Romance. Again?

Love hurts. When it is betrayed.

And time doesn`t heal. It scars. It doesn`t hurt anymore, it doesn`t bleed anymore but it sticks. Forever.

Love is not faithful. It fades.

And you will find yourself never trusting anyone ever again.

Love is not blind. It sees all.

And it just accepts everything, perfect and imperfection.

Love is not forgiving. It hates.

And you realize they go hand in hand. Like poison and medicine.

Love is not beautiful. It is ugly.

And you realize it was never worth it.

..

..

{Bro stop it, we both know you aren`t that deep.}

'Please for the love of God don`t bother me anymore.' I said helplessly to the Author.

I was currently in my room with a guitar in my hands and trying to come up with a new melody. I was trying to get in the mood to come up with a song.

[Skill :-

Guitar : Advanced]

It has been more than a week since I ended things with Tsukimi and the emotional trauma was slowly fading away. But before it fully fades away, I wanted to do something to remember this part of my life.

A song.

{Cringe as fuck bro, you do know that not everyone who had breakup writes a song right?}

It was morning and I had finished working out and had just taken a bath. Right now I was passing the time with my guitar. God knows I suck but it was nice playing once in a while.

{Are you even listening to me?}

The voice inside my head had been one of the greatest thing that happened to me. Even on the first night when I was feeling down, he was always there.

I never really had friends in both my lives and I was extremely grateful to have someone like him. Though he can be annoying sometimes but I guess that`s what friends do.

{Oi!!}

'You wouldn`t understand.' I said in a sarcastically tragic tone, hinting something.

{?} he did not speak but I could imagine his expression clearly.

"Yuto!!!~" I heard my mother call me and I stopped strumming the guitar and put it away.

I stretch out a bit before going down and have breakfast with my mother. She had been making extra effort in her cooking recently after learning that I had a breakup.

'Oh, what kind of witch would hurt my dearest son. I am so sad for you~' She had said while hugging me but it didn`t really come off as sincere with the smile that was engraved on her face when she learned the news.

I wonder why that is though?

I went down to the kitchen and had a warm breakfast with my mother. We never talked much but there was a comfortable silence while we ate.

"So how is school honey? You haven`t talked about it for a while."

How was school? Hmmm...

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea. I didn`t have friends not have I ever interacted with any of my classmates.

When I think about it, I didn`t even know the name of anyone in our class!!! I just attend there and I was also usually late.

I would just sleep the whole time or just read a novel. I used school as a place to rest after training. And I could get away with it completely.

The Highschool I attend was called Itan Private School. It was an elite school which focuses on co-curriculum activities and gave less importance on academics.

It could be said to be the most popular highschool in Japan. Not the best, but popular.

The students who go there have different quirks and talents outside academics. Aspiring Authors, Idols, Models, Athletes, Singers etc. all go there for the simple fact that you are treated well in the school.

Even if you are bad at studies, as long as you are talented in other fields you will not be bothered much by the teachers. Instead they will try and make sure you graduate even at the cost of bonus mark here and there.

In fact, many people who didn`t want to study but wanted to just be a highschool graduate go there. But you need to have some specialty to attend it though.

So I, as a popular upcoming combat athlete was treated very well. I could basically do anything i wanted in the school. I would go as far as to say that they gave me special privilege amongst others because Japan didn`t have much famous fighters.

I was the Youth National number 1 in Boxing, Karate and Wrestling after all.

"Honey?" my mother called, snapping me out of my thoughts.

'What were we talking about again?'

{School.}

Right.

I looked at my mother with a smile and said school was fine and I had made many great friends.

"You should invite them sometimes." My mother said to me.

{She doesn't know all your friends are here on the table.}

I chuckled.

"I would very much like to meet your friends." she said, then she paused, thinking for a moment.

"Is there a girl among your friends?" she asked in a questioning tone, pretending to not care much but that just tells me how much she really cared about it.

"No, don`t worry mom. I don`t plan on having girls for a while." I said and my mother smiled.

Then she nodded, satisfied.

Then she smiled again.

Before nodding again with a her eyes closed. Truly satisfied.

'That's weird but not suspicious at all.'

She said it was good and I should be careful since I was still young. She said relationship like that never last unless you are adult. She said not to hurry and take my time finding someone.

She also jokes about me living with her forever. At least I think she was joking.

I told her I understand and got up from the table as I had finished eating. I immediately went to my room and changed into my school uniform which consists of a blue blazer, a white shirt, red tie and black pants.

I looked at myself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction before going down again and finally leaving my house.

I took out my phone and scrolled through the message and one them which caught my attention was from my coach. He was begging me to visit the karate dojo and to train for the upcoming World Junior Karate Championship.

Which was one of the most prestigious Karate competition and it is only held in Tokyo, every four years.

