn't it? You were born in a country with peace where you get sweet love, drama and a slow life when you were clearly made for war and violence. You should've been born here in Korea." He said and shook his head in disappointment.

"Such raw talent, going to waste-"

"Enough talk!" I said, "Just come at me, I will show you if my talent is a waste or not."

He took a long final puff of his cigarette before he flicked it away. And right when the cigarette bud hit the ground, we moved.

I drew in a sharp breath and used sun breathing. My muscles worked as hard as they could and all the things I have learned throughout my life came crashing at this moment.

We met in the middle, it was a surprise how he was able to keep up with my speed when it was one of my strongest attributes.

*POWW!!*

*POWW!!*

I hit him with an uppercut to the chin and he hit me with a hook. My endurance which was my highest stat showed its wonders as I tanked the punch rather easily.

I could not even worry about getting a bruise on my pretty face at the moment. Everything fades away into unimportance, my morals, my humor, my story, etc.

The only thing at the moment was violence.

Only violence.

The rawest and most primal thinh that has existed since life began. It exhilarating.

We pulled back our hands and threw another punch, I threw a hook this time and he threw an uppercut. I hit him right in his face and it sounded like I hit him with a bat.

My punches were probably stronger than a bat.

His uppercut on the other hand missed, and although he could keep up with my speed, I was slightly faster. A millisecond was a huge advantage in a fight of this caliber.

We exchanged a few more punches that were powerful enough to kill the average person before Gun intensified the fight.

"You're fast." Gun commented while hitting me right at my temple. He followed that up with a Karate style straight punch to my chest.

*POKH!!*

I let out silent screams.

He followed up with different punching combinations that landed on me. I could not dodge or counterattack.

I was worng, he was faster.

"But your strength lacks behind." He said and pulled me towards him, I put up my hand to block any incoming punches to my torso or head but instead, he kneed me on my thighs,

"Most importantly, your inexperience is disgusting." He elbowed my chin and I saw stars as my head snapped up to the sky.

i was faster yet I could not keep up with him at all. I realize now that it doesn't matter if I could react faster when I saw his attacks later.

He was like a machine, he was not just throwing out attacks like I did. He did not fill up the opening like I did.

His body just attacked and the openings just filled itself for him. It was because he was so experienced that his body almost attacked by itself, he did not need to think.

While my mind thought about hitting and my body followed, he was different. He no longer needed to think and his body just moved on pure instinct and reflex. That was why I could not keep up with him even though I was faster.

That milliseconds where I thought about my attack and he didn't, made him faster.

'So that was it.' I thought to myself, 'Noted.'

[Title : The Prodigy]

Gun threw a straight punch but I was able to lean to the side and dodge the attack.

'Your body moves first and your mind tries to keep up. Don't waste even a moment to think about attacking, just do it.'

"huh?" Gun voiced out his confusion when I delivered an uppercut from below the opening of his arm.

His mouth spat out blood as his head snapped upwards due to my punch.

[Agility : 30--> 35]

He punched again to retaliate but I dodged and counterattacked with a jab to his nose that made a crunching sound. His nose broke.

Then we exchanged multiple attacks again but I was faster than him. He seemed shocked and he threw a fast jab at me.

I leaned back and jumped in the air and put his outstretched arm in an armbar while I was in the air. I pulled as hard as I could and although I did not break it, I knew I damaged it.

I kicked his face and immediately jumped off before he slammed me on the ground.

"Intresting HAHAHA!!" He had a manic smile on his face, "What was that? I swear you were not that fast before?"

I took a boxing stance as he walked towards me. When he was within my reach, I threw a quick jab at him and he bent his knee to get under my fist, dodging my jab.

Then he threw a low side-kick to my body that sent me tumbling away.

He leaped in the air and descended towards me like a meteorite and a hammer kicked me right on my shoulder, making a broken sound as I realized my shoulder had been broken just like that.

I fought through the pain an inhaled sharply with sun breathing.

[Sun Breathing : Novice -- Intermediate]

I grabbed his leg and with his feet on my shoulder, I tried to break his knee but he saw through my plan before I even executed them.

He spun around twice and landed a 720* kick on my head that made me spin like a wheel before I flopped on the ground.

*BAAAAM!!!*

It was so powerful I felt my jaw breaking just from that. The blood from my mouth flowed out like vomit as I quickly did a kip up to avoid another incoming hammerkick.

The ground cracked and a crater formed when his kick hit the ground.

I flexed my knees and shot out like I had spring on my feet and tried to land an uppercut but he easily dodged it and gave me a spinning elbow that cut my face and I bled from it again.

It was not working anymore. He was faster than me again.

Then I realized how he got faster than me this time. It was because he predicted my moves before I even made them. I was so inexperienced to him that he could already guess how I would react before I even did.

He read me like a book.

"Like I said, too green."

How do I overcome it? How do I defeat him?

My martial arts are not working. He was so good that he could easily predict me. How am I supposed to overcome that?

My mind ran a million thoughts a second as I tried to find a way to make up for the weakness I had. Suddenly, someone who fought in an unpredictable manner came in my mind.

Munseoung.

[Title : The Prodigy]

His animal instinct made him fight like an animal, completely unpredictable. It did not use any martial arts and only fought with the aim to kill.

I tried to recall how he fought and imitated him.

I leaped away from Gun and crouched on all fours and curled my fingers like claws. I need to imitate him, I need the animal instinct.

*Ting!!*

[New skill :-

Animal Instinct : Novice.]

My purple eyes glowed and I leaped at him. He tried predicting my attact and he thought he was successful when he moved his head to the left and dodged my punch.

But I never intended to punch him.

My fist flew past him but then I suddenly grabbed him by the ear and pulled as hard as I could. He grits his teeth and his ear tears a bit.

I pulled him towards me and launched a punch towards his face. He tried blocking it but instead of his face, I punched his throat.

He brought his leg up and kicked me on my stomach as hard as he could, sending me flying and crashing onto a trash can.

"INCREADIBLE!!!" He screamed loudly towards the sky, "ABSOLUTELY INCREADIBLE!!"

"COME FIGHT ME!!!" He screamed at me with his eyes full of madness. He was insane.

I also stood up slowly from amongst the garbage and wiped away the blood on my face.

The aura around Gun intensified, showing that he was finally going to go all out. It was more choking than the last time.

He felt like the devil himself.

He tore off his shirt completely and exposed his torso, showing his scars that spoke of past battles to the world and me.

*Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup* *Thup-dup*

I activated bullet time.

[Bullet Time : Intermediate]

I knew I would not be able to keep up with Gun if he went completely out. He was much stronger than me.

But with the help of bullet time, I would be able to keep up with him and fight him on equal ground.

For 5 full minutes, we would be equal.

But I think it would be enough.

I was someone with the perfect body like Daniel Park and also had almost infinite talent and the ability to do the impossible through my special skill [Top G]

Let's hope during the next violent and intense five minutes, I will be able to grow and evolve enough to defeat him.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!" With a laugh mirroring Gun's madness, I shot towards him. The ground cracked due to my power as I shot towards him like a bullet.

Gun also shot forward and we both used a Karate backkick as our legs met right in the middle. The air screamed due to our quick movements.

*WOOOOOSHHH!!!*

*BOOOM!!!*