I had visited the dojo only 4 days ago to relief my stress from the recent incident and haven`t gone back since.  He was begging me to train seriously as the championship was only a month away.

That doesn't mean that I was not training. I was just not training Karate and focused on boxing.

I replied to his message by saying I would visit soon before keeping my phone back in my pocket.

I chatted with the author while I made my way to school. I walked on the footpath. I was walking very fast, almost jogging but I remained relatively cool. Not tired at all.

Soon I reached my school, there was big building which was the main building where the classrooms are located and there area also smaller buildings around it. The Auditorium, the sports stadium etc.

The compound was also extremely large and it holds swimming pool. basketball court and even a football field. All the facilities were well maintained too.

It was absolutely crazy. Especially when you think about the fact that it was a Private highschool.

I went in the gate and the students present inside were all very diverse. Everyone had different vibes, hair and bodies.

Some are small, then some are humongous. Some are skinny while some are extremely muscular.

But the one thing they all had in common was confidence and self assurance. It appears as if none of them were average and that seemed more apparent as there was no one with average looks.

All shapes and sizes considered, everyone could be said to be above average in looks alone.

When I wlaked in the atmosphere of the students changed and they turned their head towards me. They whispered to each other and they even made way for me.

"Oh my god he is so dreamy!!" one girl said while another commented that she was exactly right. Keep dreaming.

"Do you think he is really a delinquent?" I heard one guy said loudly while another said, "Look at his physique!! Even through his clothes you can easily see it. How can a fighter achieve such good physique?"

There was a small commotion as I walked to my class and the most popular comment was.

"Oh my god he is on time!!"

I ignored all of them. This was one of the reason I didn`t like to be on time. its either being early or being late or face their comments everyday.

My poor social spirit could not take it.

After a while, I reached my class and sat on my seat before taking out a book and reading it under the table.

School started and continued as usual and I could not be bothered to pay attention anymore. Most of the things they taught are useless to me - an athlete - anyways and I could easily pass the exams after a night of studying due to my high intelligence.

---___---___---___---

{Dude, you have to talk to her. She is cute as fuck!!} the Author said again for what I assumed to be the 77th time.

He was talking about the pretty girl who was in our class. Honestly, with how things are right now, I didn`t want to have a girlfriend anytime soon.

But he was continuously doing that since the beginning of the class. He didn't even leave the teachers out!!

'Why are you so persistent on me talking to girls?' I asked.

{Did you forget? Your life is supposed to be my story!!! It needs to be interesting and since we are in a seemingly normal world, the best you can do is to at least have romance or maybe kinky stuff.

{What you are doing is also very lame for a main character, might I add.}

I was reading 'Chicken soup for the teenage soul' by the way.

I mean, what was lame with that? It builds character. And I would rather build and develop my character before the world does it for me.

'Romance?' I scoffed. 'Not happening anytime soon.'

{You don`t have a choice.} he said,

I narrowed my eyes like a cowboy, 'Are you threatening me?'

{No, I am asking you nicely as a friend. Live an interesting life.}

An interesting life huh? Well I wanted to be a world champion fighter so that counts as an interesting life. My journey towards the top.

But I didn`t want romance, especially when it is forced like this. Love should come naturally.

'Sorry dude. No romance in your story.' I said and I heard the author sighs.

Romance? Love? No thanks.

But with all seriousness, the only thing that could convince me would be, if the waifu of waifus, the best girl in existence was to fall from the sky and land on my table. Maybe then I will consider it.

Which would never happen. I chuckled to myself.

"Hey!!! Watch out!!!" I heard a panic shout and saw sudden movements to my side. My heartbeat quickened and time slowed down for me. I was ready to fight, it was instinct.

I looked around and my eyes landed on golden strands of hair that scattered around like sunlight.

It was the hair of a girl and she was falling towards me. She was in the air.

Time seemed to barely move as she continued to fall. Then I was able to catch glimpse of her face.

Her eyes were wide and sparkled in shock. They were dark pink and have beautiful eyelashes.

Her skin was fair and seemed sensitive. There was also cute blushes right under her eyes.

I didn`t take my eyes off her and just when I was going to study her small nose, time resumed.

*Whoosh*

Everything became fast and they happened in a flash.

*BAAM!!*

I was fast enough to put my hand under her head  so she had safe landing right on top of my table.

She landed. Her back on the table and I quickly removed my hands and looked at her as if I saw an idol.

I was shocked and my mind process what happened.

'She fell from the sky.'

'And she landed right on my table.'

"ow, ow, ow, ow." She said as she grabbed the edge of my table. She was wincing and closing her eyes even though I was pretty sure she suffered no injuries.

Then her eyes opened, they glazed like a glass and looked at my eyes.

Well I`ll be dammed.

'The waifu of waifus.'

{Holy shit she checks out all the boxes.} the author laughed.

"Marin Kitagawa."
